Peaceful getaway

Sun House offers a delightful retreat with its bright, welcoming rooms and stunning views. The location is good for exploring the surrounding area and for surf activities.

Lovely stay

Really nice place to stay. Kind people and nice vibes. I loved the pool and the rooftop! The breakfast is also very good. Our room was very clean and we had enough space.

There was a lot of noise at the night. It's more a hostel-vibe, so take your earplugs if you are sensitive for noises at night. But in the village it's really calm and quiet, you're not surrounded by tourists (that's nice), but you really need a car to move around.

Nice location. Customer service needs work.

Lovely place. Great view, pool and roof top. Spacious rooms and floors. Nice to walk in the hills too. A 40/50 minute walk down to town which was nice but be careful returning in the dark. I loved seeing the stars, but some might find it a challenge. . The staff were very nice in general and I enjoyed Omelette Berber. THANKYOU Ahmed. The group meal on Friday night was lovely too.

Some strange vibes from staff, mainly owner. Very dismissive attitude. He interupted me talking to other staff members twice, like my presence was not important. The atmosphere became aggressive when i left as i couldn't pay the food/drink bill. I couldn't pay the bill as their card machine wasnt working. It clearly says... Payment by card accepted on the wall . I offered to pay by PayPal and set this up. But that was not ok either. They also added to my bill. Only 40 dm or so but seemed odd... Perhaps they charged me for boiling water. Don't know . Conversion to euro added a further 3 or 4 euros. Strange as i wanted to pay in Dirhams but the stress was fruitless anyway as i didnt have cash. I had asked Houcine the day b4 about a lift, but he wasnt interested. I said i would pay later with cash as will still be in town. I had to walk back to town but i was followed on motorbike. Not nice to follow lone female down dirt road. I asked to be left alone. Houcine then came after me in a car saying they would get me with my passport and that they had me on camera. Not nice at all. Aggressive and threatening despite starting the encounter with 'i don't want to threaten you but....' They then cancelled my booking and are saying I was never there. I WAS. I was happy to pay the bill but Houcine did not respond to whatsapp message again Nice place but keep a record of what you eat or drink(i did) and be wary of additonal charges and that the card machine does not work. I am in town now, and apparently this has happened with Sun Morroco before. SO Be careful!!! Houcine may seem nice but if he gets you alone he is NOT. Shame. I have been to Morroco many times and never had this type if accusation or threatening behaviour. Nice but not worth it for the price i paid.

Le lieu est super mais le personnel ne suit pas du tout les demandes clients bien qu’il te dise que c’est ok. Donc un petit dej complètement raté et payant qd même (buffet mangé avant notre venue prévue avec le personnel et bien dit et revalidé et un lit hors d’usage dans un chambre donc obligé de changer la personne de chambre et de surcharger une des chambres louée.

Le personnel de cuisine n’est pas du tout aimable.

cosy place, friendly staff, clean refreshing pool, reasonable

- very friendly staff, everyone was quite attentive to our son and that was quite important to me :D - swimming pool! - surfers breakfast - view - interior - much space to hang around - last night the local guys were having a party, I really enjoyed the live music through my window (too bad I could not join because of early get up the next morning), awesome! - the surf guide took a wetsuit and a bodyboard for my kid while I was on a surftrip, also gave a few minutes to teach him

- first we had a triple room that was facing all-day sun, it was super hot and the fan that is in that room is small, loud and ineffective. This room needs to have an aircon installed (let it be higher price) - then we changed to another triple room that was facing west, big nice fan, pool and hang-out area, so this room was not so quiet the top bed in that room is not stable and we decided not to use it after the dad of the family tried to climb it (we probably come from a different safety standard country but we would not risk having our heads squashed if the bed did not hold!). The manager/owner said they use it for quite long without a problem, but installing a couple of wooden planks for safety would cost nothing and the guests would feel much safer). So all 3 of us chose to use a 150cm wide bed. The owned did not see it as a problem - the place needs some reparations (at least one bathroom had a leaking syphone), one sink is closed for use, one toilet shower not working etc - not major problems but don´t seem difficult to fix by an amateur - I was taking surftrips, but the other people were beginner level so the only instructor didn´t really have time for me (except for the 1st day when we were only 2). I should have rented a board instead for the other 2 days and saved 40Eu

Loved it!

