EXCELLENT LOCATION! The Ocean Pearl is a classic OBX beach bungalow. This vintage beach house in Kill Devil Hills was built in 1954 and is located across the street from the ocean and public beach access! It has been freshly updated and decorated with beachy decor throughout. Brand new leather sofa loveseat and chair January 2020! From the beach themed artwork on the walls to the starfish knobs on the dresser and nightstand in master bedroom, this quaint ONE LEVEL , two bedroom and one bathroom home will welcome you the minute you step through the door. There are queen beds in both bedrooms. if you have an extra child there is a twin size roll away bed available. Sheets are provided but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND PAPER PRODUCTS ETC. All tile floors. Streaming live TV , DVD player, and WiFi CENTRAL A/C!! NO noisy window units. Large bright sunroom with Washer and Dryer DOG FRIENDLY with completely fenced back yard. OUTDOOR ENCLOSED SHOWER with hot and cold water. Charcoal Park style grill. 6 ft. Picnic table. Across the street from popular beach access (with lifeguards) and Kill Devil Hills bath house. Safe pedestrian crosswalk with signal. Walk to gourmet deli with a little of everything including excellent made to order sandwiches, a wide variety of beer, and souvenirs Walk to Dairy Queen. Short drive to famous Wright brothers monument, miniature golf , shopping, restaurants and easy access to all Outer Banks attractions. Living room features leather sofa, loveseat, chair, ceiling fan, coffee table and end tables. 40 inch flat screen tv with cable and WIFi and DVD player. Kitchen appliances , refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffeemaker ,toaster , blender ,all utensils, dishes,pans and all your kitchen needs Master bedroom, one queen bed, dresser , nightstand and TV with cable, ceiling fan and closet with hangers. Second bedroom also has a queen size bed with two dressers and nightstand, ceiling fan and closet , now with streaming TV. Bathroom has shower with rain shower head and hand held sprayer with hand laid pebble floor . Remember to pack your towels. Outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after a dip in the ocean or for daily shower. Hot and cold water. Private and enclosed. Outdoor spigot for rinsing off your beach loving dogs! We stayed for 2 months with our pups to escape the winter snow of New England. Location is excellent: beach, groceries, restaurants, just about everything is close by. Home is clean, comfortable, everything you could ask for. Beautiful, secure fenced-in backyard. Would give Ocean Pearl 10 Stars if we could! Absolutely one of the loveliest, most comfortable VRBO stays we’ve experienced.

We usually stay at a hotel when we go to the outerbanks but with furbabies you are limited as to where you stay. So I rented this place! I loved having a fenced in back yard! And because it was off season it was quiet! We will definetly go back again! The hosts were very nice. Thankfully we had no issues so never had to contact them during our stay.

This is a nice little place to stay especially if you have your fur-babies along for the trip. The enclosed back porch was fantastic along with the fenced in yard. Property owners were very nice and pleasant to deal with.

Me and my wife just got back from a stay at Ocean Pearl. We absolutely loved this house and it was everything you would want in a nice vacation house….close to the beach, clean, nicely decorated, all the amenities, and a nice fenced in yard for our dogs. Definitely would recommend and will definitely come back for sure.

Again just a wonderful stay at the PEARL. Everything and we mean everything was super!! We will be staying for two weeks at a time next visits for it is so hard to leave after 7 days. Thank you for sharing your home for it is just what we desire. Thanks again

We had a great time! The vacation house is only a walk away from the beach. The fenced in yard with the outdoor shower made it a very easy experience for our dog.

Adorable retro cottage in a perfect location!
Everything was VERY clean and we had all the amenities we needed for making snacks and small meals for daytime and when we didn’t feel like going out for dinner. Plenty of dressers and closet space to keep things tidy. Lots of comfortable seating in the living area for reading or watching TV. With the home being on a beach access road, it's actually very quiet - the surrounding homes are a mix of full time resident and smaller vacation homes. No big party joints. The backyard is amazing, for one thing, it's BIG for an OBX yard and the fence is 6' except the shorter fence facing the driveway. Our dogs LOVED being able to go in and out without having to gear up for a walk (especially our senior dog). Plus there's shade from the small trees and NO prickly pear, sand spurs or burrs to be picking out of their (or your) feet. Beach access is pretty much across the street, so no having to load up the car with gear and drive. Soundside access is maybe a 10 minute drive for the littles or non-swimmers.
Owners are very nice and communication with them was great. Stress-free check in and check out.
We had been looking for a new place to stay after the cottage we had been returning to for nearly ten years became a full time residence for its owners - and we found it for sure! We will be back next year, hopefully a couple of times.

This is our 2nd time staying at the ocean pearl and another fantastic experience. Cant wait to make it 3! Close promiximity to everything you would want and need. Love beach access right across the street, doggies loves the fenced in back yard and the tile floors to keep them cool. Ocean Pearl is our home away from home when in the OBX.

We loved our stay at the Ocean Pearl! Having access to a fenced area to give the dogs an outside space where they didn’t have to be leashes was a huge factor in my decision to stay here and it didn’t disappoint. Joplin and Hendrix loved exploring the yard and soaking up some sun, and the house was a great size for the pups, me, and my mom! Having one floor made it easier for my mom to get around, and beach access right across the street was a dream! The place was clean and comfortable, hosts were quick to respond if needed, and we were very happy with our stay! We plan to be repeat guests!

This is our second summer staying at the Ocean Pearl and we loved every minute. Our dog loved sunbathing in the backyard. I was recently laid off, and 6 blissful days in OBX was exactly what we needed. We had sunshine every day and love how centrally located the Ocean Pearl is. Always clean, always easy to communicate with the owners...we want to see if we can come back in the off season AND next summer too. The Ocean Pearl has a piece of our hearts for sure.

