Private small onsen as part of the room. Extremely friendly hotel staff. Great dinner and breakfast in Izakaya style. Convenient store just around the corner. Free drinks.
Only accessible by bus - around 45min from Hakone train station. Not so many restaurants around.

Free parking on site. Room is clean, spacious, quiet and Onsen within the room. Japanese dinner and breakfast included were ample and tasty. Service staff are polite and helpful. Lawson is just next door.
It is along the hill side, so tree lines view from the room. A walk to the nearest town for those without cars.

The hot spring bath in the room, the breakfast and dinner, the amenities (yukata, free soft drinks and water)
A bit tough to get to (45min bus ride with luggages) but well worth it

It was our first time staying in a ryokan and it was such a wonderful experience! (We were here around 1.5 weeks ago from time of posting). The private onsen was so relaxing to be in, and the room was furnished well albeit it being quite dark inside due to the wood finishes - we like this aesthetic so we had no issues with this. We left our windows and shutters open to let the natural light in - we were in the 2nd floor.
The food was also soooo good!! The brekkie and dinner sets was absolutely delicious, whilst wearing our yukata. We were served different sets over our two night stay, so nothing was repeated :)
In terms of getting to the ryokan, we came from Osaka and got off at Odawara station (go to East Exit), and took the Togen Dai (Hakone) bus to Daigatake - which stops conveniently outside a Family Mart. The bus takes roughly 1h 15min. Be aware that it is just a regular bus with little luggage storage. Then it is a minute walk to the ryokan.
The main road gets quite busy during the day time, but it becomes all quiet by the evening.

The breakfast was very delicious and filling. I also like the aesthetic of the room. We were looking for a traditional style room but with a mix of western style and that’s what the room provided.

They gave a good description as to the hot springs we were using and they were well maintained.
Most of the food was explained on a card in English.
While I know the gachapon machines don't belong to them, would be nice if they warned us if the machine is faulty or sold out.

Nice private onsen in your own room.
book taxi in advance if you’re planning on going to Hakone shrine or anywhere else. Takes time for taxis to come out there.

Great ryokan in the Hakone area. Very close to a bus stop. There is a family mart close by with a great selection of foods & items. The dinner and breakfast provided are exceptional, so many items that can fill your stomach. The service and facilities in this place are also very satisfying. The private bath in your room is very convenient.

Overall it was a lovely property, and excellent meals. The open air bath was amazing, and we would recommend highly to other travellers. It was by far the biggest room we had during our whole journey, and comfortably appointed.
It was very difficult to get to the property with public transport, but this was probably because of the typhoon the week before. Also, the staff we not as welcoming as we had hoped (and experienced at other locations)
