The location is exceptional and Pauline is super friendly. The cottage is warm and is located on a lovely farm.
Unfortunately the bed was way too small, it was a bit bigger than a single bed, in no way it is a double bed, on top of that unfortunately the mattress is also very old and uncomfortable.
The cooker in the kitchen is very old, and it takes longer to cook things on the hob and the oven.
(We booked the pear tree cottage)

The beautiful surroundings and warm welcome. There are plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding area.

Pauline was very nice and the girls l9ved Jack the dog and the small pony and mule.
The accomodation was nice and clean with a good distance to lisburn, hillsborogh and Moira good base for the whole north and east coast
Nothing it was lovely but just be mindfully that while its close to towns and villages it is not in one.

The property was full of wonderful treasures to explore and we thoroughly enjoyed walking the grounds to see the beautiful historical buildings and gardens!
There was nothing we did not like. it was exactly everything we had hoped to find when wanting to stay in a quaint cottage.

No breakfast included
When we first viewed the property what attracted my partner was that he could fish the lake. Although when we got there we were told that it was rented to a private club. This was not advertised on the website when we were booking. It was also advertised that there was an open fire and when we arrived it was an electric fire that didn’t light up, it worked but not fully. We were also told not to use it. When we arrived we were told to look about as we pleased, but however when we were looking about the woman said that she had a meeting and made us feel like we had to leave the area.

The sofa bed in the living room is ancient. The most uncomfortable sofa and sofa bed in the world. They need to spend some money on a new one.

Pauline is a lovely hostess and very helpful with directions. Her property is peaceful and extensive and she welcomes guests to walk around it to visit the sheep, ducks and goats. It is self-catering and there are several grocery stores nearby. You do need a car to reach this location but it is very near the town of Lisburn. Lisburn is connected to Belfast and a variety of other destinations by train. We parked the car at the Lisburn train station or on the surrounding streets (for free every day) and purchased round trip train tickets to go in and out of Belfast (4 - 6 Euro total). Belfast is a small, walkable city and most tours leave from the Belfast train station area, so driving in Belfast is not necessary. Hillsbourough - a small English town - is 4 miles from the cottage and does require the car. It is worth visiting if you are interested in touring the Royal family's official Northern Ireland home and gardens.
Make sure you have clear directions before you try to find this place. We travelled without GPS or data but thankfully, we had the staff delivery men at the Iceland grocer in Lisburn, help us find the cottage.

There was a security deposit taken straight away and then the cost of the stay deducted from the credit card on top of the deposit. The deposit itself was finally refunded to our credit card 3 weeks after our visit. Once the deposit was refunded the final cost of the stay still came in over €50 more than was listed when we booked so we're not sure if that was all down to exchange rate differences.

We were only in Ireland for my son's wedding so we didn't really get to appreciate the cottage, farm or surrounding countryside. Pauline was very friendly and my hair and make up for the wedding were, by coincidence, done by her friend.
We are used to a warmer climate here in France so we should have asked for the heating to be on all day or turned up higher. We didn't really have time so we kept our coats on!

Spacious and comfortable cottage in rural location. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the ideal escape. Cottage is well equipped. We did a big shop before arrival to ensure we were well stocked with food etc as the nearest shop is 3 miles away by car. Hope
Nothing - all good

A lovely old cottage and a.nice environment. The beds were really comfortable and we loved being able to walk out to see the goat, ponies and ducks.
A nice distance from Belfast.
The WiFi wasn't stable when we moves out of the living room and the folding bed had seen better days.

Cottage was very clean.
