Gutes Flughafenhotel mit sehr schönen Pool

Hotel in Flughafennähe, was bei einer frühen Abreise sehr praktisch war. Der Pool war schön groß und uneingeschränkt benutzbar. Sehr nette Bedienung im Restaurant.

Das Hotel liegt etwas versteckt und war nicht einfach zu finden. Abendessen und Frühstück waren gut, aber nicht herausragend.

Noisy but convienient

Convenient location to the airport

Walls were thin and it was very noisy in the room - I was woken up multiple times in the morning (from 4am onwards) with people checking out of their rooms, slamming doors and talking loudly in the corridor. Also, the pool area was still under renovation. The rooms in the basement/lower ground smelt a bit damp.

Perfect location for the airport

The hotel is very well appointed with good facilities including a swimming pool. It is located only 10 minutes from the airport and the transfer to/from the airport is complementary. Reception and bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is of good quality and they have great coffee.

Amazing location of the hotel! You are lost in nature, and do not realise you are within 10 mins from Thessaloniki! Great staff, and general experience.

Good value for money.

Close to airport. Free shuttle. They were also happy to take me to the car rental office in the morning. Responsive team, short check in. Nice and rich breakfast.

Breakfast is good but coffee is terrible. I recommend to offer the guests a "real" coffee from the bar - one cup per guest per breakfast should be enough.

Comfortable nice airport hotel

I was in Avalon Hotel for a 2-night business stay. The reception is extremly nice and helpful. There is a free shuttle that can be booked to every location needed. Room is clean and comfortable.

A one night stay before heading to the airport. Staff and services did not disappoint. Will go again

Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. Very good service, friendly staff. The room was quiet. Transport to the airport was on time and the driver very friendly. All staff were very friendly towards my children and me.

The cushions on the bed. So hard and high, like sleeping on a brick. Please also have a couple of softer/thinner cushions for guests who prefer those.

I liked that they offer free shuttle to and from Thessaloniki airport Also that the front desk is 24/7 and they were nice

Waiter at the kitchen was slow and looked like she couldn't bother. Hotel was clean, but you can see it is getting tired... Location was out in nowhere, but there is now a small supermarkedet 10 min away on foot

Nice place, good for travelers that need to be closed to the airport.

The breakfast was delicious, the hotel had shuttle service but we didn’t used it.

Disappointing

Some staff were friendly. The breakfast was good and the free shuttle out of the hotel and the friendly driver.

The hotel door lock was unsafe and could have easily been accessed (the locking system was warped). We took pictures of this as we were shocked. When we pointed out to staff they remarked that it was normal. The hotel stated that the pool was closed due to adverse weather conditions (they had only put a blue rope next to it and no clear signage to say it was closed). The storm was the previous day and the weather was calm and sunny. We were then told a different story that it was closed because no lifeguard was on duty. This was disappointing not only for us but families with children who had also only booked this hotel as it had a pool. We enjoyed how friendly Greece is and visited many other hotels and villas during our stay which we rated all exceptional. The shower and facilities were passable but this should not be rated a 4 star boutique hotel. We booked a standard room with balcony which we got. The view was a motorway and car hire company. Not the hotels fault but the area was plagued by mosquitos and many children were savaged by them (you could see them everywhere). If you have an early flight this hotel is OK but I would advise to arrive late the evening before and spend your last night in more pleasurable conditions. This was the only hotel that did not meet expectations and the only one we would not return to.

Superb

Second time staying at Avalon. It's perfect after arriving on a late night flight at SKG. Free shuttle to and from the airport, we took it back the next morning to collect our rental car. Really nice breakfast included in the rate. Great value for money. Nice comfortable bed. Nice clean well maintained hotel with a swimming pool.
