About this house rental
We call it the Geode: pretty on the inside! Updated vintage 1950's home designed w/ love & a touch of sparkle. Living room, fully furnished kitchen, dining nook, & laundry plus 3 bedrooms & 1.5 baths. Luxurious master w/ king bed & a twin, second bedroom w/ comfortable Queen & a twin, & the office has another twin. Sleeps up to 8 comfortably. Perfect for couples, families, bridal parties, group getaways or any other trip! Walkable to restaurants/ downtown. 30 min to the Caverns! Longer stays welcome! We provide everything you need for a hassle free, fabulous stay. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the decorations were inspired by a Geode, and the house really feels lovely and homey. Vintage charm from original cabinets and crown moulding and original hardwoods, but updated comforts. Full kitchen has everything you need to cook a fabulous meal. The living room has a comfy yet cute sectional, and there is a TV with access to Amazon prime shows or use your netflix login. Beds for up to 7, plus the couch if you have an extra tag along (or a pack n play if you have a kiddo). Great central location with easy access to everything in town. Easy check in with keypad lock. All that plus friendly helpful hosts who live just a few blocks away and are happy to help if you need anything! Fenced backyard for your pets! Hosts

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. My son slept in the office. He liked the privacy but he said the middle of the bed sunk a few inches away from the wall so he didn’t sleep well. We didn’t know if it was a folding bed that might not have locked the whole way or not. Other than that, he liked it a lot. Didn’t take long to get to the caverns. Very enjoyable trip!

Girlfriend getaway
Great location for 4 girlfriends to explore Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. Host was very quick to respond to questions and book our stay

Until this stay I was a very satisfied VRBO user. I do not appreciate property photos with filters that make home look as bright and fresh as a new home when the “vintage” home does not come close to the pics provided.

This house was so cute, and it was perfect for our stay! Everything was clean and there were a ton of extra touches that made the stay even better. I would definitely recommend this house!

The house was decorated so cute! It looked exactly as pics. Very clean. Only drawback was backyard isn’t one to sit outside and enjoy and don’t walk barefoot as your feet will be covered in thorns . Host was very responsive and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend the Geode, the location is great for exploring Carlsbad and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks.

Geode House was a great choice.
We loved the decor, the appliances worked great, although, I wished I would have known there was WiFi. The listed said no WiFi. The carport was greatly appreciated during the thunderstorm. It was a good location for our needs. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

The owner was extremely responsive,mand the property inside was immaculate. The neighborhood was so bad, the house next door was literally a shack, and the neighborhood was not at all safe. If the home were in a better area, it would be great. Our young daughter, and her two young children (4 and 6) did not feel safe even driving up to the home. We did NOT stay there, but had to forfeit the rent and fees. VRBO needs to qualify locations better and include outside photos. This is my second unpleasant stay in 6 weeks.

Exactly as described, this house is a work in progress but super warm and cozy. Comfy beds. Keep up the good work - super cute! Much bigger than expected - huge bedrooms.
