Friendly reception staff. Motel was older style but comfortable and clean. About a 15 minute walk into the centre of town which wasnt an issue for us.
Very thin walls! Could easily hear the people in the next unit, talking, coughing, laughing etc. Just the era of when the motel was built I guess, no sound proofing.

Availability of a pool (but sadly unable to use due to limited time at the hotel). The bed was very comfortable and spacious and the sheets were good quality. The curtain treatment was ideal and well thought out. Cleanliness excellent. We liked the drip-coffee availability. The drip coffee sachets were near impossible to open the sachet as it needed a pair of scissors or sharp knife to open it. I managed it with difficulty using a nail file).
We were disappointed that there were no towels in the bathroom, only a bathmat and handtowel. The reception closed immediately after our arrival and so we were unable to report this to the staff in person. We tried telephoning the phone number in the pamphlet left in the apartment, and received a a rather emphatic recorded message saying that the after hours telephone service was only to be used in an emergency. Obviously the absence of towels was not reallty an emergency, just an inconvenience. Added to this was the fact that the office was apparently not open again until 9am, departure from the apartment being 10 am, which meant we wouldn't have enough time to shower before departure.
We were ready to leave at 9 am and went to the office to return the key and to report the absence of towels. The receptionist was very apologetic and commented that this had happened before, but did not offer to make amends by making a reduction in the cost of our stay a little which would have been appreciated. We felt uncomfortable asking her to do so as there were other people at the reception desk and we didnt want there to be any awkwardness or embarrassment , therefore we left feeling rather dissatisfied and a bit disappointed.

We felt uncomfortable asking for her to do so as there were other people at the reception desk and we didnt want to make it awkward or embarrassing for anyone.
The drip coffee sachets were near impossible to open. A pair of scissors or sharp knife to open it would have been the answer. I managed it with difficulty using a nail file I happened to have in my handbag).

Good location and access. The room and bathroom was comfortable. It was quite overnight.
The bathroom and room was clean but not under the bed which was full of dust and had disposal condom containers underneath. Obviously the cleaners forgot to look under the bed

Very comfortable bed and easy access to the outside with the sliding door. Excellent hot water system.
I would have liked some drinking glasses for water. There were only two coffee mugs. They were not in the fridge. I checked.
The TV has a very bright standby light underneath the main screen. I had to cover the TV with a towel.
I would have like a face washer. There was only a large hand towel which was difficult to wash with.

Nice little balcony attached, restaurant on site. We liked the fact that there was a tennis court but we didn’t get a chance to use it because of the rain.
That we had to share the room with the kids and that it was raining but we can’t control that can we…I think we’d have enjoyed it better if it was Summer and take advantage of the pool too.

Owners were understanding of our concerns of the room and acted immediately. Garden view was pleasant.
Indian restaurant on site was very good.
Room adequate.
Original room advertised with balcony, but it was literally a cage between two adjoining balconies. We consequently requested a room change. Original room had been chosen as cooking facilities available. This however was extremely limited. New room had no microwave or toaster but owners did provide some crockery and cutlery following room change and offered microwave.

Lovely staff, our team was well looked after. Great value for money.
Would love to see some more self-catering options in the rooms like a stovetop etc in the future!
