Located four houses from the sandy beach, this completely renovated cottage offers a classic Fire Island experience with a chance to get away from the noise and hustle of day-to-day life. While here, check out Fire Island SUP Co. - a one-stop shop for watersports lessons as well as parasailing, paddleboard, and tubing rentals. Spend a hot summer's day at the Sunken Forest, about two miles east, and enjoy some shade and take a ranger-led walk through the trees, and then spend an evening filling up on delicious food at one of the many nearby restaurants. And after a gorgeous day on the sand, walk over to Hideaway for dinner and drinks on the bay. After a fun day out and about, rinse off any residual sand in the outdoor shower and return to a relaxing and serene hideaway. The designer interior features an open-concept living space illuminated by abundant natural lighting. Enjoy the coolness of the central air-conditioning as you lounge comfortably on the new furniture to watch your favorite streaming service on the TV there. A bonus flex space features gorgeous custom built-in seating and a table perfect for remote work. The group chef will adore the newly renovated and spacious kitchen, as well as its new appliances. Keep the chef company at the center island, then gather for memorable meals in the stylish dining room. Better yet, take the food to the furnished deck and dine alfresco as you gaze at the nearby greenery. As your day winds a close, take refuge in one of the plush beds. The primary suite is especially enticing, in large part thanks to the brand-new ensuite, which features a roomy walk-in shower. You won't find many cottages like this on Fire Island and after staying here, you won't want to leave! Things to Know Streaming services are available with guests' own account(s). A green cage wagon is available for use. No cars are allowed on the island. All guests shall abide by Vacasa's good neighbor policy. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Parking notes: No parking available. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book. Guests under 30 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The home exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, very very clean, great beds and linens, roomier than expected. The only issue was not with the house, but with the management company. They gave the wrong code to enter and we had to wait for the on site manager to give us the code. The next day they gave the wrong for bike locks and we once again had to wait for the manager to come to fix the issue. Having updated and correct information provided should be high on Vacasa’s priority list. So the -1 star is for them. The house was a 5 star rental.

This is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for an upscale, updated yet homey quaint cottage. With all the brand new appliances and amenities and crisp linens only steps from the ocean, we could not ask for more. It even had new a/c and heating individual wall units in each bedroom and the main living area. The outdoor shower had amazing water pressure and was a little slice of heaven after a long day at the ocean/beach. It was a perfect stay for our little family get away!

Great little beach cottage. Close to the beach. We had a wonderful time. A few things about the house that were disappointing, the deck was falling apart to the point that we were falling tru the week boards. I think the house should be ban from rentals until the deck is repaired. Some one could get hurt.

I recently stayed at this home with 2 adult couples. The home was very spacious and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The best thing about this home is the location! The home is literally 3 houses down from the beach! I would highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again!

The house was better than pictured in the online photos which left us pleasantly surprised! We look forward to returning to this home for a future trip. OBP is narrow so you really cannot get a bad location even if you are bayside, but this house is perfectly situated 4 houses from the beach, and away from any crowds that come to the beach 5 blocks away closer to the ferry street. Being so close to the beach, we took advantage and enjoyed it at all hours of the day throughout the week for sunrise, sunset, morning jogs, and stargazing at night. A 6 minute walk from the ferry, this was also very convenient for us and for any visitors that came just for the day. The house had everything we needed including beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, linens, sunscreen, bugspray, bikes, and a wagon for lugging luggage and groceries from the market. The washer and dryer allowed us to pack light, and clothes pins and a clothing line were set up in the back to hang towels and bathing suits. Everything the house provided allowed us to pack for our full week beach vacation with just one bag each, which was very convenient! We cooked almost every night using the well stocked kitchen, which had all the cookware we needed, as well as a coffee maker, blender, pitchers, and nice stemware for margaritas and wine. We used the outdoor shower every day. We loved the many sitting nooks in the house including the outdoor hammock area, the side porch, the indoor living room and dining room. The WiFi was strong even when multiple people were connected, which is rare in Fire Island homes. The house is simple and nicely decorated with a beachy/boho vibe with wicker furniture. It is nothing fancy or modern, but it was exactly what we were looking for and each guest that came by fell equally in love with its charm. The house could probably use some very minor updates like a paint job on some of the walls, solid cleaning of the grill, and repair some holes in screens that allowed mosquitos to get in. Overall it was a magical week and we can’t wait to visit again.

The home was BETTER than advertised. An outdoor "hammock haven" was a nice surprise out back and around the corner from the main patio for a kid-adult separation.

Excellent location, 30 yards to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. Plenty of towels. The deck and dining room were perfect for us. OBP very quiet and laid back. One mile walk to Ocean Beach where there is plenty of action with bars, restaurants and shopping. My family and I had a wonderful time. Thank you.
