Really adorable cottage- perfect for our needs. The only downside was a garbage(?) truck at 5am coming into the driveway and making a lot of noise.

Overall great experience. The front doors were tricky to lock, but besides that a great stay!

It was the perfect spot for my 3 night stay in Peconic. The highway was loud at night (I am a very light sleeper) but that would be my only slight let down of the stay. Everything else about the spot was great. Very clean and close to a lot of great spots!

Superb location to visit dozens of vineyards. Excellent cottage for two people. Deborah was very responsive to questions and suggestions. We will be back.

My friend and I had a girls weekend planned and we stayed at the Quaint Cottage. It was perfect for the two of us! Centrally located right within the Wine Trail making it easy to head to any desirable location in North Fork. The cottage itself seems very newly updated and so well decorated and thought out. This isn’t a space for families or large groups, it is tiny but perfect for business trips or for a couple looking to get away. This by no means bothered us but it’s worth mentioning the bathroom/shower is European style and there is no divide between the shower and rest of bathroom. We actually thought that was pretty cool! The cottage is located off of a main road but we couldn’t hear the traffic at all from inside the house and it had a lot of privacy considering the location. Just giving some specific details in case others are curious. I would totally recommend this stay and Deborah was a great and easy host! We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I had a great time at the quaint cottage while visiting Long Island for a wedding nearby. The cottage was very clean, had ample space for the two of us, and was nicely updated. Additionally, the cottage is very centrally located to many fun activities, wineries, restaurants, and beaches. Deborah was a great host, easy to communicate with, and very accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at the Quaint Cottage! It’s literally just enough for a few days visiting the wineries and surrounding area. It’s SMALL accommodations so read literally what’s written about the property. Wasn’t a negative though; we were there to basically sleep and we’re out most of the days.
Only things I’ll mention are 1. there’s no delineation between shower and the rest of the bathroom so watch how you aim that shower head 2. Needs better signage from the road AND on the property. Easy to drive past and it’s tucked away on a larger commercial property. 3. No outdoor lights for the patio area so it’ll be dark if you don’t bring batteries for the lanterns the owners provide. And if you want to go out there at night.
But overall it was a nice home away from home for a few days. Glad to have stayed there and grateful to the owners!

The cottage was lovely. We weren’t able to make use of the lovely patio due to weather.

Arrived at cozy cottage in center of charming town to find a shed tripped up with a nice kitchen and a bed welded onto the end. Overlooking payloaders and storage sheds on main highway. Musty smelling minute space have to enter bathroom sideways , tumble into the bed to get In it. Never VRBO before will never do it again. Will not insult owner but clever photography scam of the century

The cottage is in a convenient location off the main road. It is equipped with everything and the finishes are amazing. We locked ourselves out of the bathroom and the host responded very quickly.
We highly recommend the cottage!

The finishes are very nice, it’s spotless. If Remnants of Ian didn’t come through, we would have used the patio more. It’s the best seating area. There is a bit of road noise at night, but nothing some ear plugs couldn’t minimize. If your from Up island or one of the boroughs, it probably wouldn’t bother you We had a problem with the lock and the owner had it fixed within the hour while we were at a wedding ceremony in Mattituck and we were very appreciative of that. Also, communication was immediate Overall, it’s small but nice

Loved the "quaint" cottage! Truly the most perfect name for it. Deborah was a great host and the property was well maintained, clean, stocked and adorably decorated. Ideally located (quick drives to wineries, downtown areas, shops, restaurants, ferry etc.) It's off a busy highway - that would be my only con. But at night which was when we were there the most there was no traffic so you couldn't hear any cars. Would recommend this property and stay there again!

Our stay at the "quaint" cottage was perfect for our 28th Anniversary weekend! The designers and landscapers really know their business. We loved the romantic touches that gave this cottage its personality, the European shower/bath is great for two! We would have liked a parking permit for a local beach, we visited Kenney's, Goose Creek & Shelter Island but, we were worried about getting ticketed if illegally parked- July or August stays might be more of a concern? Thank you for a memorable stay on Long Island Sound!

