The whole setup is amazing. My kids spent all of their time on the truck or playing with the toy trucks, which made it easy for me to just relax. Absolutely loved it.

the fire truck itself is amazing. Stayed for my sons birthday and he loved it!

The overal theme and novelty of the place was brilliant, a real 'got to try once' kind of feel. The spa was great, and very relaxing for my husband and I, exactly what we needed - to be honest it was the selling point for us. If it didn't have the spa it would've been a bit of a let down.
Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the entire place. The walls in first toilet were very grubby, around the toilet paper which makes us cringe a little bit. The cups, cutlery, cutlery draw and things were also very dirty. Not just one that was missed, a lot of them. Thankfully we didn't use the cutlery as were ordered pizza, but we noticed them and they were filthy. There were some cups still wet inside, I assume from being washed from previous stay or the cleaner, but we counted at least 6 cups/glasses that were dirty. Wine glasses needed to be washed before use, it was not at all exceptable for the amount of money being charged per night. Lots of small details that need attention, crack in wall near spa and things like that. Pictures online are great but certainly needs attention. We also found there was way too many kiddy books/toys etc - as we were without our children we spent so long tidying up and moving these things out the way, I understand they're fire engine themed but just looks a little junkie scattered everywhere. The furniture isn't overly comfortable either, we ended up putting a movie on in bed with my MacBook - the couch and tv area isn't very inviting, could be updated perhaps.

Where else can your 7yo daughter have her nap in a vintage fire truck? Where else can her brothers compete and try to shimmy to the ceiling on the pole?
Please get a new fridge.

Great memorabilia, facilities and beds
Could hear everything going on up stairs: doors opening closing, talking and walking around witch made it hard to enjoy the room and family time.

aircon leaked and fridge door would not close

A fabulous idea and children loved it Close to bakery, playground and OConnell St for evening meals or supermarket. Also loved the special touches of books snd toys.
Some parts of the engine need repairing for safety. The floor was not cleaned recently under engine.

We didn’t have the breakfasts.
It was lovely and warm when we arrived and very inviting with the fire already lit and some lights on. The radio was set to a classical station which was lovely. It was easy to find the envelope with the key. The bedding and towels and robes were all very clean and I happily put my baby in the travel cot and bedding provided. It was great that the second bedroom also had a heater in it. There was some lovely furniture. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of hot water and great water pressure! The shower was nice and powerful. There were lots of towels and bath mats provided.
I think there needs to be some updating in terms of the kitchen, it’s getting a bit old and dated now. Same as the bathroom which could also do with an update in keeping with the property. All the newspaper clippings are nice but they are all so old now that they aren’t really relevant. Some new articles would be great. As a parent of a young, crawling baby it would have been nice to have had a fire guard that could make the fire safe whilst letting the heat through and still be able to see the fire. The one there is more decorative than practical. It also would have been really good to have had a child safety gate across the stairs leading down to the ground floor. We had to make sure the glass door was shut at all times but the option of placing a safety gate there would have been reassuring. The stairs from the bathroom are a trip hazard but I don’t know if anything can be done about that. Especially so, if the bathroom floor is a bit damp and slippery.

Fabulous b&b for kids who love fire engines!
A coffee machine would have been a very much appreciated addition, and probably worthwhile given that the property is marketed as luxury accommodation.
Parking (got a fine).
Instant coffee.

The spa, the location, the decoration, very unique, and good that it has two toilets. Host excellent to communicate with. Loved everything except for the sleeping arrangements for more than 2 people
The main bed was very comfortable, but the pull out couch for the other two adults was absolutely terrible, the springs go right through your ribs. if the pull out couch had a better mattress it will definitely be worth the money, but everybody needs a good nights sleep

It was different yet amazing! Loved it
Outdoor seating of some kind would’ve been the icing on the cake but it was no drama

Such a unique experience and such a welcoming environment

The windows on the fire station need to be tripple glazed to keep the noise out from all the public outside talking and tapping on the windows. And when you have people upstairs at 630 in the morning walking around with high heels on isn't ideal .
