Disappointing

Car parking was extremely difficult and limited and. not as implied on booking.com - allocated parking space was actually just general parking in parking bays with permit - rubbish skip taking one space and all others full. Double yellow lines opposite accommodation entrance and when unpacking car had to pacify traffic warden. Nearest (not near) public paying car park was closed on our arrival day.

Lovely home for an extended stay in Cambridge.

Well appointed and comfortable home in an excellent location

The price was a bit steep for Cambridge and the management service was a bit over the top.

Nice house. Very complicated registration process.

It's a lovely house. Easy self-check-in. Nice host.

1. registration process. All adults need to send a photo of themselves handing in their documents. 2. You must pay a guarantee of ±70% of the staying budget. 3. Each room in another flow. Not relevant for small kids / old members.

toll ausgestattetes ruhiges Haus, in Zentrumsnähe

Tolles gemütliches Haus mit einer großen hellen Küche, ein SZ ebenerdig zum Park, zweites SZ in oberer Etage, Wohnzimmer mit schönem Parkblick wie im Objektfoto zu sehen. Großes Bad mit Wanne und Dusche. Mini-Sitzecke im kleinen Hof vor der Küche, ruhige Lage fußläufig vom Zentrum entfernt, Ein Permit (Parkberechtigung für das Auto auf der engen Anliegerstraße tagsüber) liegt -bei Angabe zur Buchung- im Haus und muß nur ausgefüllt werden.

Man sollte einen Parkplatz in der Nähe suchen und stehen bleiben. Es erfolgt nach Buchung ein mehrfacher e-Mailkontakt mit einer Verwaltungsfirma (StayBeyond - London) bzgl. Auskünften zu Reisegründen, persönlichen Daten und Fotos aller Mitreisenden zzgl. Kopien von allen von je einem Ausweisdokument (Ausweis/ Pass/ FS/ Krankenkassenkarte o.ä.). Zuletzt ist die Eingabe eine Kreditkarte für den Einzug einer Kaution 300 GBP durch die Verwaltungsfirma erforderlich. - Erst danach wird ein ewig langer Mietvertrag und der Schlüsselcode zugesendet. Meine Kaution ist 3 Wochen nach dem Check-out noch nicht zurück.

Amazing property in a beautiful city of Cambridge, would highly recommend.

The property was beautifully decorated and the decor was to the highest standard. The kitchen was very modern and well equipped The bedrooms and the bathrooms also to the highest standard expected with the beautiful house

Damage deposit not returned by Staybeyond.com for weeks. Shame because the house is great

Great location and easy access. Very well appointed house, comfy beds, everything you need is here. A great stay.

Booking via Staybeyond.com not the owner or Booking.com, they took a £300 damage deposit which has STILL NOT BEEN RETURNED weeks later I have had to chase them to return the deposit-there were no issues with our one night stay, but the staybeyond team haven't returned the deposit. I had to call and chase and they said their finance team would process immediately, due to this I would not book any property through them again. I would much rather deal with Booking,com or another, reputable agent. Shame because the property is excellent, newly refurbished and in a fantastic location, its a top quality rental and clearly well maintained and looked after by the owner.

wonderful stay in a bright airy and character property with great attention to detail and amenities

the property was secluded and quiet with a lovely front view of christs piece. the furnishings were of exceptionally high standard and the property was immaculate with everything working. the attention to detail was great with a full compliment of cutlery, wonderful power shower and comfortable bed. the welcome bottle of wine was of a really good standard and immensely drinkable. the washing machine had tablets available to use and the location was great for town and school.

although the property is advertised with parking and a parking permit was made available throughout the stay there were no spaces on the road during any time of day and so was unusable. Alrernative paid parking had to be sought creating extra expense and hassle.

It’s still a pleasant stay in this house, with friendly neighbours too.

A clean and cute house. good location, very friendly owner. the bed is soft yet firm, haha, one of the best bed we tried besides the stars hotels.

1. it’s not the owner’s fault, but Google map did show the wrong location, which caused a small problem. 2. couldn’t locate hair dryer, maybe I didn’t search throughly. 3. the ambience light couldn’t be turned off in one of the bedrooms, so my kid needed to wear eyeshade for the whole night.