We loved our stay at this adorable little cottage. Although it was a very small space, it was designed to perfection. It was meticulous and felt so comfortable. The outdoor space was also a plus. Everything we wanted to see was all within a short drive away.
Although we were close to the beaches, you needed a parking permit to use them. Other than that, I would definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I just returned from our trip. Our stay in the Quaint Cottage was very nice. The property was clean, well kept and had plenty of amenities. It's a bit small, but was comfortable for the two of us. We also spent time in the outdoor patio area, reading and relaxing.
The cottage is in a great spot, as you can get to just about anywhere on the North Fork in 10 to 20 minutes. We spent a lot less time traveling around in the car than if we had stayed in Greenport or Mattituck. It is located on the main road, so you can hear the din of the traffic going by, but we didn't find that to be a problem.
I would recommend the Quaint Cottage to couples looking for a centrally located place to stay during their visit to the North Fork.

Deborah's cottage was perfect for what my family needed; a home base which would allow us to easily explore a few different towns on the north fork. She even allowed us to check in a little bit earlier. We traveled as a couple with our 3 year old toddler. It was exactly what we needed and very clean. I would certainly stay again but there are some things to note that didn't bother us but others might want to know:
-this is more or less a studio, the main bedroom with the queen bed area does not have a door to close it off from the main area
-the bathroom is teeny tiny with no separation or enclosure for the shower. I recommend you turn on the bathroom overhead fan to speed up the drying process for the floor tiles
-the bathroom is also in the same area as the twin size bed. This was tricky at times for us in the evening after our toddler went to sleep and we had to "sneak in" there without waking him in order to access the bathroom.
-the cottage is off a main road (speed limit 40?50? mph). Yes, you hear cars and trucks drive by at night while you sleep.
-there is no dishwasher. Dishes must be hand washed. I actually find this chore pretty relaxing but I know that is not the case for everyone.
-the twin bed is tightly surrounded by 3 walls. This was perfect for my toddler. I am 5"7in and could fully lay on it but I would imagine it would be harder for someone taller.
-as you can see from the photos, there is no indoor living room but there is a nice little outdoor space where you can relax; weather permitting.
For us none of these were deal breakers and we had a lovely weekend. Southold gives easy access to surrounding towns and beautiful restaurants and beaches. One tiny request I would make (like a few others) would be to consider replacing the steel bar stools with more comfortable, upholstered ones. We found ourselves hanging in the kitchen counter playing board games and wish the seating was a bit softer.
Thank you for your hospitality!

Peaceful Getaway
The quaint cottage was perfect for my getaway. It is a comfortable small space quaintly outfitted in a farmhouse style which suited me perfectly. It was an easy drive to get to Orient State Park and the town of Greenport. Deborah was helpful and quickly responded to my questions. I would definitely stay again!

Tranquil experience..
Absolutely adored our stay at the Quaint Cottage. It was perfect for the getaway my husband and I needed. The property was immaculate and very private. It was close to all our favorite vineyards and restaurants. The highlight of our stay was the outdoor garden. We literally sat there enjoying our favorite bottles of wine and conversating for hours. I will absolutely make this quaint cottage a regular place to stay when we visit the Northfork. Thank you Deborah for creating such a wonderful environment for our getaway.

Quaint Cottage is Just So Terrific!
My sister and I spent the weekend touring Greenport and the surrounding environs, and we just loved returning each night to the clean and chicly appointed Quaint Cottage. It had everything we needed, perfect for two people. We also delighted in the beautifully landscaped patio area, where we had coffee each morning. Thanks so much to our host Deborah for a wonderful spot.

Perfect getaway
We were visiting family nearby and this was the perfect little place for our family. Small, but all we needed! Highly recommend and would stay again.

Unsatisfactory
I was disappointed because there was no place to sit comfortably
It was basically a big kitchen with 2 areas to sleep
The kitchen chairs were loose and uncomfortable
The shower was part of the bathroom which was strange
Please cut back the bushes
Also there was no visible address

Beautiful Property
We loved our time here. We really felt removed from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. The cottage is small but perfect for a family of 3. Deborah was also super responsive. Only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer!

Clean and Quaint stay
Super quaint little property, clean, respectful, communicative host!! All I would say is DRIVE here. We took the train because we are from out of town and the property is not near the main town of Southold so getting around was rather difficult.

Good things come in small packages!
The cottage was small but everything we needed or would need was thought of and provided. Sitting on the patio was wonderful and we fell in love with the North Fork.
Finding the house number was a challenge as we did not see one. That was the only flaw.
The owner was extremely responsive.
