The deck is the ideal place in this home to relax at the end of the day and take in the amazing, unobstructed views of Lake Pend Oreille. On a cold winter evening, guests can relax next to the fireplace nside and still enjoy the beautiful views. But when the weather's great, the firepit is always a good idea. What's nearby: You'll be less than two miles away from Lake Pend Oreille, restaurants, and the small art town of Hope, Idaho. You can head less than a mile over to Seagull Charters for some fishing and to learn some history of the lake, geography, and wildlife! Schweitzer Mountain Resort is just under 27 miles northwest for skiing, great hiking, and mountain biking. The Idaho Club provides a fun 18-hole golf course just under nine miles away from the home. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Plenty of parking and room for a boat trailer *Please use only water to clean the furniture. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles. Security camera details: There is a ring camera at the front door for security reasons. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The view was absolutely amazing and the house was very nice too. I would have liked better frying pans in the kitchen but managed ok with what we had. No curtains or blinds in the bedrooms was a little challenging but the view made up for that.

The house was impeccably clean with current furnishings. We enjoyed the view through the large picture window as we ate our breakfast. There's no question that I'd stay here again because all of our needs are met. Every morning we would take a drive in search of wildlife and we found deer and turkey on our street. I highly recommend a stay here.

We did not stay. I asked for a refund but was told it was too late. Even for a cleaning fee reimbursement? Not happy with how thos was handled.

We loved this house - it was so clean and comfortable for us. The views of the lake were breathtaking, and the floor plan was perfect. Everyone in the town is super friendly, and we enjoyed our time on the lake with friends and seeing all the sights. It's frankly one of the nicest houses we've stayed at through VRBO. We are planning go back for a visit in the winter.

What a wonderful place to stay. The views are incredible. The renovation is beautiful.
But I have to repeat what other reviews have said. The Master Bedroom has a double slider with no drape or covering. So you will wake up at sunrise - which in the summer is 4:30-5am.
Second, the Master only has a queen size bed ? And they call it Luxury ? Even Motel 6 lets you have a king size bed. This is ridiculous.
Other than the fact we had trouble getting rest, it is a wonderful place and great for families.

I stayed here with a girlfriend to relax and soak up some sunshine and lake time. Just made my second trip back with my husband. Love this house. So cozy and comfortable really catering to some downtime. Great space for 3 couples to getaway!!

We Love how clean and Beautifully decorated this home was. Completely redone! Fresh paint, new bedding, towels. All kinds of spices, cooking utensils, coffee supplies. This is not walking distance to water but is a Gorgeous view

Great home with incredible views of the lake. The only issue we had was the AC unit in the living room was leaking a large amount of water. I contacted the property management company and while they were quick to initially respond, they said they would have someone reach out the following day to discuss the matter in more detail (I texted them towards the end of the night). The next day, nothing. We were worried it would leak again so we used it at a higher temp and it was better. For such a beautiful home they should have better pans to cook with, the current ones are completely scraped up, which is very bad to ingest particles from. We would have also loved it if there were AC units in all the other bedrooms as it did get very hot during the daytime. Blind/curtains on the front windows would have also been nice. At night there is no privacy - anyone walking the street or from another home can see straight into the house, which isn't ideal. All in all, it was a great stay and we would book again.

Although only 4 people stayed there, all 8 if us would meet there for meals and evening chats on the deck. We were pleased with the home but I would highly recommend fluffing the kitchen amenities. The chipped dishes should be thrown out. My mom cut her lip on a glass with a nick in the rim. And chipped plates are just tacky. I recommend simple white dishes that are easily replaced. Also, you heed to have 8 of everything. I brought stuff from my own home to set a table but most renters will not have that luxury.
The beds were very comfortable and the home very clean. I would recommend this rental.

This house served as our home base for a week of skiing at Schweitzer. The drive from the house to mountain was about 40 minutes but so scenic! The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need to be cozy and comfortable. And so clean! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Work review
My coworkers and I rented this property for a 10 day work rotation. We were working on a cell tower cite atop a mountain in sagle. The house was clean and had an open layout. The kitchen was fully equipped for any of the cooking we wanted to do. Beds were comfy and it was just an overall great experience.

We enjoyed everything about this property. Check-in and out were both very simple. The property had all expexted amenities plus some. I would list that there is a bbq on property, we brought our own since there was not one listed. Watching the sunset from the back room on comfy couches was a great way to end our long days on the lake fishing. Would highly recommend to others and we plan to book again if we're ever back in the area.

Although most of the windows have no window coverings, it was still one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in. We will definitely book this one again! If I could change anything about the home, I would highly recommend blinds on the windows and door across the front of the home facing the street. As mentioned in a previous review, there are lots of walkers and joggers in the neighborhood. If you prefer not to be awakened by the light in the morning, there is one bedroom on the lower level that has blinds on the window.

Great property - Quick Suggestions
Loved the property. But you call it a luxury listing and the large master bedroom only has a queen bed. I had to sleep in another bedroom. Second - you better like living in a fish bowl. It needs draw curtains in the master unless you like waking with the sun. Front huge living room windows have no window treatments. We literally would be sitting in the living room and folks walking by would wave at us. A couple small things: Put two foldable luggage racks in the master closet. Have some tissue boxes around.

This is a wonderful house. The view is outstanding and the house and property is clean and well maintained. You might want to know that there are no window coverings so there is no privacy. This house is in a neighborhood with lots of people walking by and you wake up when the sun comes up.It is also near a highway and a train track so there is a fair amount of noise pollution. There are no train whistles but there are regular trains that rumble down the track all day and night.
