Extremly friendly and helpfull staff. Specialy the ladies From the Kids club, they are just adorable and our daughter loves them (she doesn’t speak neither English or French, but she enjoyed). Food was delicious, lot of variety, good WiFi, space full rooms, great swimming pool
There was a lot of grass in the sea, I guess hotel can do something about it to allow better swimming for the guest

Overall a great experience. Spent mostof ojt time aroud the swimming pool. La Casa italian restuarant is excellent.
The omly negativefpr me is the amount of flies present at breakfas and at the bar area during the rest of the day.

spacious rooms, the A/C was leaking in the bathroom which was wet all over. lovely restaurant and pool area. food is excellent
the rooms need maintenance and an upgrade… shoddy paint jobs

Lovely room, problem with leaking toilet - only resolved after reporting twice. Very nice and efficient room make up staff. Very happy with large selection of foods on offer at all the meals. Beach wonderful of course! Not happy with our dinner at the steak restaurant.
See above re the steak restaurant. The leaking toilet - which was resolved after a couple of days. The only two glitches during a wonderful stay.

All in all, it matched the expectations for a 4 star hotel. The beach was good, the room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping matched the expectations. The food was plenty and different every day. The three thematic restaurants were worth the try. Having the chance to shower even after check-out is a plus.
Generally speaking, the staff was ok. However, it was common to cross paths with a less pleasant individual. Good luck finding someone to serve you on the beach bars! The drinks are the really downside - all taste like cheap box juice, no matter which one you try. Although we were on a all-inclusive rate, you always have to sign a “bill” stating what you had. The entertainment can also be improved (both during the day and the evening artists/shows).

Beautiful beach with stunning sunsets
lovely big bedrooms
very friendly staff (thank you Ayvind for the PT sessions and to all gym staff for the enthusiastic aqua gym sessions)
lots of activities and great massages at the spa
great food - highly recommend the all inclusive
would be nice to have better quality orange juice and coffee at breakfast and more variety in the fish served at lunch and breakfast

Like all resorts in Mauritius they are well located and beaches cleaned up, rooms are comfy. the kids club was well organized and staff amazingly friendly and dedicated.
two things that stood out -
1. the lack of interesting activities. We are a very active family and got easily bored with pool, beach, food. while nautical activities like paddles were available, the other sports were non existant.
2. as a Mauritian I had a sub par service. While I don’t care much for a fruit juice when we check in, for a net of $800 per night for full board, I felt that the hotel should systematically offer a drink when we arrive and potentially a small snack. we even had to find the baggage service to pick up our luggage. the staff at the entrance (as we would get in and out, would question us as if we were burglars entering the property). I had to send my sister in law who is English to negotiate for my parents the ability to visit us and just say hi for 30min daily.
I left Mauritius 25 years ago, and I’m still surprised that Mauritians have a sub par treatment at hotels vs. Caucasian tourists. after having been colonized for so long, the locals should know better in today’s day and age that a customer is a customer independently of their race, color and creed.

The resort is quite big with a stunning white beach and crystal clear sea in front of it. The room was spacious, part of it was recently renovated while other bits were a bit old fashioned.
Overall lack of attention to details and needs of upgrading/maintenance. The structure felt a bit old, with obsolete furniture in the room, not too curated furniture on the balcony, crumbling beach umbrellas and chairs, broken equipments at the gym, etc.
The staff wasn’t generally that welcoming, felt like they were overwhelmed by the guests - apart for very limited exceptions like Mr Rishi at the reception and Ms Dayana at the Spa, both providing an outstanding service.
The food was average at the buffet and at the Horizon and La Casa restaurants, while at Maurice Beef it was slightly better.
At the beach there were peddler proposing garments or trips, a bit annoying if you want to relax.
We also saw mice and cockroaches around the resort - not very pleasant.
To conclude, we felt it was a bit overrated just because of the Beachcomber name but the service is not as good as we were expecting.

Beach and scenery are amazing
Sunsets from the bar and beach are unreal
Air con in the room was good
Fresh beach towels everyday
Room size was very good
Lots of watersports included in all inclusive although make sure to book in advance to avoid missing out
Shops in the resort selling snorkels, beach wear etc
Buffet was always well supplied, although times are quite restrictive
Can organise day trips at competitive rate through the hotel
TV in the rooms had decent movie channels
Really good WiFi - access all throughout the hotel, on the beach and even on the water skiing jetty.
Our room was on the wing closest to the service entrances, so every morning from 7:30am was very loud with beeping of reversing vans and deliveries.
Mould in the shower upon arrival
Mould on the outdoor beanbags
Room safe broke half way through the stay
Hair dryer in the room was broken upon arrival and took various calls to reception for replacement
Some of the furniture in the room and in public areas are a bit tired and could do with replacement (the table legs on our room desk were very wobbly)
Could be more to do in the evenings
Prices at the resort are high so would recommend all inclusive

Loved the location of ground floor room within walking distance to beach and restaurants and a sea view.
Needs upgrade of rooms.

great hotel and facilities, we stayed only two nights but it was great fun. There are activities for kids every hour, facility offers free snorkeling, they also provide equipment free of charge. Food is great, rooms are spacey. There was DJ performance one night during sun set, great experience.
This place has great potential but deserves better service. Waiters in the restaurant were not providing great service, not attentive to customer requests
