Quirky Vermont B&B is charming and probably very typical of Vermont BNBs
Lovely helpful staff, great breakfast.
Clunky bed frame made small room feel tighter. Thin walls made eavesdropping on neighbors conversations a distraction.

We had a great if brief stay, location was excellent.
Enjoyed the breakfast selection. We were able to eat outside on the porch which was a plus. The furnishings including many antiques provided a warm cozy feeling.
Can't think of anything.

Breakfast and the warm welcoming of the staff and of course the dogs.
The pillows deflated to nothing when you layed down and a TV would have been a plus if the rooms offered one.

We enjoyed the stay at the INN.
Breakfast was great. Loved the room with fire place. Great staff!
Room with bunk beds was bit small for us.

Good nights sleep followed by a nice breakfast and farewell.
Innkeeper, Nick, is a nice guy; helpful and pleasant. Common area in guesthouse is outstanding; quaint and comfortable. Breakfast was really good, especially appreciated the quality fruit.
Room was smaller than I anticipated given I booked a room for 3 adults. A bit pricey compared to other B&B's I've stayed in throughout the land. Replace sausage patties with bacon... obviously a personal preference.

Unique, charming inn with great food
The inn is very charming. It's in a historic house and decorated in a very warm, eclectic style. It definitely has a lot more character than a Holiday Inn. There’s one side of the inn that’s been renovated, and the rooms are more modern; see the photos from the renovated room we stayed in. The other side of the inn is more traditional; I didn’t see that part, but it sounds like those rooms are more old-fashioned style. Our room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the little touches like the hand-painted walls and the stuffed bear on the bed. We appreciated the soap and lotion dispensers by the bathroom sink and the shampoo dispenser in the shower, and that they have soft tissues, not the scratchy ones. The room didn't have a TV, and we didn't miss it. The food was really good. The breakfast is included free in the room rate, and it's the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had. We had omelets, eggs benedict, and french toast--much more substantial than a muffin and a yogurt cup. We also went to the same restaurant for both dinners, and enjoyed everything we had. Food and drinks were both yummy. The location is peaceful. There’s a river that runs behind the inn, with some chairs and a fire pit set up along the bank. There's very little to do in the town; that suited us fine since we wanted a quiet escape, but be aware. Sylvester’s Market is right up the road if you need ice or snacks. The owners and the waitress were helpful and friendly. The husband and wife run everything, so you see them around all day multi-tasking, and it gives you an appreciation for this small business. It felt more personal and unique than a hotel chain. The waitress at the restaurant was very friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed her as well. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and plan to return!
The only suggestions for improvement are nitpicky things. The pillows were fluffy but collapsed easily and became very thin and unsupportive. The bed frame in our room (winter birch room) stuck out beyond the mattress and was dangerous to our shins. I wish our room had had a mini fridge. The towels were the thin scratchy kind you find at cheap hotels. I wished the breakfast had vegetables in it (as delicious as it was). The menu for breakfast and dinner is limited, so if you stay there for more than a few days, you may get tired of the offerings.
