The Tourist Trap is a beautiful 6 bedroom (+ Additional sleeping Loft area) 4.5 bath home that sits directly on the sugary white sand beaches of Panama City Beach. ZERO steps to the Beach - You are already there! Bedroom 1 - 1st Floor - King Bedroom 2 - 1st Floor - King Bedroom 3 - 2nd Floor - King Bedroom 4 - 2nd Floor - Queen Bedroom 5 - 2nd Floor - Queen over Queen Bunk Bed with Full size Trundle Bedroom 6 - 2nd Floor - Queen over Queen Bunk Bed with Full size Trundle Common Space (2nd Great roon) - 2nd Floor - Twin over Full Bunk Bed. Sleeps 3 Home is approximately 2900 square feet with almost every room having a wonderful view of the Emerald water. Home has a Large open area for entertaining and gourmet kitchen. There is also a separate Media/Game room for the kids upstairs with game tables and large flat screen. With over 1800 sq. feet of outside decking (with 450 sq feet protected from Sun/Rain), the Tourist Trap is perfect for enjoying the sound of the waves or cooling off in the Pool! Home is located on Surf Drive (West end of Thomas Drive area). Perfect house size and location for our family. On the beach with pool and hot tub. All was perfect for our group. House had great size rooms and well appointed. We would definitely return.

Much more than we expected. Looks like the property had been upgraded from the photographs. Everything fresh and clean. Property management was excellent.
Response time for questions was within minutes and helpful. Would highly recommend there rental houses they take care of their guest.

13 highschool girlfriends gathered together to celebrate our 60th birthdays! We all graduated from Apollo High School in Owensboro, KY in 1981. We came from KY, TN, CA, TX, and AL to have the time of our lives! This house was perfect for us! Everyone thought it was beautifully decorated and so roomy for all of us to gather together! It is just a few steps to the white sand from the house and the views were outstanding! There is a little restaurant/bar called the Alibi within walking distance from the house that we went to twice! Long days at the beach with beautiful sunsets were the best! Thank you for the use of your home! Here’s to Chapter 61!

Adequate sleeping arrangement. Appreciated the added wine glass - requested for each adult and when we arrived there were new glasses just delivered. Really no negatives. Location was great for restaurants. Beach was great.

Property was very clean, communication with host was SUPERB and fast. The house is very well stocked even with a few beach toys, puzzles, and books to read. King beds were good, kids beds were pretty hard but after a long, fun day, no one complained lol. Easy area to get around. Loved our stay❣️

Pros: This property is beautiful and fit our family of 16 perfectly. The home is spacious, allowing everyone to spread out. We loved the deck, pool, and hot tub and spent several hours out there each day. The kitchen is large and has many of the common things you'll need. Having the majority of the bedrooms upstairs allowed us to put small children to bed, while not having to worry about noise.
Cons: When we were getting ready to crawl into bed late the first night, we found that many of the bed sheets were dirty and not washed after the previous renters. We found hair ties, hair, sand, and dirt in 3 of the beds. The trundle beds have a very thin mattress and were filthy when we pulled them out. Although we planned to have children sleep on those, we ended up not using them.
We would definitely consider staying here again. However, lesson learned to check all the bedding immediately after checking in vs. waiting until everyone is exhausted and ready for bed.

Great location, beautiful home until you start looking closely. Lighting fixtures falling down, water damage in bathroom ceiling, plumbing backwards in one bathroom, cupboards were dirty/sticky, dishes were dirty in cupboards, dishwasher basket for silverware huge holes so handwash silverware, foosball table with no foosball.
But if you are looking for the beach it was amazing. The pool and hot tub were nice for kids to play in. Close to a lot of things to do in town.

Next time I would pick the house next door. Our rental did not include cushions for the pool chairs, which were uncomfortable. Ice maker was broken entire week. No beach chairs provided.without up-charge. Had to pay extra $200 to heat pool (in December), For size of house, not many towels provided. However the management company was quite nice quick response to questions and would use the same company again- just a different property.

Great location, away from the larger crowds but still in the middle of everything! Was great for our family vacation! Plenty of room for 12 adults and 8 kids and could have fit more! Could use some basic maintenance on a few things but overall great place. Loved the private pool and hot tub!

Manager was excellent to work with! We got in 3 hrs early! Great location. The beach, hot tub and pool were excellent features! Our family of 18 loved it. Didn’t want the time spent there over. We would definitely be returning!

