The hotel was beautiful. The room was stunning with plenty of towels, and the room itself was lovely and warm. The decor was gorgeous and really well maintained. We were provided with several bottles of water, and also tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. I would 100% recommend staying at The Wyndham, especially if you're attending a wedding at Clearwell Castle.

The wooden doors in the corridors did bang shut quite loudly. There was a wedding party staying the same night, and some of our guests heard them coming back and forth through the doors that shut quite loudly. I didn't hear them once asleep but a few others did.

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Lovely stay.

We were attending a family wedding at Clearwell Castle. We picked the hotel because of how close it was to the castle. It was perfect for what we needed it for. The room was very clean and the en-suite was nice and clean too. Parking was easy and close by.

In the run up to staying we found it quite difficult to get in touch with the hotel - after 3 emails I finally got a reply. We were a bit disappointed in the room - for what we paid we’d hoped for something a little nicer. The room was very clean though. There wasn’t a window of time for breakfast each day - we were told what time we were having breakfast. Breakfast was a full English - there wasn’t a choice which was a little disappointing for the price we paid and no options for children.

Our stay was to attend a wedding at the the Castle. At the Castle was surprise that there was no disable toilet on the ground floor.

good tea & coffee making facilities. beds were comfortable. breakfast was very good. rooms were presented nicely and colour scheme was perfect. big rooms with armchair, desk, TV etc. the room smelt amazing when we came in.

there was a cobweb in the room. feel like it was quite expensive for the facilities that were provided.

Bar and restaurant closed so we had to go to local pub to eat or get a drink .We where only told this after payment had been taken and not able to change as non refundable although when booking it advertises bar and restaurant !!!! Payment is taken one month prior to stay !!!..(non refundable although you find out later that basically you have a room and nothing else that is stated in the booking information ) .Had to self serve to check-in as only one member of staff and they where required at the castle .....Check in only after 3 ....but if later later than 3.30 ...you do yourself....You only get told this on morning of your stay !! Main hotel locked and closed after 3.30 so you basically are in your room which are in the lodges opposite main building ..... You have to boil kettle on the floor as no socket near to table !! For £145 per night this is definitely not value for money as basically that is what you get ....A room and told to go off site if you want anything else ...Food drink etc...... The local pub is short walk .....But.....You have to book in !!! We had travelled for 4 hours to get there and had to wait another two and a half hours to eat as that's the only time they had a table available !!! Obviously that is not the local pubs fault !!

Breakfast on the first day of our 2 day stay, was shocking I'm a veggie and I got 2 hash browns ( over cooked and hard) 1/2 a cold fresh tomato toast on the plate and no beans and when I asked, they had no beans they had run out!!! No extra knives for the jam on toast!! They did give me beans on my second day, saying they was spoiling me that morning!!!! And the communication to guest is the worse I've ever come across!!!

Breakfast and communication It's shocking paper stuck to doors telling you where and when, but the doors were locked up so your just left standing about!!!

This is a dedicated wedding venue. No facilities outside those provided for the wedding. I wouldn't stay here unless attending a wedding!
