Location - quiet but well connected and in a middle of a fascinating region. We only discovered the Montsoriu castle because we stayed here and its a must see in Catalunya. Arbucies has good facilities including a public pool and is generally nice to go for an evening stroll. Property - clean and well maintained, beds are comfortable, there are board games and toys for children. The heating system is a bit temperamental but once you understand how it works its pretty effective Hosts - very friendly, responsive and have great local knowledge Food - the kitchen is well equipped for home cooking but anyone staying has to visit the restaurant next door by the river at least once, it felt like joining a very big family for a Sunday lunch. The supermarket in town has a great range including local produce.

Not a dislike as such but a warning - the outside staircase is quite steep and kids playing outside have to be watched closely. it doesn't have to be used for access though as there is parking area on the same level as the living area of the house.

loved the view and great facilities. Comfortable beds and plenty room for family of 3 plus two friends.
