Introducing Moonrise Manor! Come explore this wonderful vacation rental home located on Yellow Birch Lake in Eagle River, Wisconsin. With 5 bedrooms and 3 baths, this warm, spacious home is the perfect family destination for all Northwoods adventurers. Moonrise Manor has it all! The main level features an open style kitchen and living room area with wall to ceiling windows, creating a breathtaking view of the lake. Entertain your guests on the deck that wraps the entire length of the home, or relax in the four season porch, which is cozy and conformable in every season! With a fully appointed kitchen and dining area and high cathedral ceilings, you'll never want to leave the house! This whimsical home has two living room areas, both have gas operated fireplaces and plenty of space to gather the entire family. The lower level includes a wet bar/ breakfast nook for snacks and cocktails, as well as an exit to the lake front. With a full bathroom and three of the five bedrooms, the lower level seems like a house all on it's own! Moonrise Manor has a vista view of Yellow Birch Lake, with a private pier and a sandy lake bottom that will encourage everyone to dip a toe into the water. Yellow Birch is one of 28 lakes in the Eagle River chain of lakes, the largest freshwater chain in the world! Explore the lakes by boat and try your luck at reeling in an infamous Northwoods catch! Pontoon boats, kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available for rent through Hiller Vacation Homes to help you have the most memorable lakefront vacation!

This was our third year renting Moonrise Manor. After experiencing an 85% increase in the rent, we expected that the property would have been upgraded accordingly. We were sorely disappointed! The property is baldly “shopworn” and showed no efforts at upgrading. One of the dining room chairs had completely fallen apart and was removed by staff. Several of the upholstered chairs had stuffing coming out. The outdoor stairs and deck had a stair completely falling off and the center landing was sagging badly when it was walked on. The brackets for the metal ladder into the lake were bent making the ladder unsafe and unusable. I think you get the idea.

The management company was very responsive. We contacted them right away after arriving to let them know about tree limbs on the house. The day we were leaving a couple workers came and removed them. They did nothing about the piece of flashing that was hanging down on the porch though and didn't clean up the mess very well in the walkway. We also let them know that the deck, stairs and walkways were covered with leaves and branches when we arrived. Someone was sent the next day with a leaf blower. (he should be given some direction as to how to do that though) A table on the deck would have been much appreciated. The kitchen utensils, pots and pans should probably be organized and maybe some additions made to the supply. Dishes were plentiful, but plates were full of water in the cabinet when we arrived. We left a note about the refrigerator as it was leaking water into the fridg from the freezer. Our biggest suggestion to improve the home, would be to invest in some new kitchen and living room furniture. The furniture appears to be for very small people... the kitchen table and chairs are not very sturdy. Overall the house was in a great location, clean, and plenty of space.

This home is lovely and very well equipped. We loved the view from the main room out to the frozen lake!! We had a great time enjoying up north winter activities (snowmobiling, ice fishing), a walk through town to the shops and ice castle, and a walk in the woods.

Watching the snow fall on the pine trees and the deer all from the comfort of the king size bed. Great way to reconnect with the whole family. A short drive through the pines off the main roads and from shopping, felt like a million miles away to a private resort.

Booked a week in August 2021 for an extended family to enjoy vacation together. Moonrise manor was a wonderful lodging choice. Enjoyed the outdoor deck, indoor sunroom, open concept, gas grill, and outdoor firepit. We were able to make many home cooked meals, enjoy the Eagle River chain of lakes, see wildlife during the day and stars at night, and sleep comfortably. Recommend for groups of 10 or fewer.

Great experience and fantastic time living on the lake! The two paddle boards we found there were a hit w/ the grandkids! The only unpleasant portion was 24 hours w/o power or water caused by a major storm.

End of Summer Vacation in the North Woods

We stayed at Moonrise Manor in Eagle River in late August, 2020. Our 2 families were excited for the space the property had to offer and our 4 girls were thrilled to have the lower level entirely to themselves for the week. The morning after our first evening, those plans were ruined. The basement bathroom sewer was backed up and had flooded half the rooms with a terrible smell and a few inches of water. I spent a large portion of that day, as our families went to Kwik Trip to use the bathrooms because our water was turned off, trying to get anyone at the Hiller office to respond or care about our situation. The Hiller office staff was rude and uncaring, never once apologized, and repeatedly said that it was a Sunday, what did I want them to do about it? After being hung up on (!) I was able to reach the Owner and we worked to develop a plan to resolve. Come to find out the previous renters had flushed wash cloths down the toilet that led to backup. We couldn’t use the lower level the for most of the week due to the smell and noise as it was cleaned and dried. Our girls spent the week on the floor and couch in the living room. A small credit was provided after repeated requests along with an offer to stay additional nights at no charge which was a nice gesture.
Outside of having to stay in a 2 bedroom loft while paying for a 5 bedroom home due to the sewage backup, and the unprofessionalism of the Hiller office staff, the vacation was amazing! The location on the Eagle River chain of lakes was perfect and our pontoon rental was excellent. Ultimately, there are many rental options for staying in the Eagle River area, choosing one that won’t hang up on their renters in a time of need will be the goal for our next stay. We would recommend others do the same.

When we arrived we Realized there was no air conditioning! And that was not in the description of the home. We left a day early because the heat was to much The house was great besides that it had everything we needed for supplies. They even had a gift basket full of goodies for us. I will say all the beds very uncomfortable also. Unfortunately unless there’s air-conditioning a new beds I don’t believe we will be back

NYE Trip
We had planned a last minute trip to Eagle River and Hiller was more than accommodating in helping us book this home. We had additional requests and changes during the trip, and they were prompt and friendly in helping us. The property itself was wonderful, just sad it was freezing cold rain so we couldn't enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted to!
