A very nice place. Quiet and peaceful. Home atmosphere. Typical breakfast. Very helpful and nice host. I recommended it:)

I booked two rooms with short notice. When I arrived it was a single room for 4 persons. Perhaps I was in too much of a hurry when making the booking. As a single room was not acceptable to me, I canceled the stay on site. I expected some kind of refund, but the owner meant that I would have needed to cancel the booking 5 days earlier (before the booking was made). I therefore paid in full for something that was not used and only booked for 30 minutes (possibly preventing someone to book during that time). In my opinion, such inflexibility is not good service.

It is a very small pension in a private house close to the town centre of Aakirkeby with all pro and contra of staying in an old house with some retro style. I was satisfied with this experience, though it is important to understand nuances: there is no soundproof, but with 3 rooms only it is not a big issue. Room was quite spacious. There are coffee/tea making facilities, which seem to be standard in all accommodations in Denmark. Communication with the owner was easy, checkin and checkout were fast and easy, no stress. The owner indeed stays with you at the breakfast in the kitchen room. I enjoyed the conversation and took a chance to know more about the island from the islander but for introverts it might be not too good.

Internet didn’t reach my room. Any other nuances are explained by low price. Not sure if other reviewers noticed the price difference. I had no high expectations and enjoyed my stay.

A lovely house, cozy and comfortable! Beautiful view of the church and a very warm welcoming from the host. We had a great stay here!

The house is in a quiet area but close to the city centre. Ole was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. I can higly recommend.

Ole is an exceptional host. Right away we felt like we were staying with family, rather than in paid accommodation. He has a wealth of information that made this trip great for us!
