About this cabin rental
Beautiful 4 BR/ 3.5 BA, + loft, sitting at a 3,250 ft. elevation, with magnificent views overlooking into the Jonathan & Maggie Valley areas. Large deck area with a hot-tub, dining seating area and a gas grill. Has a king master bedroom, 2 queen Bedrooms, 1 bunkbed room. A stone wood burning fireplace on the main floor, covered porch with sitting area right off the dining area & kitchen. Three flat screen TV’s, Wi-Fi, dining room seats 8 comfortably. Two car garage, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer. PLEASE READ BEFORE RESERVING: NO MOTORCYCLES OR SLINGSHOTS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS COMMUNITY. Main Level: Living Room, Kitchen, Dining area, laundry room, covered porch with sitting area. Queen bedroom with full bathroom, second bunkbed room, 1.5 baths. Hot-tub on deck overlooking the valley. Upper Level: Loft with gaming table, Master King Bedroom with master bathroom with a Jacuzzi & wine fridge. Small balcony with sitting for two. Lower Level: Family room with flat screen TV, queen sleeper sofa, queen bedroom with gas fireplace, full bathroom and garage entrance. Rates: 3 night minimum required January – May $350 nightly / $2,250 weekly June - Dec (Holidays Excluded) $375 nightly / $2,425 weekly Holidays: July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year 7 night minimum required $2800 weekly 11% tax will be applied to rent Optional 6.5% Trip Insurance will be applied to rent Pet Friendly: Pet Fee $125 ONLY 1 PET ALLOWED, 20 LBS OR LESS. Please confirm if you are bringing a pet at the time of reserving. Pets seen at the property that were not approved by office of will result in a fee of $500. 50% Deposit Required for Reservations, other half due two weeks prior to the arrival. $100 Hot Tub Fee **We do not provide towels for hot-tub** $50 Damage Protection Plan $65 Reservation Fee (plus tax) $275 Cleaning fee Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180. Please order ahead before your arrival. The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

This cabin was a dream, we enjoyed every minute there! Easy check in process, cabin was clean and so cozy. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. The master bedroom was so comfortable and spacious. We loved playing ring toss and shuffle board and enjoying the amazing views from the deck. It was so peaceful sitting outside, even though there are cabins nearby it was so quiet. Convenient location. We loved everything about it and hope to return soon!

This year we were celebrating a 50 year wedding anniversary. The house was filled with family and dogs. The space was perfect. It provided the right mix of privacy and social areas, the balcony was perfectly situated with views of a valley and the surrounding mountains. We had visits from many birds, squirrels and even a momma bear with cubs. Being in a community we felt safe incase of an emergency but also enjoyed the feeling of being alone - nights were quiet except for the occasional owl. The drive up to the cabin was fine, there were a few switch backs that were expected and the drive up the driveway was moderately steep on a gravel surface - we had no issues and got used to it very quickly. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone.

We had a great time staying. I didn’t realize we had to check in at the rental company first, but once we got that sorted out, everything went smoothly. The house is great. And the views are spectacular. We had 7 adults and there was enough room for everyone. We played shuffleboard and football, which are a fun addition to the house

I highly recommend this property. I have been using VRBO for the last 6 years and they represented the property perfectly. The views were lovely, the privacy was outstanding, and the details were wonderful.
One thing - make sure you know to stop by the office to get access to the cabin. We were not aware but once we got our packet everything was easy!

The check in process was great - quick, simple and the communication with the property management was excellent!
The neighborhood is great for walks and had a playground that our toddler loved.
Close to grocery stores and restaurants but still far away to enjoy a serene mountain view from the house deck.
House was spotless and had everything that was listed in the listing - playroom, 4 bedroom, and access to garage from bottom floor.
We will definitely come back to this location next year.

Overall we had great stay in the Sunset Ridge Lodge. The folks at Smoky Mountain Retreat were wonderful. They were very responsive to our needs. The check-in and check-out processes were made as easy as could possibly be. We are already looking at future travel plans through Smoky Mountain Retreat.

We had a wonderful weekend at Sunset Ridge Lodge. The cabin was just as pictured, roomy and clean, we had no complaints. Each of our 3 children (teens and up) had their own room with comfy beds and plenty of space. We loved the master suite which had a very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. We enjoyed playing the shuffleboard which led to heated competitions! We especially enjoyed the hot tub which had plenty of room for the 5 of us. It snowed while we were there and the rental company plowed the driveway for us, which was much appreciated. They were very friendly and easy to work with, and even allowed us to leave later due to the weather conditions. We would be happy to stay here again!

Our party of 7, ranging in age from 12 to 70+ had a wonderful stay at Sunset Ridge Lodge in June 2021. Pictures just don't do it justice. Comfortable beds, beautiful amenities, and more than enough space for our whole group to relax. I would come back here again and again!

Small path behind house is also neglected, with planters empty or dead plants within. Driveway had deep ruts and needs grading/new gravel. Exterior siding and railings in need of new paint/stain. Great furniture and bedding and exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, excepting the poor large [only] frying pan. With issues addressed, we'd give it 10/10.

Really nice vacation rental
This place was 5 star in every way. Check-in was easy, the house was immaculate and the front deck had incredible views. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area.

Just What We Needed!
We wanted a different scene during our “stay at home” time. This property was just what we needed. Lots of fun right at the house. The hot tub, shuffle board, ring toss game and foosball were super fun. The views were incredible, and the cool mountain air soothed our souls. The property has great furnishings and decor. It has a big deck with rocking chairs, outdoor dining and gas grill. We spent lots of time in the screened in porch. Keep in mind, property is a mountain home, so you must use stairs. No outside fire-pit, but an amazing fireplace. Lots of other little details that made it a stress free stay, like weather info panel, high tech (but easy) thermostat, and garage parking. If you like to cook, bring your own chef knife and cast iron skillet, they have just about everything else. Lots of spices and Tupperware, but you need to bring your own coffee, aluminum foil, paper towels, a few garbage bags, etc. We hiked every day and took our dog to swim at Lake Junaluska. If you are looking to stay in this area, you will not be disappointed with this home away from home.

As we were there for a wedding it was a very stressful time and the company went above and beyond providing answers and services for our every request.
