The receptionist was great. She helped us book a day of horseback Riding and it was perfect! The housekeeping seem to know when we left and came to clean while we out without any additional prompting.(one day we were only gone 3 hours). The view was of the arneal volcano. No words for waking up and see such a sight!! Anytime walking through the property. Birds could be spotted enjoying the beautiful landscape of flowers and fruit trees!
Our room/villa was in the back (324). The Wi-Fi was not good. We often had to go to the bar or up front to get better service. If you need wifi request a closer room
to the central area.

Lugar relajante, silencioso con una excelente ubicación y paisaje impresionante
La comida del restaurante es apenas de regular calidad y sabor

The interaction with Luis your poolside bartender was excellent. He made the entire time we were there very enjoyable. Gave us some historical information about the volcano . Suggestion on places to see , but overall was a pleasure spending that time with him.
The beds and the pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Bed linen was old and dingy.

The beautiful flowers and location. Our view of the Arenal Volcano was fantastic.
Screaming children at a pool bar. Super cheap furniture. Lights didn't work, wifi cut in and out every 20 seconds. Dinner was awful. Drinks weren't made by a proper bartender. Windows not sealed allowing bugs and fun insects to crawl in. ZERO bell hop service. A random private pool on front of the entrance that wasn't warm or private.

Everything needs updating, rooms are bright yellow and felt like I was in the Flintstones. the grounds however are lovely and the hotel has a lot of potential if it is modernised

the location
There was poop shooting out of the jacuzzi outside the room. Four people stayed in our family room, but they only ever gave us three towels. Key cards opened multiple doors, so security was an issue. the pool felt unclean. They had an awful key- and towel card policy. You weren’t allowed to serve yourself buffet breakfast - it had to be done for you.

The staff were all great.
My room said mountain view. No view to speak of. The prices for drinks were outrageous even compared to other nicer hotels in the area. We were told we couldn't move our dates because the place was full. But there was almost no one there until our last night.

We loved the private pool in our suite and the happy hour in the swim up bar.
We didNothing, everything was great. A shame we did not stay 3 nights.

Nice hotel with nice bungalow rooms. The room was very clean and big so more than enough room for our daughter and us. The bathroom was also huge with a nice waterfall shower which our daughter liked very much. Breakfast was also more than sufficient. I really liked the fact that they cancelled the buffet breakfast for an a la carte one when there were too few people in the hotel, no waste of food.
The pool water had a bit of an oily top layer and some floating hairs. A bit more cleaning advised.

Thermal pool. Swim up bar. Rainfall shower. Friendly staff, all very accommodating. Valet guy was super sweet always made sure we were comfortable.
Didn't like the dinner. Both steaks were rare (ordered medium) and hard as a rock which didn't make sense to me. Also they don't have a children's menu, my kids both got chicken dinners and that was undercooked as well. We ate out every evening since I realized their specialty is in breakfast only.

The property is beautiful.
The staff wasn’t very accommodating to Americans. I would say anyone traveling from another country.

I booked this last minute with same day arrival. Staff was exceptional. Very friendly, very helpful arranging tours, and very efficient. The property was beautiful with a fantastic view of Arenal. The room was clean and spacious. I highly recommend.

The view on the volcano and the breakfast
the staff at the reception are very unprofessional. they didn’t give me back my credit card after check in. after 5 hours drive to reach the hotel I was too tired to notice. hours later when I had to pay at a restaurant in La Fortuna, I then realized it was missing. they didn’t even care to call me to tell me they had it.
internet is poor. no signal at all in the room at all.
the door to the bathroom locks itself when you close it from outside. to unlock it again you’d have to call reception since they don’t have a key . 30 mins later a staff came and opened it with a knife. I had to call the receptionist twice of course.
asked the receptionist about the lights on the street leading up to hotel. he said it’s all good. turns out it was total darkness.

the views from the villa and the pool are amazing! this is such a nice hotel! it was so nice to wake up to the sounds of so many birds . we felt so relaxed
I wished the rooms had sink and microwave in the kitchen area.
3.0
1. Friendly housekeeping staff kept the room clean.
2. Ease of check-out.
Internet service was great when available which was about 60 percent of the time. Bartender at the pool area continued to wear his mask around his neck even after multiple requests. Pool was dirty and never vacuumed. Pool chairs consisted of rotting boards with nails protruding. Breakfast was the same every day with little or no variety. Had better meals in Vietnam during military assignments. Room was clean but towels looked like they were old enough and torn to be used in washing ones car. Entrance security was no longer staffed as was in past stays.

The grounds are nice and rooms are really big
Too many water features and none of them worked properly. Imposible to take a nice shower. I could easily overlook that, but the front desk staff was so inefficient! We waited 7 minutes to check in because no one even looked at us. I had to go interrupt another couple checking in to get their attention and it took 14 minutes of waiting around the empty lobby to checkout while asking multiple other staff members if anyone could help us and the other guests.
