The place to be in Franschhoek

L‘Auberge Chanteclair has a calm, but still central location to the Centre of Franschhoek. Nothing disturbs a peaceful time with a glass of wine or at the pool. On top it has the best hosts one can imagine. Their friendliness and helpfulness combined with an unbeatable knowledge of local (and more) information and tips, is the best we have experienced in many travels throughout the world. The breakfast is made with love every single morning!

Perfect !

Auberge Chanteclair is far more than a hotel. The staff and the atmosphere there truly makes you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious, the staff goes out of their way to assist you and the scenery in and around the property is stunning. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. The best hotel I have stayed in for a long time.

Herrliche Entspannung zwischen den Weinbergen und einem üppigen Garten

Die Lage ist großartig und der Garten drum herum ist super schön. Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Frühstück wird auf der Terrasse sehr zum Gefallen der Gäste präsentiert. Der frisch gepresste Saft am Morgen war toll.

Ich habe den Safe im Zimmer nicht gefunden.

Gorgeous spot within striking distance of Franschhoek town

Alan and Yvonne were wonderful hosts that helped us find spots to make dinner reservations even before we’d arrived. They’re super well versed in the area and take great pride in the property and being great hosts. The room was well appointed with plunger coffee, cookies, rusks and shower products. particularly loved the bed and gorgeous sky outside our window. Their wine is also great and the property overall has so much charm. Delicious and generous breakfast too.

about EVERYTHING!!.marvelous location,great staff and management!!Allan and Yvonne did about everything to make us feel comfortable and help!! .Without a doubt the best location where we stayed during our 3 week trip through S. Africa. Wished we could have stayed a bit longer. Will definitely return.

A great stay at a wonderful property in Franschhoek- we can certainly recommend!

As we drove in through the front gate, we knew that our stay at L'Auberge Chanteclair would be memorable. The property location is amazing, and we enjoyed strolling around the vines taking in the scenery. The accommodation was comfortable and the facilities are great. The morning breakfast on the terrace or in the dining room will not disappoint- we enjoyed the homemade goodies like fruit and honey from the property. Drinking the wine made from the vines on the property while sitting on the patio looking across the valley cannot be beaten. Finally, a wonderful location such as this cannot be run without great people- Allan and Yvonne run a wonderful location together with their team of friendly and attentive staff. Ten out of ten!

Everything was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations- nothing to complain about.

The quiet location and lovely grounds allowed us to be close to Franschhoek without being in the thick of it.

The room was a little chilly in the evening but lighting the fire soon changed that.

Exceptional

Amazing views, delicious breakfast made by leonora and petro, allan is a great host, we felt like home. The location for us was great, not in the city center with beautiful mountain views, peace and quietness but still 10/15 min walking to the main street with all the restaurants, shops and wine train. Can't forget cassey the hotel dog 💜

A beautiful little hotel in all aspects. Stunning location in Franschhoek, beautifully decorated room with the most comfortable bed, wonderful garden, perfect fresh breakfast and great hosts. And all that for an affordable price!

A beautiful property with wonderful hosts.

We enjoyed the peacefulness and beautiful views of mountains and vineyards. Allan and Yvonne were very helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations. The breakfasts were good and I was delighted that they managed to get gluten free bread for me.

I had heard stories about the famed South African hospitality, but I never expected the amazing service and quality stay

Amazing location, very clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast outdoors underneath the mountains and overlooking a vineyard.

A wonderful stay in a memorable setting

The house has been restored to its former glory with a lot of time money and effort being lovingly spent on a massive project

Allen and his wife run a lovely place. Both veterans in the hospitality industry they live and breathe tender, loving and care. Pool is lovely with fab views still very relaxing. Breakfast also a favo, kitchen staff is skilled. Again, much eye for detail. Upon check out I needed to reallocate to an airbnb in town and Allen dropped me off personally as it was too hot to go on foot. Again, Above and beyond!! Will come again!

fantastic location! the hosts have been remarkable. The location in Franschhoek was great, not far from town still quiet and peaceful. the room was sensational, the pool great. NOTHING to complain about. the breakfast has been prepared with love and it surprised us every morning with new juices and fruits.

Exceptional and unreserved recommendation

The breakfast was exceptional, planned in detail and presented beautifully. The cooked course was delicious and the fresh fruit juice mixes imaginative and so unusual.The buffet was generous and certainly more than might be expected. The property has the important facility of an insulated generator to guarantee electricity throughout the increasing number of outages.

Could not be faulted. Yvonne and Alan are exceptional hosts , interesting and delightfully welcoming The staff are attentive and smiling !
