A hiden eden garden & great value for money!

Quality and quiet place to be with great value for money. Very kind and helpful stuff that made you feel at home. Really good breakfast very quality and great variety. They offers us a free upgrade to a room with lake view with a big balcony. The stuff and the pool area makes the difference! Well done!

Some of the facilities could use a renovation.

a little bit disappointed comparing with the 1st time

location and view

paint smell filling of the room and light in the bathroom is too bright there is no coffee machine in the room and we had to call service center to bring hot water for the tea drink

Very pleasant stay

Rooms: rooms are spacious and comfortable. Location: the Hotel location is simply amazing. The view from the balcony and from the restaurant is stunning. Just worth the stay. Breakfast: good. Dinner. the restaurant, the Chef and the personnel is top.

Beautiful Views, Pool, Excellent Front Desk Service - A great stay

Lovely pool, good breakfast, great front desk staff. The rooms are spartan but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The front desk staff made reservations for us at restaurants in town at our request before we arrived. It was very helpful.

I think the wait staff could have been more friendly. We were never greeted or offered a coffee both mornings/at breakfast. We got our own coffee, but there was also cappuccino, etc and the staff never approached us to offer or came to our table either day.

A delightful stay at a beautiful hotel!

The breakfast was excellent with lots of options! It was lovely to eat on the balcony and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We’re used to a higher bed so the beds felt a little low but the linens were wonderful.

Lacking a heartbeat

as this was the Low season it’s difficult to really give a fair assessment of the total hotel as many facilities not in use pool etc it’s a very chic hotel situated high above Ascona with a great view of the lake large clean room with a large bathroom with separate shower and bath Room has an excellent terrace and would be superb in the summer

it’s hard to be really critical of what is an up market hotel but we were to be honest a bit underwhelmed whilst the location is good for the view what you don’t realise is that it is not easy to get too without a car unless you are very fit and it’s not raining you need to get a taxi back to the hotel from down in Ascona if at dinner etc extra 💲💲💲 we had a real problemwith the noise from extractor fan in our bathroom and despite asking it was never fixed No facilities to make tea/coffee in the room😡 wifi weak😪 pillows terrible Overall it just seemed that the hotel lack a vibrant heartbeat

All in all nice, but don't book the north-facing rooms

Nice location, nice pool, bar and restaurant. Really nice south-facing rooms with nice view.

The rooms on the north side are way overdue for renevation. They do not live up to what supposedly is a 4 start hotel. As an example the carpets in these rooms are old and somewhat filthy. Also the rooms look out to wall that's only maybe 3m away from the window. Why not have some greenery grow down from the top to cover the wall surface? Or paint something onto that ugly wall? I wouldn't recommend anyone to book a room on the north side even though they are much cheaper. As for the staff they were mostly truly great. At reception one of the receptionist was consistently unfriendly and not helpful. We overheard other guests having the same experience. On the other hand the other receptionist was really great.