Charming property, beautifully decorated and worth the money. We will be back for sure

Property was really lovely, beds very comfortable, cleanliness throughout was very good, kitchen was very well equipped.the property has loads of character and great location for shops, restaurants and river.

Parking was a bit of a pain as we were not sure where the Brunswick areas of parking were until we saw a traffic warden to ask. He explained the parking signs on the roads have to say Brunswick and that is where you can then park.We also had two cars and the permit was only for one, however, NIck , the owners son was very helpful and even met us one evening to provide assistance. This really is a charming property though and once you familiarise yourself re the parking and surrounding area it really is fine. We parked outside, dropped off the luggage and then found a parking space.

Beautiful accommodation and location, onerous property management booking process

The accommodation was superb - finished to a really high standard, very comfortable with plenty of facilities for guests. The location overlooking the common was also lovely. Our favourite holiday let.

The managing company arrangements were very onerous. I had to chase them for check-in details, despite filling out a supplementary form at booking and being told we'd get arrival details 48 hours before. When I chased them, we then had to send proof of ID, alongside selfies and pay a £300 refundable damage deposit. A stressful experience so close to departure, and I had to chase for the damage deposit to be returned. The managing company responded promptly and helpfully to any enquiries, but the bureaucracy for such a short stay was excessive. Would give me pause to stay again at an otherwise lovely property.

Stunning location , beautiful house

Booking.com sent many emails the day before our stay asking for information about who was staying etc along with pictures of driving licences & us holding the id’s & wanting money for a damage deposit, yet they didn’t send me a key code, have bedding out ready for the 5th guest & nor was there a parking permit. It seemed very one sided. Then without a permit, we spent over an hr trying to find parking , which was not easy in Cambridge & ate into our holiday. It is very disappointing being greeted with all those issues after we had spent time before requesting these things. The house itself was amazing & after sorting out the issues ourselves, we did have an extremely nice stay & would definitely recommend this beautiful house.

Great house fab location

Location was excellent, just a short walk into town either through the park or along the river. The house was lovely, clean and comfortable and super stylish. Well equipped kitchen, toiletries and fresh towels provided, and a nice welcome extra box of chocolates were a favourite with the children. A great place to stay with kids and would definitely go again.

As we booked last minute there wasn't enough time to get the parking organised. So we only had two days instead of three.

Fabulous stay!

Beautiful property, tastefully decorated. We were really surprised how large the place was- we were expecting an apartment but actually it was the whole house. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could need. The courtyard was lovely to sit out in during the evening. However the views and location were utterly outstanding- wonderful views across the common which is literally in the doorstep. Overall and incredible stay and we would definitely return. Value for money was superb.

The only issue was that the property was let and managed by StayBeyond rather than Booking.com. StayBeyond required a very high level of ID verification which added quite a lot of admin to the booking process. Other than this the stay was fantastic.

Great location, lovely house, definitely recommend it!

Property itself is wonderful with a great outlook over the common. Fantastic location for Cambridge and having the parking onsite makes the trip easy. We had a great time and loved the accommodation, we'd definitely recommend it!

Really lovely property but not sure I would go through the pain of the booking process again

The communication between booking and arrival was painful. Asking for information day before arrival. Had to call and message. Need a new agent. Much simpler using Airbnb

Perfect, comfortable, character cottage in brilliant location

Wonderful location overlooking the common but within 2 minutes walk of local shops and 15 minutes to historic city centre. Beautiful cottage, full of character, with everything you could need. We used as a base to explore the city, university colleges and riverside by foot. The host was very friendly and looked after us during our stay. We would highly recommend.

Whilst the cottage itself was absolutely perfect, my only negative was the two week wait for the return of our £300 security deposit (returned in full as we left the cottage in clean and undamaged condition, of course). To be fair, this timing is stated in the booking conditions, but seems a little slow to me, when a property inspection is carried out on the day of departure. This is down to the sub-letting agents, and not the owner, of course.
