Wouldn’t stay again unless they had a complete overhaul
The location was good, amazing view of the sea and a nice big window to watch the sunrise
The blinds were broken and didn’t fit the window. There was only a net curtain in the bathroom that didn’t obscure much so we had to use the toilet in the dark so people didn’t see us. It wasn’t clean. Very poor lighting making it difficult once it got dark. Shower wasn’t very good, hardly any hot water and poor water pressure. It was one key to open the main door, inner door and bedroom door so I assume everyone had the same lock and key so we didn’t feel very secure. Windows were dirty with rubbish left in the sill outside.

Convenient and quirky but tired. Needs improving to become a great little hotel with character
A warm welcome from staff and the owners who had recently taken over the hotel. Fortunate fo find one of three parking spaces opposite hotel Location is ideal if you have a harbour facing room and the ability to climb stairs.
Shame the hotel was a little 'tired' and would be a fabulous place with more investment, Our room (4) was tiny we could just get around the double bed. The shower cubicle was opposite the door... actually in the room! Thankfully the handbasin and wc were 'ensuite'! We had no hot water, yet we found we couldn't turn off the radiator in the WC - we had to keep the window open. There were no bedside lights. One of us was ill overnight and partner had to navigate around the double bed in a panic to switch the light on! There was no electricity supply in the wall by the bed other than one extension cable that supplied power to the kettle - it ran around two walls from the opposite wall (where there was two TV's - one wall mounted and one standing on the chest of drawers - we used neither. No breakfast was available as we were told kitchen wasn't due to open until later that week so we missed out on a breakfast with a view. The dining and lounge area could be wonderful places to relax and enjoy. Bed was very soft and springy and we prefer a firmer mattress but we were pleased the room was clean,

Great views and rooms reasonable, handy location but needs some improvements
Rooms were modern and hard floor aided cleanliness due to sand. Views spectacular and central location meaning no need to drive during day or evening. Friendly staff. Dining area lovely
Bathroom outdated. Some DIY needed, curtain rail falling down and curtain hung over rail. Ceiling and walls look tatty (although newly painted) paper bubbling and lots of cracks in ceiling. Bathrooms old and run down. Shower poor and hot water takes 10mins to come through. Whilst its central which is good it's in a run down alley way. Entrance halls need updating. One door had a hole in which on first impressions caused concern re safety. Breakfast was pricey with limited gluten free optio a for a vegetarian so went elsewhere

Very poor
No breakfast available
Room very poorly maintained, cracked washbasin, no bedside light, rubbish quality furniture, very thin curtains allowing street light in, doors not fitting/ jammed, bathroom floor broken, manager REFUSED cancellation when requested 1 hour after booking - very inconvenient and would not return call to discuss just sent NO in email 4 days later! Staff did not reply to email question about no breakfast. Not an enjoyable stay at all and will NOT RETURN!

2 day retreat
Friendly staff, helpful when needed. Breakfast was lovely, quality products used & not cheap stuff.
Room was good but windows needed attention. Curtains moving in the wind, so draughty. Moved rooms when asked.
