Adriatic.hr appear to be doing what all the hotels and apartments in Mali Losinj are doing, and gouging visitors as much as possible. Therefore I'm quite happy that we only lost €50 on the ferry tickets, as I expect restaurants and other businesses in Mali Losinj would also have had the same attitude, and the entire 3 day visit would have been a great disappointment.

I received email and in app notification that my booking was confirmed. The booking was non refundable and 50% was to be deducted at the moment of reservation. On Friday I received an automated message from Adriatic.hr that I need to transfer 50% payment to their bank account. On Saturday I responded to the message querying this, as it was my understanding that the payment is automatically deducted from the credit card I have on file with booking.com No response was received, so we called Adriatic.hr on Sunday. They informed us that our reservation was cancelled. Quite disappointed with the service from Adriatic.hr on a number of points. 1. Bank transfers don't process during the weekend, so they were never going to receive money in their account within two days of booking. 2. Adriatic.hr attempt to have customers pay outside of the booking.com platform, which is very inconvenient and unsafe for customers. Additionally it is unclear and confusing. 3. Adriatic.hr did not call me to clarify their unique process before cancelling my booking. 4. If I hadn't called them, then I would have arrived on the island to a very unfortunate surprise. Given the extreme costs on Mali Losinj at this time, the only available rooms were approx. €500 per night. Therefore I would advise all customers to avoid Adriatic.hr apartments, as well as Mali Losinj, as the entire island seems to have a "rinse them and milk them" attitude to visitors. Plenty of other islands and coastal towns with better value and facilities.
