The heated pool was so luxurious. we felt like we had a boutique hotel to ourselves. our children played cricket on the lawn in the evening. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. A local pub with great grub 5 mins walk away. it was simply idyllic.

We liked everything! it was perfect!!

Stay was perfect, beautiful accomodation, spotlessly clean, got to spend 1.5 hours in their amazing outdoor pool alone which was heated and beautiful views. Son had own room. Lots of nice extra touches like handcream, nice shower gel, milk and juice and water in fridge and cereals already there as well as tea and coffee. Lovely host. Wife has just finished chemotherapy and lovely to be somewhere she could swim and so covid safe.

The whole stay was excellent. Just too short!

Tranquil and beautiful setting, with wonderful country walks on the doorstep. The owners were welcoming and helpful and had thought of everything, with fabulous attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The flexibility of the breakfast arrangements, and the helpfulness of the owner were excellent. The 'Den' was superb.

It is not a dislike, rather an observation. For a family staying with older children the set up is ideal. Ours were younger, and the distance between where we and they were sleeping, and the loo did cause our children some concerns.

The Den is a lovely, homely space within an absolutely beautiful house. The small kitchenette came fully laden with tea, coffee and biscuits which was a nice touch and the Sky TV in the lounge was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Very comfy beds within quiet grounds ensured a good night's rest. My home-cooked breakfast was made to order, punctually brought to my room by Liz and was absolutely delicious. There is also a pleasant little pub within walking distance of the house which was a great recommendation for dinner.

Located in such a lovely place. Felt like home :) Everything exceeded our expectation. Liz was really nice and well organised with our needs. Will surely visit again in the future :)

Even before we arrived, we got a lovely message welcoming us and checking if we had any dietary restrictions. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home, the apartment was lovely, the bed amazing and the finishing touches make it feel special. Breakfast was delivered to your room and the quality of the ingredients really impressed. The grounds are beautiful and well worth a walk if you have the time. It's only 6 miles out of Bristol and near the park and ride which was great as we could charge the car while we spent the day in the town centre. There are a couple of really nice pubs within walking distance. Liz has made this a wonderful place to stay, and is on our must return list. Thank you

The breakfast was delicious. The Den is really spacious and has everything we needed.

Our stay at The Den was extremely enjoyable. The beautiful setting, the house, our room, the breakfast, the pool, and the walks around the gardens were spectacular! Liz and her family ware wonderful hosts, they made us feel right at home ☺️ Even the lovely gardener gave us a tour of the grounds, educating us on trees and veggies! We had two lovely meals at The George which is only a 5 minute walk away. We will definitely be back!

If the apartment had more cooking facilities it would be another plus! To be honest it saved us hassle by not having it as we just ordered takeaway instead…really nice Indian in Backwell. There is a microwave oven which produced delicious pizzas believe it or not!

The breakfast was delicious and more than I expected with lots of cereal choices and good quality ingredients. The rooms where large with comfy seating in the living area, a table to eat at and a fridge to store food and drinks. The bed was very comfortable and the area was very peaceful. The swimming pool looked amazing but the weather was not good for us to try it out. I have been telling my family and friends what a lovely time we had here.

Everything about the home was exceptional. Liz was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We stayed one night and are going back hopefully in a week or two. Room was spacious and well equipped. Plenty of space to relax. The grounds are amazing and the swimming pool is something special. All in all if I could give a 11 out of 10 that's what it would get.... Look forward to seeing you again. Fantastic location, amazing pool and beautiful grounds, very comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Liz was extremely friendly and lovely pub at the end of the road.

The exclusive use of facilities. Sitting around the pool with a glass of wine, a magazine and just the sound of the birds tweeting. We loved the walk through the grounds to the top seating area where you have amazing views.

We liked everything! We were two friends who booked this place after feeling extremely stressed and overworked recently. My friend has worked non stop for the NHS and just needed downtime. This place allows you this.

Incredible country house and accommodation.

Only a minor thing but the shower could have been a bit more powerful. The pool more than made up for it though!!!
