Nice room but meal package is meh😕

Comfortable room, staff well explain the recreation area, shuttle service from Alishan bus station

Meal package, should just book the room without meal package. I have booked room with meal package (breakfast and dinner). Breakfast is normal but dinner package is costly and partner restaurant food taste is quite disappointed.

Old/Mouldy Hotel, Only Location is Good. Needs Serious Restoration

Convenient location next to the Alishan train station.

Hotel is very old and outdated. The room was very small and not properly cleaned, especially the bathroom was full of dead flies. If you have a shower, the condensation stays there which makes mould appear (the bathroom was full of). The price is very high for the service you get. I cannot recommend staying there.

Overall a pretty decent hotel for a short one night stay at alishan check out the stargazing tour!

Staff was very friendly & detailed in introducing alishan & their hotel’s own program Stargazing tour was great, guide was really knowledgable about stars & taught us how to take picture of the night sky with our phones Every floor there is a water dispenser for hot & cold which is great Room is not the biggest but was okay Heater was on when temperature is below 10’C

Toilet is a bit old No option to on heater as and when we liked The last step of each floor’s stairs when climbing up is higher than the rest of the steps, easy for people to trip, would be good if there was a warning Kettle in my room smelt weird and water tasted weird when drinking from it

Location was fine. Check in was easy, they spoke English. Breakfast included.

地點位置佳，櫃台人員服務態度佳，環境乾淨，沒有霉味.

四人房空間偏小，房內二張低矮的大木椅應該更換正常高度的座椅，要不就移除，因為太佔空間.

The place is nice but sunrise package is not

Everything is nice. But the extra package provided by hotel should be explained more properly. For example i was excited to join the sunrise package since you offered extra point of attractions compared to the one by the train. However, not only the place to watch the sunrise were a bit crowded, the driver went to see the sacred tree first then only to sunrise viewing spot. I know not all driver can speak english but still a little effort to communicate is appreciated. We waited for one hour since we thought after breakfast we will go to another check point but end up we wait for nothing. I don’t even sure if the tour ended because the driver just told us the car will be waiting at the same place, but after 1 hour and 5 mins he didn’t come so we just go back. Honestly it is a waste of our money.

Wouldn’t be passing if it weren’t for its location

There isn’t much choice if you want to stay inside Alishan and I must say that I don’t regret this choice because visiting the park before the crowds arrived was amazing. Also, the other hotels inside the park didn’t seem any better. I must also say that breakfast was pretty good and having to walk to a completely different building wasn’t too much of an issue. For sure I would have thought differently if it had been raining or freezing cold.

The room is tiny and expensive. The bathroom was full of hair (not ours). Everything was mouldy or old or ruined. We had to pay for an extra blanket and they only have hot water for showers from 5pm to 9am. They take advantage of the fact that you have little or no choice if you want to stay inside the park and put no care in the maintenance of the building.

Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im NP ideal.

Top Lage sehr zentral gelegen. Parkplätze vorhanden. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Hotel ist als Ausganspunkt für den Natiobalpark unserer Meinung mach bei kurzem Aufenrhalt ideal geeignet. Wer sich in den Zimmern aufhalten und Zeit verbringen möchte sowie Komfort sucht sollte nicht hier übernachten. Wer ein gutes Bett baucht und unter Tags im Park ist, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Der Preis wiederspiegelt das Angebot nicht, das liegt aber nicht primär am Hotel selbst sondern am beschränkten Wettbewerb und der Lage. Sie bezahlen die Lage. Um zum Hotel zu kommen zahlen Sie zusätzlich die Eintritte für den Nationalpark und ev. für das Fahrzeug. Warm Wasser ist von abends 7pm bis morgens 9 Uhr verfügbar. Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr einfach und alt. Feuchtigkeit ist ein Problem, Isolation auch. Es wird nachts kühl. Die Zimmer (unser Zimmer) war relativ klein. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmässig.

Met expectations for a short stay. Just go to bed early like everyone else.

It was in a location within the park. Staff were relatively helpful. Did I mention location? I think that's it. Oh I forgot, there's free area to top up water.

Place needs some serious refurbishing. Style and general decor rather dated. Rooms are on the smaller end, bathroom styling dated, but worked as intended. WiFi was not good during peak hrs, while also wasn't able to get any cellphone reception in the room.

Can stay for one night but not more.

Location is good.

The bathroom floor was slippery and I slipped and fell. No lift and need to carry the luggage up to the 3rd floor. Room is very small.

Experience true Taiwanese hospitality at it's finest

Exceptional hospitality from service staff, they offer packages for sunset viewing, stargazing, and sunrise viewing. As we did not manage to view the sunset and stars due to the very cloudy conditions, we were refunded the full amount. The service staff was also very engaging and helped us to take photos, offer tips for food places and much more! Truly exceptional service and we absolutely enjoyed our 1 night stay with no hiccups at all. For such good quality service at the price point we felt that it was truly excellent!

