Owners Lisa & Joel live just a short walk or drive away in the village of Lagun and are waiting to make your stay memorable. Sol Patch 2 is my idea of heaven on earth. What could be better than morning coffee, gazing at the sea, with just the sound of birds, breeze, and the water?
If you want an excited, action packed vacation, this is probably not your cup of tea. But if you want to totally relax, away from it all, and surrounded by beauty, this is the place!

My husband and I had an amazing week at Jeremi #2. This was our first time to Curacao and we were looking for a place where we could explore and go on adventures, but also just relax and enjoy nature. Even before we arrived, Lisa provided recommendations for car rental, spas, and grocery stores. Once we arrived Joel filled us in on local restaturants and all of the nearby hiking trails and snorkel sites. The location of the property was perfect as a home base for exploration (close proximity to snorkel sites and Christoffel National Park) as well as a quiet place to relax with a stunning view of the water. After a day of exploring Willemstad, UTV'ing, or hitting up a few snorkel sites, we enjoyed many hours relaxing on the deck with a cocktail in hand watching the tuna jump and lizards stroll by. I cannot recommend this place enough.We will definitely be back!

The hosts clearly put effort and care into making this a wonderful space for relaxation and a base for seeing all that the western end of Curaçao has to offer. In a secured, gated community, the small private pool was on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean plus the large deck was perfect for watching the stunning sunsets. Joel and Lisa were friendly, helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Rental car is a must. Would return here - strongly recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at Sol Patch 2. Beautiful private setting was the perfect place to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We sat in the pool at sunset or under the stars every day and spent lots of time relaxing on the huge veranda, watching the birds and boats pass by. Easy access to local beaches, Cristoffel National Park. Great snorkeling at nearby Klein Knip. Joel was quick to respond to text messages, and he provided great recommendations for local hikes and bird watching. The place was a dream.

This is a wonderful place, a peaceful location, with a very charming small house with amazing views, both sunset and moonlight. Curaçao was unusually hot when we were there but this was never a problem because of the breeze through the house and of course the pool.
Many thanks to Joel and Lisa for the hospitality and all the kind advice on restaurants, groceries etc. We are already looking forward to our next trip and will surely be back!

Everything was great! The house was secluded and in a beautiful location. It was comfortable and had everything I needed. The covered deck and private pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea were perfect. Joel was very helpful with information and recommendations. I really enjoyed my week there. Thank you for the awesome accomodations and hospitality.

A beautiful property with amazing views, not close to the main areas of the island, but we found some really nice restaurants near playa grande just a few minutes drive away. You definitely need a car but it’s well worth it.

The property is just as we like it out of the tourist areas and in the Hearst of what makes the island life perfect living. The property was very clear, great ocean view and a wonderful plunge pool for relaxing and looking out at the perfect water. A short walk to Playa Jeremi where we were often the only people enjoying the water. Not a far drive from some great snack spots and dinner options, as well as local places to explore the unique landscape of the island.

Photos cannot do justice when it comes to Sol Patch. In the pictures you cannot hear the birds chirping, spot the little critters, see the movement of the sea or smell the sweet salty air. The location is remote & quiet, which is just what we were looking for. All the basic amenities are provided, the decor & artwork were absolutely beautiful & it was a very comfortable place to spend the week. I had read a review about the light switches, which seemed silly at the time, but yes- the light switches are in some places that I considered odd, but not really a big deal. The locks on the big beautiful iron doors require some patience, but again not a big deal. Maybe the keys could be labeled? We were 2 friends traveling for a Mom/wife break & this was a perfect spot for my morning meditations, journaling, reading & napping in the hammock. I am planning to eventually return with my husband & daughter because I would love to share this magical place with my family as well.

Everything exceeded our expectations, starting with Lisa to help explain the VRBO process - this was our first VRBO property. Heinrich was great to work and made our stay more comfortable.
Loved the the privacy of the property and how it's so quiet & peaceful. And safe! The pool was very cool and perfect for sunsets.

Where do I even begin? The pictures on VRBO are spot-on. Nothing misleading, no optimally deceitful angles. It was nothing short of gorgeous. The views were breathtaking. The wildlife at the house was so surreal and so much fun to observe.
We stayed 7 days and never turned the AC on once. By 9:30 am we had "feels like" temps in the high 90s but the constant breeze that came through the front and out the back was beyond perfect so there was no need.
The house is the last one on the road (with a nice distance between the house before it) so privacy was not a problem. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils we needed to make our own meals. FYI - eating out in Curacao is NOT cheap and options at this end of the island are limited, so this was even more valuable than we anticipated.
Lisa is great!! She lives nearby so she was responsive and available if we needed anything during our stay. Just a heads-up - all the outlets are 220v so I'd invest in a 220v to 110v converter for any US electronics.
Lastly, you can absolutely make this trip with a carry-on. We didn't actually want to leave the house most days so we lived in our swimwear and comfy clothes for most of our trip. This island is very laid back and no one is trying to impress so you can leave the jewelry, make-up, and fancy outfits at home.

