Beautiful Private Large Cabin Overlooking Ogontz Lake in Ogontz Resort
About this house rental
Situated in Lisbon, this lovely house for $677 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This North Country cabin is situated on Ogontz Lake and in the Ogontz Resort. You can book this property directly through the resort without the VRBO fees and see our other amenities and dining packages at www ogontzwhitemountans com (you will have to add the . as VRBO does not allow websites) It has beautiful views and is immersed in nature. A perfect place to take the whole family, the common room is a large open space for dining and lounging. The house is very private and secluded. The fireplace and woodstove provide wonderful mountain atmosphere and warmth when desired. There is a space to launch canoes or kayaks to the swimming area across the lake, but please note it is not the ideal place to swim right from the house property. The resort has its own swimming area and floating dock 4 min from the house. The Hiking and ATV Trails are adjacent to the house and go around the lake. Ice Skating and Ice fishing on the lake is wonderful in the winter and skiing is close by. Amazing view year round but full brilliant colors and views of the area in fall foliage season! Long private drive to secluded house with ample parking. Check in after 3pm, check out no later than 10 am. This house is part of a larger resort called Ogontz open May-October that is a 4 min drive down the road to the main campus. There we have a short hike to our private swimming area and floating dock, kayak and canoe rentals, plenty of hiking trails, evening activities like trivia and Smore's bonfires, a cafe and provisions store and plenty of play structures and lawn games for the kids and adults. This is all included in the rate. You may also add on meal packages in our dining facilities if desired. We also have Littleton just a 10min drive down the road which is an adorable mountain town with shops and restaurants. If you wish to book this please go to our website at www ogontzwhitemountains com. You also have the option to add this on when you arrive. Master bedroom has 1 Queen Bed 2nd Bedroom has two Twin Beds 3rd Bedroom has 1 Twin Bed 2 Full Bath Finished Basement with additional sleeping for 4 with 1 bedroom with a double and 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. Attractions: Littleton Main St. Restaurants and Shopping (15 min.), Moore Reservoir or Conn. River (10 min.), Cannon Mtn. & Franconia State Park (25 min.), Flume Gorge (25min.), Whale's Tale Water Park (35 min.), Bretton Woods & Mt. Washington Cog Railway (30 min.), Loon Mtn. (30 min.), Clarks Trading Post (45 min.), Santa's Village (1 hr.), Six Gun City (1 hr.) Several excellent restaurants and great shopping (tax free) in historic downtown Littleton only 10 miles away.

I have to agree with previous reviews. The pictures do not due this cabin justice. This is the perfect combination of mountains and lakeside living. It has beautiful views of the lake and hills beyond. It is peaceful and private, far away from the typical crowds and tourist areas, which we wanted. At night i could only see a few other lights over the lake. The beautiful fieldstone fireplace was a highlight. By the way is was already lit and ready for us when we arrived. The property owner was attentive and quickly responded to any questions we had. And thank you for being dog friendly! The cabin was well equiped and has everything one would need for a stay. We will drfinitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quiet cabin in the woods. Love having a wood burning fireplace after a day of skiing. Spacious kitchen with plenty of pots and pans to cook with. Lots of space to spread out with a finished basement, although it was cold down there and only space heaters to provide heat.
Grocery store and Wal mart about 15 minutes away.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the walk from the house down to the lake is rather steep but manageable. Although, this particular access to the water isn't suitable for swimming, it was easy to find spots for the dogs to jump in along the trails that surround the lake.
We used the large stone fireplace many times and had plenty of wood for that and the fire pit outside.
Overall it was a great experience and we will be returning. Don't forget your fishing pole...there are some monster bass in there!

4th of July Getaway

Amazing weekend get away
This property was amazing the house was clean and beautiful. We had 8 guys and plenty of space for activities and sleeping as well. I would 100 percent run to this house every year and csnt wait to come again. The lake was awesome and so wasn't the ice fishing thsnks again to the property owners and we r excited to rent from u again in the near future.

We felt instantly cozy and at home in this spacious cabin. The fireplace was all set up for us when we arrived, and while we were only 3 people there would have been ample space for a larger group. Would love to come back!

Very easy VRBO experience, property manager friendly and easy to reach. The cabin was beautiful and on an amazing piece of property overlooking the lake. Kids had an amazing time playing in the snow! We felt the kitchen/dining area could have been cleaned a little better but it was nothing a quick wipe down by myself couldn't fix. Overall a great experience!

A Little Piece of Heaven
This is now our 2nd trip (last time in October) and we enjoy this place so much we have decided to make it a bi-annual trip. It was 0 degrees outside but the gigantic fireplace (with a plethora of wood on hand) kept us warm and cozy. Everyone from age 7 to 77 had such a memorable experience. Plenty of space to socially distance too! We will be back again and again!