It was a very unpleasant one night stay in a double bed room

The room is very old and dirty. it's smaller than what I saw from the picture. The bathroom is awful with lots of cracks on the wall. The wall and the floor were not cleaned. Worst of all, there were very bad odor coming from the pipe and the toilet that we could not stay in the bathroom for more than 2 mins. The bedsheets and duet covers had stains and looked like they never got changed. Candy wraps were on the floor by the bed. we reported this to the front desk but they didn't attempt to do anything to fix it.

Great value for money, lovely service staff and memorable tours offered.

What stood out about this hotel is the tour services they provided for sunrise, sunset, stargazing as well as firefly watching. We did the first 3 and they were very planned managed/planned. The stargazing tour was my personal favourite - don't miss this. Would come back to stay with Chinshan Villa! The staff were very polite, attentive and knowledgable. Buffet breakfast was also provided in a restaurant in the main square.

The rooms were a little tiny, but cosy. Water heater for showers only available after 5.30pm - but this was acceptable considering the location of the hotel.

Friendly staff but unclean rooms

Staff was accommodating when it came to check in. Staff was also very helpful when telling us how to get around town and viewing the sunrise.

The room isn't clean. Dirt, water, and hair on the floor and mold in the bathroom. Some bugs.

CP值高的阿里山住宿

乾淨整潔，窗外風景佳，位置方便，步行可至遊客中心轉乘遊園車或至阿里山火車站搭小火車，且有阿里山轉運站的來回接送。另外是，別館的咖啡好喝，有種愜意感~

店內環境很好，某位店員態度有待改善！

位置很方便，晚上休息時間也很安靜，房間很乾淨。

早起看日出時房間鑰匙歸還到前台，下山後才早上九點。因為在店內短暫休息躺在了門口的椅子上，店員跟我講這樣的行為會影響他們店的其他客人。下山回來後借用了手機充電插座，走得時候請其他店員幫忙拔下手機，原本幫忙充電的店員質疑我們是不是自己走進櫃檯內拔掉了手機。以上行為讓人感到很不舒服，被冒犯到！

房間狹小，只和兩人房差不多，完全不推薦

標準4人房房號311和網站照片不同，兩張雙人床並排而沒有走道，上下床非常不方便，說是四人房，但根本不適合住四個成人，房間的大小只和兩人房差不多。千萬別在這家訂標準四人房了。

Good choice for 1 or 2 nights in Alishan park

The hotel is located near the Alishan train station. The staff is very nice and explains everything very patiently. The room is good enough for 1 or 2 nights in the park. Bed is comfy. They offer different tours, if a tour is cancelled due to weather condition the fare will be refunded.

Very good

The lady at reception was wonderful and really helpful even with her limited english. The location couldn't be better, lots of amenities provided in the room.

The hotel in general is old... but everything was functional.

Would try other hotel next time.

Location is relatively convenient. But the staff spend 5-10 minutes setting other excursions but never tell how to use the stairs outside the hotel to go to the stores and bus stops.

No A/C in rooms. Cheap and not secured toilet seat, you can have actual contact while sitting on it which make each usage very unpleasant.

The experienced frontdesk could provide great advice to explored Alishan. location is really great!

The location is really great. And it provide alternative tour for sunset, stargazing, sunrise . There were some little souvanir could be found at the frontdesk(coffee, tea bag from Alishan) and could help to mail the postcard.

Had a comfortable stay in this charming mountain hotel.

Given there are some older not so great reviews on this property, I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised - it's a really comfortable, clean and charming hotel in a lovely location, there's a stone stairway at the side of the building taking you all the way to the Alishan translation via some restaurants and convenience stores. Rooms were spacious - we had a twin with double beds and a cute little seating area. There was no heating at this time of year, but it wasn't needed.

In advance of arriving we got messages saying that because we'd booked a room without breakfast ('preferential price') we couldn't pay by credit card - but when we arrived the lady at reception allowed us to use a card. It was actually a bit confusing whether breakfast was included or not - if we booked without breakfast it wasn't intentional - but the messages had the effect of making us feel a bit cheap (and we are still unsure what the actual issue was). In addition the room dehumidifier was the noisiest I've ever come across.

Nice location but be careful of the scam

Well located inside the Alishan complex, near the train station and bus station.

The staff proposed us a "beautiful" sunrise place to check, they say a private bus will take us to the place for NT$ 600 per person at 4am. We didn't even see the sun from the place we went... and it was outside the complex we could have gone by ourselves by car... to pay for attraction that we could have gone by ourselves for free, it's just simply a scam. Do not take the attraction from the hotel staff, just go the tourist bureau and do all activities by yourself.

Beware, hotel is outdated and there were hygiene issues

The Hotel has a good location and parking was available directly in front of the hotel. WiFi was fast.

The Hotel‘s hygienic situation is not great, our room had a strong moldy smell. The rooms, especially the bathroom are very outdated. The hotel room is in urgent need of a renovation and update to today‘s standards. The room was not in an acceptable condition, with visible mold and dust. The hotel is at a remote location, some roads leading up to the mountain will be closed over night. Before our stay we called the Hotel for information on this. The hotel staff was not able to provide proper information. The personale on site was rather unfriendly and only focused on upwelling. Overall we can’t recommend staying in this hotel.

Good location, some tour options offered by the hotel, very nice, local shower gel/shampoo
