Mohammed worked day and night to ensure guests were well looked after and treated like family.

Lovely traditional Moroccan style providing a very authentic experience. Beautiful open space in the interior of the riad, with a lovely terrace

Bonito lugar con exquisita decoración.

Es un alojamiento muy bonito en el centro de la medina con un personal atento.

Nuestra habitación en la planta alta del riad tenía olor a humedad, tal vez por las cañerías del lavabo.

Perfetto

Dar Labchara è un gioiello nel centro della Medina. Un antico Riad con un cortile splendido. Posizione perfetta e staff molto gentile in grado di accogliere tutti i bisogni. Raccomandato!

Che bello!

La posizione è perfetta per visitare la medina a piedi, l'ingresso è un po' nascosto ma facile da trovare, e al vostro arrivo Mohamed il gestore vi darà il benvenuto :) è gentilissimo e sempre disponibile! Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, dotate di wi-fi. Abbondante e ottima colazione con prodotti freschi ogni mattina.

Non è possibile pagare con carta, solo contanti (accettano Euro e Dirham). In bagno c'era solo un sapone per le mani, nessun altro prodotto.

Enjoyable stay but could be much better

- the location was very strategic in the heart of Fes Medina - the aesthetic and the Riad itself was amazing - the breakfast was abundant. It was great and worth the money. - the room was large enough for us three with wide private bathroom.The bed was comfy and the AC was working well.

- the air in the room was smelly and little bit dusty. It seemed not really being cleaned before we checked in. We occupied the highest floor with low ceiling and the air circulation was not that great. Only 2 from 4 windows cpuld be opened. It was recommended just turned on the AC to keep the air circulation. We spent 3 nights there and our room was never being cleaned. The carpet was really dirty and need to be washed. - the stairs was so small and ceiling was low I was with my parents (elderly) and we were really exhausted to get into our room with all the luggages. We requested the lower floor but they said the only room for 3 person was on the highest floor (like 4th floor). It was not recommended if you are going with elderly people.

This is the best first experience in Fez/Morocco you could ask for! Will be back again!

Honestly, there isn't much more we could have asked for from Mohammed. He was the best host we could have imagined. So generous with his time, he personally took us to visit some local spots and set up a full day tour for us as well. Helped us validate what were good vs. bad prices when we went shopping. He arranged taxi transportation for us to/from the airport. Breakfast every morning was so nice. The location is just off one of the main streets, so it feels both safe and convenient. We found the beds to be quite comfortable, and the space itself was generous. The rooftop terrace was so peaceful and had some decent views. There was an AC unit with a controller in our room, but we didn't bother to use it since the temperature inside the Riad was so nice. We were also able to leave our bags safely inside on the day of check out while we explored one more time before leaving. Price is so worth the entire experience that Mohammed has created!

Nothing worth mentioning! We loved our stay and would not have changed anything!

It’s alright for the price!

The Dar is good value for the price they charge per night - the bed is comfortable and they offer a very nice breakfast. The owner was nice and always had a chat with us but we personally didn’t get the hype from all the other reviews.

The room had a foul smell, and as there is no window leading outside, it is hard to get any fresh air. Cleanliness, especially of the bathroom could be improved. The street the Dar is located on could be a little sketchy at night. Also, when we were leaving we were told we had to pay for the stay in cash, which we found inconvenient, as we think that if a place only accepts cash payments, they should let you know beforehand, so you are prepared with the right amount.

Lack of cleanliness

Good location in the heart of the medina, walking distance to all the main attractions. Nice decoration. Good typical moroccan breakfast.

Our room was not clean during our stay, even not towels change. Lack of cleanliness in common areas and in the room, a lot of dust and everything smells closed. The rooftop terrace looks abandoned. In the room you can hear every noise from commun area and other rooms. The staff was not too friendly as in other riads. They did not know what we had reserved, nor the price, although the reservation was made 2 months ago. They made us wait 30 minutes despite arriving in the evening.

Very good

The hotel was hidden in the streets of medina but we found it quite easily. The breakfast was amazing and staff very attentive. Our room was very big and quiet.

There was no warm water and the room was little cold in February.

Too Short, Must come back!

Mohammad organised evening for us, he booked the taxi and picked us up to walk us to the accommodation. He looked after us very well and his accommodation is beautiful, very clean, great facilities and very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and the location of the property is fantastic. Even when we were not staying with him he offers to help and is more than a host but now a good friend. Quiet accommodation, comfortable beds - a little hard but plenty of blankets and sheets to use if you need. Refreshments available all the time too. We hope to stay again next time we visit Fez. We definitely recommend this property!

There is nothing we didn’t like. Everything was fantastic.

Very good

The top was the excellent attention from Mohammed who is available at any time. The structure is very beautiful inside, rooms are simple but cared and breakfast is very complete with local bread. Position of the structure is nearby blue gate and main attractions of the Medina.

The Riad offers a good breakfast, has a good location, traditional Moroccan decor. But the main thing is the service and in particular Mr Mohammed he is an incredible host, friendly, available and was always concerned with providing us with the best of Fes and the Riad. He deserves npta 10.

Highly recommended

The location is in the center of Medina, near the Blue gate and in one of the main streets, easy to find. The Riad is beautiful and the room was clean, big and comfortable. But the best part of our staying was definitely Mohammed! He is super kind and helpful, welcomed us with a big smile and helped us booking trips, booking a car from the airport, finding good restaurants... He took care of everything!

Good central stay but...

Comfortable bed, nice location

The bathroom looked a bit dirty and there was a funny smell. We felt not comfortable with the hygiene, but maybe it was our perception as it was old and dark. Breakfast was ok, could be less but of better quality. Price vs quality was not ok comparing with other accomodations I stayed.
