There was nothing to dislike

The Chateau is beautiful and set in lovely gardens. Our suite of rooms was large and spacious with a modern kitchen and antique bathroom which we liked but might not suit everyone as it didn't have an independent shower. There was a large sitting room with two sofas and a dining table. The bed was comfortable with lovely crisp white bed linen. Outside there was a swimming pool and a table tennis set up for the visitors, plus a play area for younger children. The owners were charming and very guest focused. Nothing was too much trouble. It is perfectly situated for visiting Villandry and Tours. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

We quite like a shower which wasn't available in the suite we were in.

This is my second time staying at the Chateau. It is a beautiful property, an historical home with classic French details and decor and magnificent gardens. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. It feels like a magical oasis. And is very close to Loire Valley destinations such as Chateau de Villandry and Azay le Rideau. The kitchen was perfectly set up and the apartment was warm and welcoming. I love the bathrooms here, old world, deep tubs and antique fixtures.

authentic place, very quiet. helpful and friendly owners. kitchen is well equipped and clean. spacious appartment, large bathroom. good matrasses :-)

might be considered to change the shower system. there is a shower head in the bathtub but it would be nice to have some cabin / curtain and a small hook or something to latch the shower head onto while in use.

The owner's hospitality and professionalism are exceptional and the environment of this chateau is just amazing!! An overwhelming experience at every single aspect, especially the joy one can experience solely watching the beautiful balance of nature there...

Parking was very easy, on the large driveway in front of the house. Nice old building,in good repair, in lovely large grounds. Rooms were very large, so the whole apartment was very spacious. Not luxurious, although furnishings were in keeping with the age of the house, but good enough. We had a bedroom each, and also a bathroom each. The location, just south of the river Loire, near Tours, was very good for touring, as verything along the Loire we wanted to see or do was on that side of the river.

Apartment was on 2nd floor, with no lift, so a heavy climb to get up to it, with luggage especially. One of the two bedrooms available to us, although very large, doubled as a lounge, but only had two chairs, so no comfortable settee for lounging, and inappropriate as a lounge if wanting to use it as a private bedroom. However, the worst thing by far, was the flow of hot water into the bath, which was pathetic. Just a tiny dribble. This made the bath unusable. There was a hand shower attachment, but no wall fitting to hang it on to use as a proper shower. The water flow through the shower was poor, but just about enabled me to wash, but very awkwardly as I had to hold the shower handle. I showed the owner a video of the pathetic flow of hot water into the bath, but their English was almost non-existent, and nothing was done to improve it. This really spoiled our 8 day stay there. They have to modernise the hot water system and have a proper shower fitment over the bath. This applied to both bathrooms. The heating was totally inadequate for the size of the rooms. In other words, they need to modernise the facilities to make the apartment useable. We paid quite a lot of money, and really expected more. I understand this is an old building, but if renting it out as apartments in this modern age, it really needs a lot of work to bring it up to a modern standard that you would expect from a converted old "chateau".

The apartment was perfectly appointed for a stay of a few days with the amenities needed. Good wifi. Beautiful house and environment, very friendly and welcoming hostess. We would gladly have stayed there much longer.
