Elegant, central and a little bit fancy. I stayed in the Yalumba room with a wonderful king size bed, great view and a luxurious bath.
Nothing. It was an impeccable 18 hours

Location was excellent, parking was a little tight but good to have. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Liked the idea of a eco clean and free drink in bar.
Bathroom could always do with a good polish around taps a bit brown, not unclean but could be better. Lighting in bedroom poor when getting wedding ready!

Everything offers in the hotel.
The toilet but I know that it's quite a traditional one. There was a false alarm while we stayed there. Though it was a false alarm, we need some explanation to ease all the worries especially for our frightened daughter who was crying at the incident. We were left sitting in the lobby for quite a while without any updated situation till we had to ask the receptionist whether it's okay to go up to the room? As the incident occurred right after we checked in that evening, we expected to have our 4-year-old daughter and an elderly mom taken a rest as soon as possible. Anyway, the receptionist was nice and very helpful at the time we checked in.

Good location and friendly staff
The hotel is tired and the rooms are in need of an update. The bathroom bench and toilet seat were old and worn , the cistern flush didn’t work well and the ceiling was dirty. Not what one would expect at £300 per night.

Breakfast was excellent , due to covid no buffet but table service very good. Room was good size, fantastic bath and shower.
Location excellent for town local restaurants and walks along the river.
Will definitely go back
bathroom could have been cleaner ( around the toilet area)

Location
I was surprised we had to pay extra to extend checkout by 1 hour. We will be staying in Henley-on-Thames fairly frequently over the next few years but will try somewhere else.

The room was amazing
Great location
Evening meal selection was quite limited
Reception staff were great, at times the restaurant staff could have been a tiny bit more attentive

Great location, large stylish room with comfortable bed and high quality linen.
The bathroom was smelly and had a drain problem; there were no chairs in the large bedroom other than one at the desk; the restaurant had three unavailable dishes from what is a standard menu and one of those was part of an offer the hotel promotes.

The staff, receptionist in particular, could not have been more helpful in moving us to a more suitable room. The bed was comfortable. The courtyard and dining room are attractive spaces. The location is very good.
The rooms are dreary rather than minimalist. The furniture is not good quality and is scuffed. The lavatory in our room was not at all clean.

Good location for a wedding we were attending, room was nice and comfortable
After being checked in we went to our room, only to find another couple were already in our room
Reception did manage to give us another room however being heavily pregnant and all the stairs (no lift) it wasn't ideal going back and forth!

Check in was fine and fairly efficient.
Breakfast was good.
The room was dark and quite dingy although it was quiet as I asked.
The toilet was disgusting....brown stuff on inside base that looked like it needed a really good scrub and disinfecting.
A bottle of water in the room would have been nice.
There were spiders. I woke up with a small one on my arm.

Breakfast was very good especially the English breakfast and all cooked perfectly.
Difficult getting into the shower as bath was very high and no handle. My husband found it difficult so I didn’t bother, having mobility problem.

Lovely room, clean, luxury toiletries, good selection of teas and coffee in the room. Biscuits provided and an added bonus of chocolates on arrival. The location for Henley is excellent and there is plenty on offer for dining out and having a drink.
Very good breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold food.
Lovely fluffy towels in the bathroom which is always a bonus.
I cannot think of anything negative.

great building, best location and fantastic breakfast.
room not exceptionally clean and didn’t like not being in the hotel. had a room in the courtyard, not as luxurious for the price. car park was very tight.

room was lovely and quiet, as requested, decorated nicely, with a good mattress and good amount of space. location is superb.
at this price point, expectations are higher and the room was off in a few areas;
1) Lighting. dreadful…no lit area in either the bedroom or the bathroom bright enough to do makeup.
2) Finish - exposed paint and plaster from light switch replacements, sloppy plasterwork on some covering up, bath plug chains screwed into tiles with a Phillips screw, wardrobe light switches that don’t work ( had to take the bulb out to switch it off), leaky bath tap…just not care / attention to detail
3) Definitely felt understaffed. used the bar 4 times in our stay and had to find someone to serve every time.

Good central location
Parking is currently not in use. Bedroom was so noisy, could hear people in the bar until very late. Strange layout to room with bathroom up an entire set of stairs.

Excellent breakfast, and very helpful staff.
Very high charge for parking car, and long wait for it to be returned to us after booking a time.

location and bistro
No plugs by the side of the bed.
No plugs by mirrors.
Sofa uncomfortable.
batteries not working in remotes.
Hearing on way too hot, bedroom was boiling.
slippers too small for men.
No access to water where coffee machine is downstairs.
No tv where bath tubs are.
all in all lots of little things that made it annoying and made you have to constantly walk around looking for plugs or water for coffee machine etc.
wouldn’t stay in that room again. was disappointed as was for a special occasion and would have slept better in premier inn.

We only had breakfast on one occasion as we were made to feel unwelcome by the breakfast manager.
We had not booked it but were told on check in it was just a matter of going to the breakfast room and having it Ann it would be added to the bill which was fine. The manager made a big dramatic scene of looking for our name and said “You VILL have to pay for it in a strong German accent” we were told to sit at any table and she walked off. When she then came to take our order I asked for 1 Tea and 1 coffee - she said you need to help yourself in an annoyed way! Made to feel like 2nd class citizens as other next to us weee as well. My kippers ere nearly raw and our neighbours said their breakfast was cold and it looked uncooked!
Breakfast was shocking and our room was not refreshed despite us being out from 09.30 till 15.45 and we were told we were next! I explained we weee going to have a lie down to relax and the room would be available again at 18.00 and the head housekeeper said she would do it here self. When we returned at 20.00 it had not been done. No loo roll, damp towels and no tissues left.
