Beautiful resort for idyllic, peaceful, Thai getaway.

Absolutely beautiful resort right on the beach in the south of the island. Beautiful pool. Tasty food. Lovely staff. Beach on the doorstep. Bungalows are clean and has everything you need. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and just to escape and relax, this place is perfect. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

It is secluded which is a part of its beauty. So you are away from shops and other restaurants but you have everything you need at the resort. It’s a small sacrifice to pay for such a perfect getaway

the breakfast is generous, you can eat as much as you want .The location is great, private and peaceful, not crowded ,suits for people who want to rest peacefully. The accommodation is good and the food is ok.

Huge potential, good food and beautiful location, but more proactive staff needed

The sensation of being far away from the world, the peaceful setting, the jungle surrounding the hotel, monkeys strolling past you. The landscapes are beautiful, the bungalows are very charming and well built. The food is excellent, very high quality when compared to other hotels in Thailand, with Viet notes as well. Amazing massage by the hotel's masseuse. One of the two swimming pools is pleasant, with a nice view of the sea. The option to have a drive is great, to the old town, or the national park, which are both worth the visit!

This hotel is full of potential and could be exceptional. It is not well maintained and cared of. Even though it is "low-season", more effort could be made to care for clients' needs, to be more proactive and detail oriented. The people taking care of the hotel are good people, however goodness is not enough. In the bungalows, there were ants during our whole stay, in our beds and our luggages (although we did not leave food anywhere). Bathroom did not seem very clean. The restaurant also has many ants as it's on the sand, and plates are left to linger for a long time, reducing space, nobody comes to pick them up. Once again, more proactivity could be beneficial. The other, smaller swimming pool, was dirty and left unattended during the whole stay. The beach was not always clean in front of the hotel, and during our walk to the end of the beach we stumbled on a lot of trash, and nobody seems to pick it up. Unfortunately, because of the weather, it was difficult to swim in the sea, but that is not the hotel's fault.

A very relaxing getaway on a beautiful beach.

It is a lovely relaxing resort. We stayed an extra night. Great bar/restaurant and gardens right on the beach.

Aircon in our room made an annoying noise in the night.

Beautiful place

Located in an amazing bay with beautiful sunsets (though quite far from the main town). It has a really nice pool with a view to the beach, great food and really friendly staff.

The bathroom was a bit dirty when we got the room and we saw a few cockroaches in our room during our stay.

Easily the best place I stayed in Thailand. The bungalows and facilities are top notch.

Very close to the beach. The staff was very friendly. Food was excellent. Massages next to the ocean were sublime. I loved the seclusion

Its far from anything else, which helps keep it quiet, but also makes it harder to get into town. The dive shops are in the north, but they provide free pickup.

Perfect place to get away from it all

Super friendly staff that were very welcoming and helpful. Pool was great and the location was just what we were looking for (somewhere quiet, relaxing with charm and activities). Room was very comfortable and clean. Beach was on the doorstep and was great for swimming.

Restaurant was good but not amazing, the only feature that was slightly disappointing about the whole stay. It’s fairly remote so dining options are limited nearby. We stayed just a couple of nights so it was totally fine, it’s a very minor point.

Exceptional

Beautiful, well-maintained, calm and quiet resort on an amazing beach with clear water and pure nature. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, far from the busy tourist spots, in the forest in a national park. The bungalows are in the garden in the forest, arranged in a way that you don't feel crowded and have a lot of privacy. The bed is comfortable, there is a good pressure in the shower and the hot water is hot. Staff is doing an amazing job, they are friendly, fast, helpful and respectful, have an eye on detail, and work all the time to take care of their guests. You really feel welcome here.

Perfect week on Ko lanta thanks to Owner June

June and Tony were great hosts. They love their work and the staff is good also. Family resort, good pool, good beach. Tony’s banana pancakes are a must! We will return

A bit remote on island south end but with a scooter the resort rents, you can access all. Away from the traffic and commerce on the north island is a blessing

In a state of disrepair

Beach was nice.

Booked beach view, got garden view. Hot water faucet was broken so filled the bath using 16 plastic bags of shower water for my gf. The blinds in the bathroom are see through. Drain in the shower was blocked. The resorts road is hardly a road for 200m, bottom of my car got scraped each time. Comments say it's been broken since 2016. Paid extra for nothing. Extremely overpriced and not as advertised. These things are so easy to fix but the owners obviously don't care.

A paradise in the middle of Ko Lanta National Park managed by trully amazing people.

