Good location, free parking, simple but clean rooms, good breakfast
Unbelievable rude cleaning staff. Entering the room in spite of the do not disturb sign and even after my shouting “please no do not enter” whilst I was naked in the bathroom. Did not apologise either. Front desk offered a drink to compensate…No formal apology from the rude staff member. Needless to say I felt very unsafe in this Hotel since.

Me encantó este hostel, el personal encantador, muy tranquilo lo que te permite descansar, la habitación es sencilla pero con todo lo que necesitas Limpio. El desayuno tiene un poco de dulce y un poco de salado. Puedes cenar.

Volterra is a small city that you should not miss during your visit to Tuscany. This property was a good choice for our family of 4. Breakfast was very good and the rooms are super spacious. Great value for money. Staff was very kind too. Plus: parking spots in place.
All good.

The atmosphere, the cloister, the history
After a long drive it wasn’t possible to have a salad for lunch as the kitchen had just closed (2.15pm)

A lovely hotel: peaceful and very atmospheric. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had my mother with us, who is disabled, so we ate in the restaurant each night, The food and service were very good. There was plenty of parking. The rooms were spotless and with plenty of space. We would definitely recommend.
The air conditioning and hot water were a little unreliable at times, but not enough to spoil our holiday. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice.

the property is very beautiful with 2 courtyard gardens to relax in. The breakfast included was delicious and a big choice. we had dinner twice which was lovely and good value and very convenient. staff are so lovely and there is nothing they weren’t willing to help with. we had a superior room which was recently renovated and very comfortable and clean. would recommend for families as not too far to walk from town but convenient with parking.

the courtyard could host a few more plants.. the breakfast was nice - but a little to "suggary".

A beautiful and peaceful setting not too far from town.
Take care walking along the roadside into town.

Beautiful building, friendly staff, decent dinners. Fun to enjoy a spritz in a former cloister.
Internet was a bit flaky. Large group of kids on a school trip somewhat ruined the quiet contemplative atmosphere one day.

Walking distance from the city center, beautiful historical building, breakfast is okay (but not very special) and free parking in front of the hotel.
We did not always have WiFi in our room.

Charming and different -not like a corporate hotel but very friendly clean and simple.

Parking on site, nice cosy room with recently renovated bathroom, beautiful view of Volterra, and very friendly staff.
Breakfast buffet doesn't have too many savoury options. Rooms could do with mosquito nets. There was a large group of children when we where there (these things cannot be helped, of course, but they were very loud in the evening).

Superb location, and staff and rooms. never had a bigger room for such a price 🙂. Heater and airco in the room. Super quiet location.
Breakfast would be better as no warm choice (maybe due to low season 🤔)

Front desk Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a nice variety. Dinner at the restaurant was very good as was the service. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the cloister. Large parking lot. we loved the town of Volterra. so much to see and enjoy. And this was a great place to stay

Really nice helpful staff, excellent location, characterful building, good value for money. This is a great place to stay, with nice rooms and particularly relaxed staff. We had a late arrival and the lady on reception couldn't have been more accommodating.
Biggest issue by far was mosquitoes - both myself and my son suffered numerous bites in the room, even though it was end of October (although the weather was exceptionally warm) - definitely bring some repellent. Breakfast also could do with some actual juice (even from concentrate) plus perhaps a little fruit, although it was otherwise good.

Clean, spacious, excellent service, children friendly, great location, peaceful at night.
