A pleasant and regenerating stay

Family-run, Siarava is housed in a completely renovated historical building next to the castle of Ioannina, situated in a splendid lakefront position and within walking distance of the centre (full of taverns, cafés and characteristic shops). A short walk from the pier to take the boat to Nisi island (a tour not to be missed). Our room deserves a separate note, furnished in an elegant but traditional way, with details of refined taste. Impeccable cleaning and high quality hygiene products. Some noise in the evening from nearby bars and restaurants, but no real problems at night. The owner is an elegant lady who welcomed and pampered us like old friends, with a delicious homemade breakfast served in the cool internal courtyard, but also telling us the history of the house and the place and also some anecdotes from her family. It was a pleasant and regenerating, but also culturally stimulating stay in this fascinating region of Greece.

Spacious room. Quiet. Close to the lake for evening walks and breakfast coffee. Friendly host who explained the local sites.

We got a very large attic room, which greatly exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean and the hospitality of the staff was exemplary. The ladies even noticed that our breakfast habits were different and they enriched the breakfast with small adjustments, which was very kind.

Siarava is a very nice traditional house with historical roots. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and the owner is offering plenty of information about the regional history. Thank you Thomai, we had a wonderful weekend in Ioannina.

A pleasant stay in Ioannina

The hotel is a renovated tannery of 18-19th century. Mrs Thomais, the owner, was very kind and welcoming to guests. The location is excellent with nearby free parking spaces.

Ok for a night on the road.

It is a nice little hotel in front of the lake. Large room (the triple at least). Elevator even its two floors only. Nice breakfast. Close to castle, lake and center.

The road in front of it is so narrow, you cannot even stop to get your bags out. The closest parking is public, at some hundred meters. When raining (as it was the case) not very nice to drag your stuff to the hotel. Personnel doesn't speak English at all, but we managed to understand each other.

It was in town centre so easy to walk to lively restaurants/bars in area. Free parking 400m away. Clean.

No insect/mosquito nets on windows. Not personal service, after checking in we didn't see any staff apart from the non-English speaking person who made and served breakfast. A fridge in the room but no kettle available.

Great experience! Felt like home.

We liked everything about the place. The room was really nice and comfortable with a small cute balcony looking at the backyard, where breakfast takes place. We didn't have much time to stay in the room so we didn't try the TV but the bed was so great, big and comfy and we had a great sleep. Breakfast is what really impressed us and made our day. It is a small family-run hotel and the owner offered us an amazing homemade pie (alevropita - a mix of dough and feta cheese), exceptional honey, homemade cakes and more. It was a great pleasure to chat with her as she was really friendly and sweet. The location of the hotel is just perfect, right by the lake, so we had a great walk in the morning and at the same time at close distance from the city centre. In general, one of our best experiences, if not the best, in a hotel. PS: Ms Thomais if you read this we wish you and your family all the best!

Nothing to mention here. Everything was just great.