If you are looking for a paradise in the middle of nature with a private beach, with a staff made up of super friendly people, this is for you. Gorgeous place, very comfortable bungalow, really nice pool, all in harmony with nature. The best hosts you will find in all of Thailand, real people that after two weeks with them I can say we made friends for life, I can't wait to go back to this very special place and meet my new Thai and Vietnamese friends Tony and Jum, the best hosts you an imagine. We already miss them very much. Last but not least, try all the dishes on the menu, the food is fantastic! They have a super talented and traditional Thai cook. Be sure to try the shrimp Massaman!! Ridiculous good!!

I loved the whole experience I had, absolutely nothing to complain about.

if you looking for some quiet time it’s place for you. stuff is super nice, breakfast is really good, bungalows are nice. we also recommend a pool and beach. everyday you can see monkeys around the resort which is really something what adds value.

it’s little far from all crowds, nice restaurants and parties. But it’s call hideaway for reason:)

Everything at Lalaanta was perfect. The pool, the beach, the room, the staff, the sunset... We stayed longer than what we had planned and had an amazing time. Highly recommanded on all accounts.

I would very much recommend it- specially if you look for a quiet and “close to nature” experience

We liked especially the wonderful Beach and the nicely decorated bungalows. The sunset was really amazing and we spend many hours in the Ocean, playing and swimming. The sand is soft and the wawes are not too big for children. The cleaning was great and everyday we had the room cleaned. The food was delicious. The resort is placed very Remote, which we liked. We were driven to the atm or seven eleven shop for free, when we needed it. The owner speaks very good English, so we could talk to her, when we had a request or needed sine guidence. She was very helpful, and the rest og the staff also made our stay very Nice.

The shower was a bit cold, but it was not a big probleme, since we needed a cold shower after a Long and hot day. There were also a lot of small insects in the House,but for my children it was quite learningfull and interesting- maybe not for everybody.😉. Anyway the were cleaned away every day. The children pool was not very clean, so we sid not use it- no need for that since the Ocean was so great.

Peaceful relaxing resort in a beautiful location.

The location was perfect for us.... Very quiet with access to lovely beach surrounded by the beautiful National Park rain forest. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the bar and restaurant provided all food and drink requirements in a relaxed environment by the beach. The staff were very friendly and attentive... nothing was too much trouble.

The bed was "futon" style.... not always the easiest to get in and out of!

Beautiful and peaceful place in Bamboo Beach!

it was really a beautiful stay here in LaLaanta Resort. the location is amazing, in bamboo beach, nearby the national park.the staff is very friendly and helpful! beautiful swimming pool, restaurant and bungalows! clean and directly on the amazing beach. the food is very very tasty (breakfast included). you need a motorbike for moving around and reach the 7eleven and shops. very quite and relaxing!! i suggest this beautiful place to all Booking.com community!

nice rooms / not so nice restaurant

we stayed at a superior room, with bathtub - room was beautiful and comfortable but we had gecko’s poop often in our bed and in the toilet. staff is really nice and helpful - they pick you up from town (because transport companies dont go that far) and they help you go to town to rend a motorbike (you really need it there!)

the bar/restaurant was the most depressing place ever. they played lion king music non-stop and served really tasteless food. breakfast was really poor and tasteless as well. this is a place for families, it’s not a cool place. really far away from everything - this can be good or bad, depending on your taste. a taxi to the main area was 400 tbh each way! we had to rent a motorbike to move around.

Our stay was made greater because of the lovely staff! They are friendly and continuously helpful! The Food!!! The food service is quick and the dishes are tasty and made with love! Honestly one of my favorite places after this trip. Chiko is amazing and same the the rest of the staff!! Keep it up!

Idyllic

Everything, the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. The head chef even cooked us authentic Thai dishes, fabulous. Would highly recommend Lalaanta, especially if you want to just relax and get away from it all.

It’s idyllic location also meant getting to see the rest of the island was expensive as tuk Tuks can’t get to it and taxis are expensive. But I wouldn’t let that put you off this gorgeous place.

Exceptional

This place was exactly what we were looking for. It is secluded and peaceful with basically a private beach. The restaurant was great with lots of options and many vegetarian options aswel. The staff were always so lovey and helpful. They have there own scooters and car to hire if you want to go into town and a large library and DVD collection to use. We were gifted a free upgrade with a beautiful view of the pool and ocean. You really feel like you are on a deserted island with the national park at your door step.
