Lovely room in great location for a stay in Portree.

A most enjoyable visit and a very friendly welcome

An excellent location, close to the centre of Portree and all amenities. Ruth was an excellent hostess, keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Slightly tricky stairs but no big deal.

Fine for 1-2 people who don't need much space.

The location was great, very close to water and great place for walking. Staff was friendly. Nearby small grocery store and numerous eateries. Very short walk to the place for taking the iconic "Portree" photograph with the pretty colored row of houses across the water.

The room was super small, so it was okay for one night, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there for longer than that. The stair treads were a bit difficult, typical old triangular treads, so getting luggage up and down stairs was challenging.

The location was great, close to the water and all the downtown square.

The stairway, which we knew was going to be narrow, is narrow indeed. Anyone with mobility or balance concerns should consider alternate accommodations.

Very convenient and quiet, close to a Co-Op grocery, all restaurants, and Somerled Square for buses/tour group meetups. I was in Room 1 and found it especially comfortable. Ruth is a very kind and thoughtful host and I really enjoyed staying there.

Cosy, feeling like home.

Ruth is a lovely host! In the room you get way more than you expected, like little snacks and all the shampoons in the bathroom. The decoration is lovely and it makes it feel like home. If we return we surely stay there again! The location is great and Portree is surely the best place to stay if you want to explore, coming back to a lovely, warm, cosy, feeling at home place makes the fabulous stay on the Isle of Skye even greater! Because sometimes the rain will make you be stuck in the room, and this is the kind of room you want to be stuck in :) Thank you and keep the great work and I hope people in the future will stop complaining about non-changeable and non sense things like staircase - which is totally fine and even has a nice soft carpet on in and parking which is 20seconds walk away! :)) Kind regards!

A nice convenient guest house in busy Portree

This is a very. nice, spotlessly clean and convenient guest house in the sometimes summer-crowded town of Portree. The owner was away with a family emergency during our stay but she left detailed instructions and was reachable by phone easily. The beds were comfortable and the room well organized. Breakfast was an easy walk to several restaurants.

Parking can be tight in this town in summer, but there are municipal lots within an easy walk and we had no problem pulling up on the front curb to load and unload. Very convenient to COOP grocery store for supplies and even surprisingly good pastries.

An excellent place to stay and would, certainly, stay again.

Excellent location right in the centre with everything within a few steps. Good sized room with nice bathroom. Some unlimited parking across the road and down towards the harbour. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby but book if you can especially if there are more than 2 of you.

No breakfast but we knew that. Steep stairs so care if you have luggage. It's right at the bottom of the road - no number given so some initial searching.

Excellent stay - would repeat again.

It was our first trip since COVID hit and we felt very safe. Ruth made sure all the guidelines were being followed and she was very accommodating and just generally very nice. The room was clean and spacious and the location of the hotel was great.
