Food was outstanding, so much choice and all excellently cooked. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The beach was gorgeous!
On the beach directly off the hotel there were several people selling trips and T-shirts, bracelets etc. but it meant you did get bothered quite often with the same questions. In fairness, they left once you said no but it got a little annoying after a while and meant we started to avoid the beach.

Really nice and fresh
More facilities and entertainment would have been nice.

Services were quite good when we got there as the hotel was quite empty and everything was good, service was fast and attentive.
We had to ask multiple times for amenities as they were not automatically replenished when the room was cleaned. Towards the second part of our stay the hotel got crowded and the service became slow and sloppy.

Check in was fast! The staff were very friendly. The hotel is modern and secure! I felt safe at all times here. The security at the gate take their job very serious. Anytime we left in a car they thoroughly questioned the driver. Samson at the reception desk was so nice!! The spa was amazing!
Communication before arrival was horrible. I had a dragged out conversation with them regarding the villas and rooms availability from April up til August. Management could not seem to locate the villa that had two bedrooms until I emailed them a video from TikTok showing them it exist. The app that they wanted guest to use did not work before arrival and during our stay. It caused us to eat mainly at the buffet since we were suppose to reserve by the app. The bathroom water was a little questionable. Sometimes it would be so cold. There was a lizard in my room and I killed many spiders and ants. My friend got bit multiple times by some insect after using a blanket out of the closet. The food was a 6/10. The only food that id eat again is the stir fry, samosa’s, and pizza. Hair was found in a slice of my friends pizza, so I was traumatized for some days after. Nobody in our group liked that the pool for an adult only resort closed at 7pm. There should be a 24hr pool at Riu Palace. Some waking areas on the compound need more light, myself and other guest had to use our phone lights to see where we were going some nights.

Staff were friendly
Didn't like friend wasn't allowed to visit me. Iron was cheap. Not enough buggies to move you around the resort. Travel plug needs a deposit. The spa also needs paying upfront in cash, does not accept card and you cannot add to the room.
The hotel policies does not reflect of a 5 star hotel.

Beds were very uncomfortable and had to keep asking for extra blankets. The only blanket on the bed was like a sheet.

We like the food, especially the seafood.
The Riu Palace ambience is very relaxing.
The staff are friendly and helpful especially the lady called Dida at the Restaurant.
The Wifi strength is strong and covers the resorts
The beach is clean and guarded by the hotel's security
The hotel is secure and safe
The bed in the room we stayed in, makes creaky noises and the mattress also need to be replaced.

I loved every single thing about Riu Palace - range of facilities, variety of entertainment, quality of food, staff, cleanliness, beaches, pools, the list goes on - everything was just amazing!!

Great facilities and staff. Extremely clean and an amazing selection of cocktails and drinks. Very well located with what feels like a private beach.
The food/restaurants were a bit disappointing. Having to book all restaurant reservations through the Riu app took away from the experience as you could only book 2 days in advance. There was also 2 nights where only the buffet restaurant was open which means every guest staying for a week, would need to eat in the buffet 3 times for dinner.

We loved everything! Everyone is so nice and goes out of their way. The hotel itself prepares many activities to keep guests entertained. The location is simply perfect! The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the food is to die for! Will definitely come again!
We asked for an extra pillow and waited for what seemed like forever to get it. But other than that. No complaints at all.

The place was really beautiful as expected but the highlight of my entire stay was the staff!! I have not once seen staff this nice in Tanzania.
Nothing really...maybe more fun evening/night time activities.

Everything was perfect! Fantastic restaurant options (extra nice that you can book also the restaurants of the Riu Jambo hotel which is right next to Riu Palace, and they get you there with the golf car), the staff checking if you liked your drink and asking if need more before the drink completely ends, the activities all day long -especially the ones in the pool-, the events every night, there is so much to say!
Some guests put their own music in the main pool, as a result we were listening to both their music and the music from the ginger bar, which was annoying. The hotel should make sure this does not happen. Moreover, it is nice that they offered service for manicure, but the result is not very good and takes way longer than it says.

We loved absolutely everything. Very green large territory with nice plants. Room is spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable and with huge terrace. Food was excellent both in main restaurant and iin alla cart ones. Great choice of sea food, meat, fruits. Beach is clean and tides are not bothering… you can swim the whole day. Staff is very friendly
minor things…. bed is a bit tough. for me was ok, but feels old. locals on the beach… not sure if the hotel can manage them not coming to the guests)

The property is clean and decorated with art and memorabilia that is appropriate for the Zanzibar, which I like loved- good job!
Smoking or no real defined smoking section. Cats 🙄

Overall environment.
Friendly staff.
Beautiful sunsets.
Quite romantic place to stay
Spa center, worst experience ever.
After the massage I had sauna & jacuzzi, asked receptionist to provide towels and she refused.
Reason was quite funny & by far disrespectful tough `this spa center does not belong to RIU hotels , these are different managements, hotel should provide the towels`.
Spa center is the right place to spoil your holidays.

Booking.com comments dont give this hotel its right.
70% of the menu changes every day which was a great diversity!
Staff f are welcoming and wiling to help anytime needed even that all is inclusive and no money change will happen..
Rooms super clean, big and full with all amenities needed.
Location : good location but jambo beach is better and you can go there whenever u want to.
SPECIAL THANKS to "Randy" in promenade restaurant for his dedication and his perfect custom service
We had to use the jambo clinic which was too expensive , 450 usd for "stomach pain" serum and some basic medication..

Lovely setting, great beach, food in the buffet was OK but a bit Samey. Service staff in restaurants were exceptional, and the standard of all-inclusive beverages was very high considering this was an all-inclusive hotel.
Limited entertainment, evenings were somewhat boring, Limited to no night life in the surrounding area, the venue is only really geared towards chill / relaxing vacations. Food at the specialty restaurants was not the best (when you could get access, they make it very difficult to book). Was very disappointed with the check-in experience also, staff on the front desk were not to the same standard as that in the restaurants.
