I'm all alone in my room, everything was cleaned with the kitchen and toilet on the second floor. I enjoyed my stay so far.

The only problem is that the shower rooms have no lock and you have to pay attention that it won't open on its own.

There is no reception in the building. You have to find your room alone by trying your key in all the rooms. They left me only 1 towel for 4 days, which was supposed to be used for everything. The room has only one electrical outlet located next to the door, so it is impossible to use the phone or laptop in the bed. As well, there are no reading lamps near the bed, but only one ceiling lamp whose switch is also located next to the door. The shower is freezing, since there is no door locking it. The free WiFi does not work well.

The heating wasn't working, it was cold everywhere and smelled of cigarettes.

The location

My team arrived at the hostel, after a long day’s work, to find that the provisions in the hostel were dirty; not only that my employee received electric shocks 3 times from the metal door handle to his room. If it would have happened once perhaps it could be ignored, but 3 times!? My employees didn't feel safe. I asked my employe to explain in detail the circumstances. This is what he said: “Basically every time I went to the door to put my key in the lock there was an electric shock came between the key and the lock. I even bought my colleague to see the electricity coming off the lock, so she witnessed it as well. There is a plug that's under the light switch, like there usually is, I think this isn't earthed properly; but I'm not an electrician. I was not confident of anything else in the hostel. It was the lock I got a shock off, not the wooden door. Unfortunately we didn’t take any photos as we were confused at the state of the place. There were stains on the chairs, and in the kitchen there were dirty plates/glasses etc from the previous occupants, the bathroom also needed a good clean.” When I called the reception they didn’t believe my complaint; but after a long working day and a 4 1/2 hour drive to reach the hostel, why would my employees lie? All they wanted was a bed and shower and a good night’s sleep. All it caused was extra stress and costs in finding new accommodation at short notice. When I asked for a refund, the hostel point blank refused and offered no form of compensation; not even as a gesture of good will. I am deeply disappointed and do not recommend the hostel.

I didn't meet any of the staff as this was mainly a self-service type of place, but that was fine. It was easy to get the keys and no problem with using any of the facilities. Even though there was a list of prices for the Wifi, it was easy to connect to, and was free. Bathrooms always clean. Good location close to the university and centre of town.

Had there been a problem, there was never anyone in reception. It wasn't an issue though.

The location was good, you could walk everywhere. There are all the facilities for cooking, so i could prepare my meal. There were 3 beds in my room but I was alone in this room which is unusual for hostels. but it was really good to be alone. All the information was send by person through the booking.com message and it was easy.

The room was a little old and under the bed wasn't clean.
