Charming loft in a James Bay Character home. Fabulous location with restaurants, coffee shops, and water views a short walk away. Awesome soaking tub, which is a treat to find in such an historic space. Street parking was not a problem. Checkin host, Janelle, was amazing. She accommodated our late arrival and had a wealth of local recommendations.

Comfortable and convenient for exploring Victoria.

The property was just as advertised, spotless and about a 20 min walk to downtown, less to Fisherman’s Wharf.
Our only issue was with the breakfast coupons for the nearby restaurant. We were provided with 2 coupons, but were only able to use 1. The coupon stated the restaurant was closed on Monday, but it actually was closed Monday and Tuesday. Not a deal breaker, but be aware the hours are not as stated.
Thank you Brenda!

Lovely location, very clean and confortable. We really loved the breakfast place! Super cute and delicious, our mornings were very special. It was nice having coffee in the room too, and hand soap smelled amazing. There is no shower, but the bathtube is quite big, so all good. Thank you Brenda !

I throughly enjoyed my time at the Loft. It was clean, quiet, and private. And just a short walk to downtown. I would return as guest. I would give it 5 stars.

Comfortable bed, welcoming host, lovely view of the garden from the table area. Soaker tub is amazing. Excellent for undertall guests but taller people may find the sloping ceiling a challenge.

You don't have to be short to enjoy this attic space but good to be not too tall.

The suite was as advertised - cute little loft with a separate bedroom, bathroom and sitting room overlooking the garden. I would have appreciated being told how to access the garden and patio as that was listed as a feature in the ad. Also didn't get the breakfast promised on the Monday as the cafe supplying it was closed. And while we were fine with only having a tub and no shower, unfortunately the plug for the tub didn't work properly so even having a relaxing bath wasn't an option. Overall, though, the suite was clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated.

it was an attic very law celling which was very uncomfortable to move around, I hated it. I hit my head many times.
There is no shower only very high a bathtub which was so difficult to get into.
The ticket for the breakfast was invalid for the third day and a refund was not given to me which is cheating and dishonest.
And there are many that I did not like, but have time to mentioned, For the asking price you are better off to go a hotel

It was very well represented by the pictures

The bathroom don't have doors, it's on the pathway btw bedroom and kitchen and is merely closed with curtains. Taking shower is very difficult as you have to squat due to low ceiling. No microwave to heat any leftovers. Street side parking says it's only for residents but we were told to park there without any sticker, luckily we weren't ticketed.

Stayed at Brenda's cozy A frame loft in Sept. 2019 for 3 nights. The place is unique and is comfortable for 1, max 2 people. If you are a tall person (taller than 5'10) you are likely find it a bit tight to walk fully upright. The loft is part of the house, it is located up in the attic up to a set of stairs. So if you have hard time walking up or down stairs, this might be a bit of a challenge. Overall it is a comfortable quiet place with the window in the bedroom facing the alleyway, very quiet, only local traffic. The second window is in the kitchenette and faces the back yard. Kitchenette has a small fridge, a microwave, water, kettle, tea/coffee, cups, plates, cutlery, wine glasses. You cannot really cook in there, but can warm up food in a microwave. Bathroom has a toilet, bathtub and a sink but no shower per se. All is new and very clean with all things available for your use ( e.g. shampoo, soap). Bed is comfy and the bedroom is roomy. The most importantly, Brenda is a delightful person, very accommodating and helpful, and at the same time allows you privacy. The best thing about this little place is it's location! You are in walking distance from everything in Downtown Victoria. it is about half hr walk to the Empress Hotel. Coffee shops, grocery store, several restaurants are just 10 minutes or less walk. Your breakfast is taken care off and included in your stay in a way of a voucher for the local cafe that is just 5 minutes down the street from the house. Ocean is less than 2 minutes walk, there is a nice restaurant on the beach 10 minutes or less. great place to stay, i will stay there again when in Victoria.
