Great location and friendly staff
Small room but this may be normal for Tokyo

room was clean, location really good, staff friendly. Snoopy cutlery set for kids was nice.
something to hang washed clothes on would have been good. A frying pan also would have been nice.

We really like to stay in Yutenji - a quiet suburb of Tokyo - just a couple of stops from Shibuya. We found some very interesting cafes and restaurants including a whole food one and a ‘French’ one - PedibuThe room provided options for some self catering with an induction hot plate, sink, fridge and some crockery and utensils. There are supermarkets near the station 5 minutes walk away.
We had a small room with a balcony.
The staff were very helpful, always obliging and willing to help as we needed - (safe locking us out, washing machine impossible to work intuitively , a blanket instead of the duvet which we used on top of the hard mattress).
The hotel has a housekeeping on demand system . It wasn’t very satisfactory though the staff were very willing to provide new towels etc when asked.
We found the in-room washing/drying machine impossible to use. The directions were in Japanese and the hotel staff didn’t seem to know how to use it either. We ended up with very wet clothes and very few places to dry them.

The hotel is well located in a friendly, residential neighbourhood a mere 20 minutes by train from Shibuya station. The rooms have a very comfortable bed, windows that can be opened, a washer/dryer, and a kitchenette. On the upper floors there even is a view.
The hotel is older, the bathrooms appear to be from the 70s, which in itself would not be an issue if it had been kept up well. However, the rooms were dirty. I write "rooms" because I asked to change mine after I assumed I had been assigned one that had somehow escaped the scrutiny of the hotel. However, the second room was only marginally cleaner, so unfortunately one must assume that the cleanliness standard here is generally low. For example: the carpets are very stained, sometimes with what appears to be food caked into them, it's dusty, there is hair to be found all over, but especially on the shower curtain, the dishes in the cupboard aren't clean...

It is very close to the train stop. The best part is that the surrounding is very quiet (unlike Gakugei Daigaku station which is the next train stop.)
It is almost impossible to have a light meal using the facility. Hotel gives you one plate per room. Although it’s nice that they provide free coffee with a coffee machine, they only remove the cover of the machine at 7:00am. It’d have been better if they can offer the coffee earlier (6:30am maybe?).

The Yutenji neighborhood is so quaint and stylish and is perfectly situated near the Nakameguro/Daikanyama area. It is also a short ride metro away from Shibuya. The hotel is clean and the staff is very nice and helpful.
The rooms are a little on the small side, though expected of hotels in Tokyo.

Close to Yutenji Station on the Tokyu Line, the location was convenient to both Naka-Meguro and Jiyugaoka. The extra features in the room, such as the kitchenette with IH stovetop/refrigerator/cookware/dishes, and clothes washer/dryer were great for our 5-night stay. Complementary coffee downstairs in the lobby was nice to have in the morning. The overall amenities provided by the hotel were fine.
The sleepy town of Yutenji has a combination of charming older and newer businesses and of course, Yutenji Temple. There is a very well-stocked supermarket at Yutenji Station, less than a 5-minute walk away. We had a wonderful French dinner at nearby "Clementine bis" and an exceptional sushi omakase course at "Sushi Onikai" in Kamimeguro, a 1km, 15-minute walk from the hotel, or a shorter stroll from Naka-Meguro Station.
The overall appearance and feel of the property was not very welcoming. An older gentleman at the front desk set the tone upon check-in with his very business-like and somewhat curt and impatient manner.
Some of the kitchenette appliances were dated. The bathroom was acceptable, but not spotless. Room service was not up to par, the staff forgetting things on some days. Most of all, this property would benefit greatly from changing the carpets in the rooms, which were very dirty in both of the rooms I booked for my family
Too bad there aren't more lodging options in Naka-Meguro, Yutenji, and Jiyugaoka.

Very convenient location, handy to have a washing machine and kitchenette with a fridge and microwave in the room
The shower has good pressure, complementary shampoo and conditioner are actually good quality. And complimentary fresh grinded coffee is worth trying. We always stay here.

covid measures are stupid! no toilet paper change within 3 days!

Very convenient location.
We weren’t able to get any cellphone service in the room or in the corridor, so I had to go outside the building every time I had to make calls - which was really inconvenient. I wished the room was a little cleaner…