Cottage is clean, well appointed and in a super location. The back yard is a huge asset. Neighbors were nice too.
I live in this street for 7 years back in 2001-7. Still as nice as ever. The owners were super to deal with. The dogs allowed was a super wonderful thing. They both loved the the yard and walks on the beach. Definitely will stay again with these owners!

Can't say enough good things about our stay at the Ocean Pearl! House and the fenced yard was perfect for the both of us and our 2 dogs. Location can't be beat, nestled between the Stop n Shop with everything you could possibly need (especially the breakfast bagels and subs) and the Dairy Queen. And only steps to the beach! Which has handicap ramp access, that was greatly appreciated by my 12 year old German Shepherd. Communication with the owners was great, and the house had everything we could have needed and more. Already planning our next year's vacation to come back!!

This stay had everything we were seeking. Location was perfect for beach, restaurants, and exploring other communities on the Outer-Banks. Had a nice fenced yard for our pup, plenty of beach gear and excellent wifi.

Arrived and house was in great shape and ready to entertain us. We kept thinking of John Mellenkamps song Little Pink Houses!! Great yard for our dogs and Awful Arthurs was a great eatery. Location Location Location!!! You can not find a better location!!! We loved this 50s style beach cottage!!! It’s exactly what we wanted!!! My wife and I with our teenage daughter and golden retriever had a wonderful stay!!! This property is close to everything, and there’s a beachwear/deli gas station right next door!!! The communication with the host was prefect!!! We definitely stay here again soon!!!

Location is great for hanging on the beach or as a jumping off point for visiting other OBX sites. Super clean and well taken care of. We’ve stayed at many VRBO places and this one is a standout. AND, we were able to bring our furry friend on vacation with us. Win, win, win!

Overall a very very nice place to stay. We were here during the shoulder season so it was NOT busy. Had great access to beach and area attractions without traffic or lots of people. Glad we got to experience the area while it was quiet. Not a lot of eateries open but we found what we needed. The highlight of our trip was coming back to a QUIET homelike setting……a real plus from hotels. We didn’t use the back yard but another real plus for BBQs and just hanging out especially for dog owners. The Cottage was definitely ready for beach users with chairs and outdoor shower (available April 1st). Nice access to beach as well 5 minute walk and one street to cross then you are there! Probably BUSY during high season since it sooooo close. Still Highly recommend staying here.

The Ocean Pearl is cozy and comfortable. It is so nice and clean and has everything you need. The decor and furnishings are cheerful and bright. The back yard is a private place to read or have a lunch. Access to the beach is just a three-minute walk away for a spontaneous afternoon walk or evening stroll. The house is close to everything but is tucked away on a quiet street. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. They responded very quickly when we contacted them.

We love staying at the Ocean Pearl with our two dogs! The house is the perfect size for the two of us and the backyard is great for our dogs. It is less than a block from the beach.
The kitchen has the fundamentals for cooking in as well as a full size fridge with ice maker, and a full size stove. The microwave works well to reheat leftovers from eating out! There is wonderfully comfortable furniture, the tvs work great, and the house is always clean! We highly recommend the Ocean Pearl for your vacation needs!

Me and mom stayed here in January and enjoyed it so decided to come back when it was a tad bit warmer but still not a lot of people. We had an absolute blast! The property was great once again clean and we felt Right at home. Even my fur baby was comfortable and remembered being there. The owners checked in to make sure we got in as well as made sure we did not need anything. Definitely Looking at dates for next year. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

Had wonderful week long stay here. The Stop 'n Shop next door was our go-to breakfast location. Fenced in back yard was awesome for our dogs, and the house was clean and well maintained. Do not hesitate to stay here if you're looking for a cozy house close to the beach! 10000% pet friendly!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Ocean Pearl. The home was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. My daughter loved her bedroom so much that I had to bribe her with snacks to come to the beach. Benji had an absolute blast zooming around the spacious backyard. The proximity to the beach was the cherry on top for me. Literally pack the cart and walk across the street and bam you’ve got toes in the sand. So lovely to just roll out of bed, make a pot of coffee and meander over to watch the breathtaking sunrise every morning. We enjoyed our stay so much and we hope to make it an annual family tradition. The hosts were wonderful. 10/10 would recommend ❤️

Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was charming, very clean and had everything we needed. Our dog had a great time in the fenced in back yard. It was very close to the beach - just a short walk across beach road.

Perfect getaway
The Ocean Pearl was wonderful getaway. Location was perfect right across the road from beach access many late nights I sat outside listening to the waves crashing onto the beach. Fenced in yard for our fur babies. Checking in was the easiest to do, Mindy even checked on us when we hadn’t checked in by 4 (traffic was a nightmare). Overall I loved it I would stay again and recommend others to stay.

Can't wait to go back
We love the Ocean Pearl! Cozy and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay and a day at the beach,
including umbrella and chairs . We loved being across the street from the beach, and next door to the Stop n Shop - great breakfast sandwiches. We enjoyed grilling out a couple nights in the backyard. So nice to have the yard for our dog too. I also loved the keyless lock - great not to have to keep track of a key when you going in and out. We can't wait to go back to OBX and stay at the Ocean Pearl.

Absolutely love this place . Super cute and cozy with a nice fence yard for the pups right across the street from the beach entrance . Walking distance to many restaurants and there’s a convenience store right behind it . Super nice and quiet area . Can’t wait to book again