Honestly this property is so much more than the listing describes. This was by far one of the best places I've stayed. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were really comfortable with great pillows, it was so nice having private access to the beach and although I had read some reviews about people who had stayed here before that said that they were disturbed by people walking on the public beach access we did not have any issues with that at all. The only suggestion I would maybe have is that they update two or three of the lay down patio chairs and that they hang a full-length mirror somewhere in the house. This is absolutely somewhere I would stay again it was plenty of room for the our group that went down to celebrate a 40th birthday and we had a blast

The house needed to be cleaned better. The floors were dirty. There was dirty sponges, etc under the kitchen sink as well as dirty debris. The bathroom showers all had mildew and gunk on the outside of the doors.There was a closet upstairs with a drop down floor. Lots of what appeard to be discarded items thrown in it. I worried the children might go inside. It looked like a death trap. There was a lock on the door but it was not locked! Changed sheets on some of the beds because appearance made us wonder about cleanliness and freshness. I always carry extra sheets. The layout was awesome. With a little work this place could turn into an excellent property. I was disappointed. The pictures made it look great. A little misleading.

This was our first VRBO experience and we did not understand we would need to provide hot pads and kitchen towels and kitchen wash clothes. The patio door was very hard to open. The pool and hot tub were awesome as was view and being able to step off deck and be on the beach.

Wonderful home with beautiful views and location. Perfect place for us to host a small family wedding and reception for our daughter. The accommodations were perfect for our family!

Public beach access walkway is adjacent to property and occasionally homeless / drug users use that public access... (This is of no fault of property owner).. Overall this is a good place to stay with great customer service. I would stay again but would want price a little less.

Beautiful house
Beautiful house. Great ocean view. Love the pool. Perfect for our family vacation. Great service from Ben’s Beach Homes. Had an issue with a sliding door sticking and when we called the response was immediate. They took care of it right away. Friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them. Thanks for a great vacation!

House was perfect. Beach was a very short walk and was very quiet. The only complaint that I have is the sliding glass doors where very hard to open. One we did not use at all and the other one our kids could not open without our help and even it was difficult for the adults.

EOW's First Beach Trip
Our stay May 18th - May 25th was an overall success. The location right on the beach was fantastic even with the senior trip right next door (they were very well-behaved). We did have an issue with a strange rash for those who stayed upstairs.
There were also a few other issues:
The sliding glass doors to the pool area were very difficult to open and close. Someone has been trying to grease the track but all that was doing was gumming up the rollers with hair and sand. May need to actually replace the rollers.
The dryer vent does not fit the dryer and lint creates a fire hazard.
The ice maker makes a loud noise when trying to make ice. We bought ice instead of relying on the ice maker.
The upstairs shower was very slow to drain. May be a sign of a clog or plumbing issues.
The Queen bedroom upstairs should have the mattress and bedding checked - one of the rooms where someone had a rash. Also the blinds are being held up by middle support only.
The bunkroom should also have its bedding checked.
The pool was very warm and when we first arrived the circulation was very poor. When the pool guy came on Thursday, the pool circulation improved. Rash may have also been swimmer's itch due to poor circulation in the pool when temperatures are high.
The front air conditioner was very loud during the night - almost sounded like a death rattle when it came on.
Also, would recommend posting the baby items at the house as that would have saved some packing had we known.

Wonderful trip
Recent visit to Tourist Trip (Ben's Beach House) for a week with our family of nine was wonderful time away from Central New York. The house accommodated our needs perfectly. Family include one year old, 3 year old, 9, and 11 year old plus 5 adults and more than enough space for privacy and family interaction. Heated pool and private access to beach gave us best of both worlds as daily temperatures varied. House is so close to so many other attractions/activities to keep everyone busy. Sincere thank you to everyone at Ben's Beach House for all they did to accommodate our family and make our stay so special.

Great Vacation home!
Just stayed a week at the beautiful Tourist Trap. The house is steps from the sand, so easy for back and forth during the day.
They could use some curtains or blinds one the side of the house, we are early dinner eaters, and couldn't sit on one side of the table because the sun beating down. Also, there is not a King bedroom upstairs, just queens, both Kings are downstairs.
However, I still give his home a 5 star review, its very spacious, easy load/unloading from the car, and couldn't ask for better beach access.

Fun times!
This was our annual college friends vacation...... 6 ladies and we spent 5 nights at the Tourist Trap and had a great time!!!!! It's a great location, easy to find and very comfortable. We heated the pool and it was worth the extra cost. (april 19-24) We could spend any time of the day or night enjoying the water due to the temp. Great access to the beach. Easy shopping, walk to liquor store. The home was very nice and comfortable. It could use some deep cleaning in those not so noticeable areas and some mending on some of the furniture but this wouldn't keep us from coming back. It is a rental home so wear and tear is normal. We'd stay here again and will recommend this property and rental company to our friends and family. They were very helpful and quick to respond to any questions asked via email!

Great house, great view, great amentities
Our family of 14 stayed at the Tourist Trap for 7 days an we really enjoyed our stay here. The house was in good shape, there were plenty of places to sleep and the pool was better than expected. Let's not forget your steps away from the white sand beach. Everything was exceptional. The only feedback I have is that the surface areas (specifically the floors) were making our feet black, seems there was just a lack of mopping that occurred but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. If we are ever back in the area this place would be at the top of the list.
