The cabin is lovely-clean, spacious and surrounded by trees. We loved the location, close to the wineries we like and beautiful hikes- and a great place to cut down a Christmas tree. We were there Thanksgiving weekend and the place even had some Thanksgiving decorations for us! The only things to note is that the driveway indeed is very steep,so my mother with arthritic knees had a very hard time coming down the driveway each time we left (just something to keep in mind for others.) The other thing to plan for is for baking and cooking, some supplies were limited (like having only two teaspoons). These in no way reflect poorly on the owners, just thought I'd note it for planning purposes for others. Overall, great cabin in a very quiet area!

My family and I loved this place it was clean, beautiful, and anytime we had a question it was answered immediately. It’s was perfect for my family it was near a park, had great trails near by and was lovely enough to want to stay in as well! I definitely would recommend this place🤗

The house is exactly as pictured. Owner and property manager provide accurate information and proactive communication. Located very close to stores and restaurants off Highway 50 at Pollock Pines, and also very close to the Sly Park recreation area. Please note the warning regarding the driveway, which if you're uncomfortable with the incline and distance, could be difficult. Thank you for a terrific stay!

Was an enjoyable weekend in a very nice spacious cabin.

This cabin was everything it said it was and more. Very comfortable, easy layout, as we were there with our 2 kids. We enjoyed the little town and towns surrounding it. I think the snow was the highlight for our kids. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area

We enjoyed our romantic weekend getaway at Susan and Steve's cabin. The cabin is roomy, comfortable, and well appointed. The location is close to Jenkinson Lake at Sly Park, near a grocery store, and within easy reach of Placerville. We would definitely recommend this property to others! Thank you!

This was a nice peacefully place to stay. It had most things of what we needed. The beds were comfortable. Even some board games and DVDs were provided. A few more baking dishes would have been nice options to use for those that want to do some cooking/baking while there. Having some seasonings was a surprise. Most of our needs were met at this location. The temperatures fluctuated. So bring a jacket for the nights and mornings. Toiletry items were provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper). We were disappointed that the pool was under repair during our stay. A Safeway in town was also nice for picking up needed items. If we come back to the area, we would consider staying here again.

We rented this cabin for Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect for us and the house was very clean and well appointed. Be sure to check out the lake down the road. It is very picturesque and relaxing. Also, downtown Placerville (about a 15 minute drive) is worth checking out. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Amazing place, we have stayed in many fabulous places from Asia, extensively through Europe and across the US, we are now based in the bay area with 3 kids under 3. This place is fantastic, super modern with a rustic appearance, clean, homely, loads of space. Private with a local super clean pool as part of the community. It's really close to local grocery stores, lakes etc.... we will def be back to this exact cabin... allot!!

We got exactly what we were looking for...a very tidy, simply yet modernly furnished, detached house/cabin where we could vacation while still staying in touch with work via a decent WIFI connection. The bonus for us was the ability to close windows to keep our special needs son's occasional loud noises from disturbing neighbors. Closing windows and the quiet surroundings also allowed us to sleep in well beyond our son's usual 7am wake time. We loved the open kitchen/living area. The kitchen well stocked w/r/t appliances, dishware, silverware, etc. The two bathrooms were very nice/comfortable/functional. The 4K/Roku TV allowed us to log into our FUBO account and automatically logged us out before the next guests arrived. Washer and dryer easy to operate. Quiet bedrooms. Front porch great for warm evenings. While the freezer kept ice cubes frozen, our ice cream turned to mush. I emailed notice of this to Steven (the owner), who had the maid grab a mini-fridge/freezer from the garage (locked to guests) within hours. Very responsive!
Instructions for arrival and departure were very clear and easy to follow.
As advertised, the driveway is steep and there's not much space for turning around at the top . We have a car that falls between compact and mid-size but never considered trying to navigate the driveway for fear of not being able to turn around at the top, so we used the covered parking area near the base of the driveway. A bit of an effort when transporting luggage/groceries up/down, but nothing reasonably fit, middle-agers can't handle. Might be different for elderly, unfit or disabled guests.
If we had to provide constructive criticism, we would suggest fixing or replacing the kitchen oven, replacing a few mattresses and upgrading to multi-ply toilet paper The oven took so long to preheat that we gave up and warmed our taco shells to the toaster oven . Ultimately a minor inconvenience for us, but perhaps a bigger setback for someone planning a roast. One of the two larger bed mattresses is starting to sag and at least one bunk mattress is pretty flimsy. These and the single ply toilet paper seem out of place in what is otherwise a very nice, comfortable rental..
We ended up giving a rating of 4-stars. But with a few minor upgrades, this could improve to 5-stars. Thanks for being great hosts!

Perfect kid friendly Family retreat
One of the best places we have stayed, Super modern with a rustic shell!, tons of space for the kids (twin toddlers and a 2 1/2 year old!!), local swimming pool, close to all amenities, grocery store only 1 mile away. Safe, clean, spacious, perfect downtime OR if you need Wifi is included, which was really awesome for work emergencies.
Love this place, will 100% be back here

This property was excellent for my family. I'd say it needs new pots and pans. And some how the microwave and toaster that were plugged in to the left of the sink did not work and had to be moved to a different plug. Other than this, loved it and would do it again.

The cabin has all the necessities and a homey feel. The location is great; close to restaurants, stores, Apple Hill, wine tasting and lakes/parks. Bedrooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. The home has a washer and dryer. Kitchen has basic cookware. Our group enjoyed our stay. Our only feedback is that the couches in the front room needs replacing. The seats don’t have support and they are very uncomfortable.
