Good location and the bar is awesome, although a bit expensive
Lots of long term residents, the kitchen is so dirty and small it's unusable, the showers and toilets are connected to the dorm and you wake up if someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night

My Son's stuff was search through in a shared form dorm. He was then stitched up with complaints, so he couldn't get another backpacker room (they call each other) and ended up on the street the following evening.

No power point on my bunk

Nice place for the money, close to the center. Stuff is accommodating. Was perfect for our 1 night stay.
The lights from the street come into the room through jalousie.

the heater was not working, the sheets (the bottom one) was rough.

I had a nice stay at the Prince Albert in a shared 4-bed room. The common areas were very comfortable and clean and it was a good environment all around, with nice people to talk to. The wifi worked great everywhere. Having heaters in each room made the nights very comfortable and the showers were high pressure and had nice hot water. The carpark is quite spacious and very accessible from the rooms. The hostel is super close to the city centre, so it's great if you want to explore Nelson by foot!
The kitchen area was occasionally dirty, especially the sinks. This is not the hostel's fault (they actually did a very good job of cleaning everything come the morning), but I thought it worth noting. My card to enter the room stopped working at around 9 pm on my last night, which was inconvenient since I could only get in the room if someone was there to let me in.

Staff were lovely. Beautiful sunny room
No suggestions as there was nothing we didn't like

Great location, friendly staff. nice clean cosy room.
Other guests would leave the kitchen really untidy, not nice making your morning coffee with such a mess.

The room was cosy with a private bathroom in a 4 bed mixed room. The outside area was nice. There was the additional bonus of having a bar/ food area attached.

Nice place to stay and decent value for money. Quiet at night which was great. There's a really lovely cafe downstairs which is a good place to get a coffee and relax. The rooms are plenty spacious and with high ceilings. Easy check in. Free parking
The communal kitchen is quite small and cluttered, but they have to work with the space they have! We didn't really find a time to cook in there as it was always taken by other guests. Totally fine if you have a bit of extra time to wait your turn though!

Room super comfy and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful and location is great. Definitely I'll come back.
The only negative thing is the Wi-Fi, I ever couldn't connect.

Very friendly staff, good facilities, pretty clean
A little far out of the centre (not that far really but a fair walk with heavy bags)

Super friendly staff, great shared facilities, plenty of car parking. The setup is great.
If I could have one suggestion, it would be to have a multi-plug next to the bed side, it was a bit of a pain to unplug the lamps so we could charge our phones.
