We loved it! It's on a busy street so it's not quiet and peaceful but it is close to wonderful cafes and awesome antique shops and that's the very reason we came to Cajun Country! The history of the building and the unique furnishing are all lagniappe!!

The Old Bank is conveniently located within walking distance of a couple of restaurants and The Coffee Depot, where the locals get breakfast and lunch. The Old Bank was built in 1910 and operated for only 20 years when the Great Depression forced it to close. It had many different uses over the years. We loved reading about the history of the building and it’s owner, Mr. Paul, who lovingly converted it into his home in the 1970’s. You can read all about his life and generosity on the news articles hanging on the walls. Many of the original features of the bank remain and it is very warm and welcoming. You will find everything you need in the kitchen if you wish to fix a meal. Although we visited in January, we had a couple of warm days so we appreciated the use of the lovely courtyard with seating, landscaping, market lights, statues and a cute wall fountain. So relaxing to hear the sound of running water. Even the train whistle close by was short lived and very nostalgic to us. The hosts have done a wonderful job on the property and we were lucky enough to extend our stay for an extra night. Thanks guys and good luck in the future!

A real treasure found at the bank
Unique, beautiful and spacious. Warm and inviting, comfy and luxurious. We really enjoyed our time here, relaxing and visiting. Lots of activity right outside our door, but quiet and restful inside. We loved walking to Uncle T's Oyster Bar, so much so, we visited 3 or 4 times, excellent food. And walking to the Coffee depot in the morning for fresh beignets and delicious coffee. What a treat! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others, but probably not suitable for children.

Everything was smooth and perfect with the rental process. No complaints whatsoever. It was really cool staying in a place with so much history! A million times better than a boring hotel.
The only minus was Saturday evening the restaurant/bar next door was very loud. We stayed up pretty late anyway but I think it could be a problem for other visitors.
We would stay here again no doubt.