Staff are quite friendly and the property is pretty clean!

The hostel is a bit far and way up hill from the center, but the way to it is nice, and at a walking distance with a nice panoramic view over the village.

I would highly recommend Sun House to anyone looking for an amazing hostel experience in Taghazout . The staff, location, and facilities are all incredible and I can't wait to return!

Superb

I liked the pool although it is kind of small but it is a beautiful one. And the beds were so comfortable. The staff is welcoming and the views are amazing especially from the room where we stayed or from the rooftop. P.s: if you love cats, there is a cute one in the hotel. She is pretty friendly

Brilliant!

Morocco is a developing country, their tourist industry is in its infancy period but nothing beats Maroccans welcoming and within few minutes you'll feel as if they were friends all your life. Our experience at this hostel was truly exceptional, and I must emphasise that this review is entirely objective. While it may not boast the opulence of a 5-star resort, it undoubtedly earns the title of an excellent hostel. The staff's friendliness and warm hospitality stood out, making us feel like part of their family. As a family of five with three energetic teenage boys, we embarked on new adventures like surfing, quad biking, and sand surfing at sunset – and what a blast it was! The manager Hocien was truly remarkable, he arranged these thrilling activities at very affordable prices adding to the overall enjoyment of our trip. Special mention for Mohammed, he provided that human touch to everything and felt as if our boys knew him for years, truly enjoying the activities despite their soft nature. Furthermore, the hostel's cleanliness was commendable. From the common areas to the dorms, everything was well-maintained, contributing to a hygienic and comfortable environment. Even on a budget, we found the amenities to be more than sufficient for our needs. There is of course some room for development, personally I would like to see a couple of varieties added to the breakfast menu, even some cereal would enhance it. Time keeping could be improved slightly although this was at times affected by actual guests. In conclusion, if you're seeking a delightful, affordable stay with a friendly and accommodating staff, and are eager to explore thrilling activities nearby, this hostel is an excellent choice. Our family had an unforgettable time, and we would gladly return for another adventure-filled vacation.

Great location. Away from crowds and noises. Shuttle service to Taghazout town available in the revenue or, if you feel fit it’s a nice walk down town amongst the Argan tree plantations.

A wonderful experience

Aell worth the drive and beautiful hotel woth great pool and view

The setting with the pool and the view is just great, the rooftop terrace has a great view ! it s nice, quiet and cozy and boy.. it s very very clean

communication is not great. could stay another night for same price. then it doubled and when driving of another offer. Price is important, but better a lower price than no guest I assume

Exceptional

I went to the Sun House with 2 friends and my little sister. We had a bless there ! Hossein and the other staff members were really friendly! We did some surfing and sandboarding. The atmosphere is really chill and the rooftop is perfect for yoga :) It's only a 5-10min drive from Taghazout. You can also have breakfast and food at the Sun House. I recommend the place!

Facilities are nice

Disappointed. Location, especially when you dont have car or bike is really bad. We had motorcycle and we had to go 2 times to mechanic to fix. One of receptionist was really rude and unkind. Be careful reception is not 24h open how they say in description. We came after midnight and stay locked out from house. When we were leaving it was any water, after some hours of waiting we left without shower.

Thoroughly recommend staying here, hope to go back again.

A beautiful rural location barely 10 minutes drive from Taghazout. Everything spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, picturesque roof terrace with great views. There’s a pool but sadly it was being remodelled during our stay. Hot tubs on the terrace.

Wifi could be a bit patchy.

very friendly staff and comfortable facility with pool table, swimming pool that was too cold to use and nice common area.

communication sometimes not clear, like offering late night crepes and then seeing them on our bill at checkout.

The treatment with the staff was very good and the facilites were correct.

The final price was absurdly expensive, we were overcharged for wetsuits and broken boards, the food is the worst i have ever eaten and very expensive, and the staff is very disorganized. I will return to Morocco but not in this surf house.

Great experience!

Beautiful guest house on top of the hill with stunning views. Extremely friendly staff who also takes care of the donkeys and cats outside on the street! Very comfortable house with nice breakfast, pool and some lounge areas. We loved it!