Just exactly what we were looking for! A beautiful ocean view to wake up to in the morning with a stunning view of sunset over the ocean in the evening. The breeze through the open floor plan is incredible! Truly no need for ac in my opinion. Everything we needed to fix and serve meals at “home”. Why would you want to eat out when you can enjoy that breeze and view!? Clothes line on the side of the house to dry everything nicely before the next day of exploring. The eclectic decorating style and artwork was perfect! Joel and Lisa were so friendly, helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. There is a book in the house that is well worth the time to read. MANY tips on nearly anything you might want to know. Nicely located to several beautiful beaches. You will definitely want a GPS app! One of our favorites was Kalki Beach. It’s small with a relaxed environment but also had a restaurant, palapas and chairs as well as 2 floating docks with chairs out in the water. My second favorite was Jeremi Beach. It’s within easy walking distance to the house was very small with only a few chairs and umbrellas to rent. Good snorkeling! Swimming with the turtles at Pecado beach is a must! If you have a car drive yourself there in the morning and swim around the dock. The fishermen throw their fish scraps in the water and the fish and turtles are all around the dock. The fisherman also clean and sell their fresh catch right there at the ocean edge!

The property was perfect for a relaxing for a week in the sun and enjoying some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Lisa and Joel were easy to work with and helpful with navigating the island. This property is a duplex unit, but the owners have used landscape and walls to give good privacy. Very quiet part of the island. The plunge pool is so nice to cool off in while watching the sunset.

For anyone looking for an off-the-beaten-path corner of a lesser known Caribbean island look no further than the Sol Patch. This tidy, well-appointed property has everything you need to relax when you are not enjoying the multiple nearby beaches and unspoiled coral reefs. You can watch the sunset from the covered deck while enjoying dinner. In the morning watch fishing boats head out while you sip a cup of coffee and get a status update from your kids about what the lizards are up to. The managers are responsive and accommodating--and even helped with some trip planning. We could not recommend more highly.

We loved that the house was very comfortable and also very open to nature, in a very undeveloped part of the island. Beaches within a few minutes drive were uncrowded and had great snorkeling. The owner needs to put prominent labels on the light switches, as some were difficult to find - like behind an appliance. It was important to have brought food with us from Willemsted, as the minimarts have very little.

We loved the house and the view. Lisa and Joel were great hosts, we even happened to run into them one day while out and about and they showed us where to go to see the blue room cave. I would 100% stay here again if we come back. We even liked this house more than our second place on the island that we rented.

Wish we could give 6 stars! Sol Patch lives up to and exceeds its moniker! What a great location, and being Curacao, no shortage of sun. Sweeping views of the ocean, watching turtles, birds, iguanas, and absorbing the ambience all allows one to unwind and relax! The house is perfectly oriented to make the most of the relaxing trade winds – which we loved. In addition, the house has a good range of amenities, and food preparation is easy, if going out is not your preferred option. The appliances are new, and everything works as it should. And as a bonus the owners, Lisa and Joel are exceptionally helpful and great company, and have an encyclopedic knowledge of the island. As a result, we have new friends! Sol Patch is positioned at the outer limits of Lagun, which we preferred (not wanting to be in a town), and is in a secure neighborhood. Looking further afield Sol Patch is well located on the island providing ideal accessibility to many of the beaches, hiking trails, Christoffel National Park, and diving activities. Willemstad is a relatively short drive (30+ min). The snorkeling in Playa Jeremi is great, and it is a perfect bay to float around just swimming and enjoying the tropical ocean temperature. Thank you for making our first visit to Curacao such an enjoyable one – this won’t be the last! Sol Patch gets two thumbs up!

Tranquility and view are at the forefront of this lovely vacation home located near the friendly beach town of Lagun. Breathtaking sunsets over the ocean, sunrises over the mountain, and enjoying the beauty of well-maintained gardens are just a few of the amazing highlights. The newly built home itself is spacious and nicely appointed with unique art and beautiful furnishings. Beds are firm and comfy and rainfall shower head refreshing. The back deck with comfortable chairs, dining table, and hammock on an ocean bluff create the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying life. We loved the location at the north end of the island as it provided peaceful lodging, an abundance of diving/snorkeling beaches withing minutes, and wonderful dining choices yet a short drive to Willemstad. Definitely get groceries before arriving – our favorite was Carrefour at Sambil mall. Joel was there on the island during our stay and was very kind and pleasant to deal with when we had minor issues or questions. Lisa has created a thorough info book of restaurants, beaches, and places to see which we appreciated. One item to note – the outlets at the time of our stay were American 220 volt (3 prong with blades horizontal) and there are no readily available standard adaptors for these. We were provided a couple specialty adaptors and extension cords which worked but made the electrical situation challenging at times. The owners were working on solutions for a remedy. Overall, we would highly recommend Sol Patch.

We had a fabulous stay at Sol Patch: the hosts were so welcoming and helpful, we loved the property with great views of the water and sunsets, and great location in nature and near to wonderful beaches and snorkeling/dive sites.

This was our third stay in Curacao and this is the perfect spot! Location is amazing, view is unbeatable and the owners are just perfect. We had such a nice stay! We rented both units and had family visit us in the unit right beside. It was the perfect setup.

We loved the house and the nearby beaches, we have been to Curaçao a few times before, but we really enjoyed exploring this end of the island!.. The restaurants were very good and the people friendly. If you get a chance, try the iguana stew. Delicious!

This property is brand new and beautiful! The owners have thought of everything but if you can imagine an oversight, they would jump to rectify it. The beds are comfy, the showers are awesome. Cook in or follow their restaurant tips. Ask about the best hikes and local beaches and they will direct you to all the local secrets. The West end of the island is a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Make sure you're home to watch the incredible sunsets from the deck on a cliff over the Caribbean. What more could you want?
