About this house rental

Situated in Chandler, this charming house for $294 per night is a great option for your next break. This spacious, single-level home is on one of the prime golf course lots in all of Chandler! This is a newer listing on VRBO, however we are experienced vacation rental hosts, with over 400 happy guests. On VRBO our rates are typically lower than on other sites. So far, over 96% of our reviews for this home (across all sites) have been 5-Stars! The home is booked 90% of the time, year-round. EXTRA DISINFECTANTS USED DURING CLEANING, in addition to our high cleanliness standards. We welcome both pet owners & guests with pet allergies. Please read the entire listing before booking, as we try to answer the most common questions. This listing is for the entire home including the resort-like backyard with pool, children's pool, gas barbecue, and patio area. The views of the Ocotillo golf course, lakes, and local mountain ranges are breathtaking. The home is 2300 square feet and feels even bigger, with high vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan. There is a remodeled kitchen with granite counters, newer appliances and fully stocked with cookware and dining ware. Kitchen countertop appliances include a toaster, blender and coffee maker (coffee provided). An additional $15K+ of upgrades (new paint throughout the home, newly resurfaced pool patio, new glass for master shower, new flooring in all bedrooms, several furniture upgrades, etc) were put into the house in the last 2 years. All the essentials are provided such as sheets, blankets, towels, bath and shower toiletries and laundry supplies for your entire group. There are up to 5 separate sleeping areas. - Master suite with king-size bed and attached full bathroom - 2 Private guest bedrooms each with queen size beds - Living area with pull-out sleeper sofa - Chaise lounge in sitting area of Master suite (good for a child to sleep in room with parents) There are 2 bathrooms, a fully stocked laundry room, as well as a large kitchen. Children supplies (high chair and pack n play) are available upon request. The living room has a big screen 65-inch HDTV, a DVD player, a sleeper sofa, and fully reclining dual loveseat and plush Lazy boy recliner. The family room has a 50-inch HDTV, loveseat and two leather arm chairs. The master bedroom has a 32-inch HDTV. All 3 TV's have cable. The TVs in the living room and family room also have an expanded entertainment package, through an Amazon Fire Stick. Programming includes: Prime Video, DirecTV Stream with the “Go Big” package of 100+ live channels, plus HBO Max, ESPN+, Disney+, and much more! There is off-street parking available for up to 4 cars (2 garaged, plus 2 on driveway). There is a 3-car garage, with one space used for storage, leaving 2 spaces for you to park inside. Please indicate in your reservation if you plan to bring a pet. Dogs only, no cats. Children's pool is overflow style into the pool (see photos), so pools always have similar temperatures and cannot be heated separately. It is NOT a spa or hot tub. Because of the ongoing maintenance required for our yard and pool, we have regular biweekly service with a gardener/landscaper, weekly service with a pool cleaning company, and also monthly service with a pest control company. The service people come into the backyard on their own, do their work and go. They aim to be unobtrusive, but we cannot guarantee that they won't come into the yard when you're there. The backyard sits right up next to the Ocotillo Golf Course, which has some large, leafy trees. If there are high winds or storms, leaves may blow into the yard/pool from the trees on the golf course, which can happen in between the weekly pool service visits on Mondays. If that happens, we have skimming nets you can use for the pool and we can show you how to run additional cycles for the pool filter. That should be used as a temporary fix, until the next scheduled time the pool cleaning service comes. Extra trips from the pool cleaning company (beyond the normal weekly service, which is included) may incur an additional charge. There is some permanent discoloration in the pool surface plaster (black spots and brown shaded areas). This is a cosmetic issue, and is not a sign that the water or pool is dirty. Our guests have been using the pool like that for a couple of years, without any problems (see the positive comments about the pool in the reviews). We intend to have the pool resurfaced this coming year, just so it looks a little better (the challenge is finding a good contractor who can start and finish the whole job during our relatively short periods of vacancy). Swimming pool is not normally heated. Pool heat is unnecessary from April through September. There is a propane gas pool heater attached to the pool system -- READ CAREFULLY BELOW IF YOU'LL BE STAYING BETWEEN OCTOBER-MARCH. If you wish to request the heated pool option, fuel needs to be ordered in advance. Guests requesting pool heat are responsible for fuel costs, as well as a $50 setup/equipment fee. Fuel is stored in propane tanks (outdoors, near the pool equipment) which could run empty during your stay depending on pool heater usage. In such cases the fuel delivery company will refill tanks as quickly as possible for your continued use. Refilling the propane tanks requires 3-7 days advance notice for delivery or refill service. Propane tanks are charged to guests at a rate of $125 each (which is less than the fuel company charges me), and we have 4 tanks total. $175 or $300 will be charged before your arrival, depending on the anticipated minimum fuel you'd likely need, and fuel cost above 1 or 2 tanks worth will be collected by a separate payment request on VRBO. We do provide solar thermal covers for the pool at no charge, which increase the pool temperature by 5-10 degrees, when kept on the pool anytime you're not in the water. These work well as a complement to the gas heater, or as a replacement for the gas heater during April, & October. *** Please let us know at booking time if you are interested in the heated pool option, and please read “Proper expectations for pool heat” (below). If you do not request this option in advance of your stay, we will assume you do not want it.*** Proper expectations for pool heat: Use of a pool heater for an outdoor pool is designed to extend the normal swimming season by a few weeks (recommended ONLY in late-February-March, and October-mid November). Using a pool heater in the cooler months (late November-early February) tends to require excessive fuel cost, because cold desert night temperatures cause water to lose heat very quickly, and is not recommended because it is likely to not be effective (this is the same at almost all private homes in the area). We may have "beautiful weather" at that time of year, but not necessarily "swimming weather". Do not expect the heater to turn ice-cold pool water into warm water. The heater should only be expected to raise the pool temperature by up to 10 degrees (F), compared to the unheated water temperature. As a rule of thumb, you can expect to heat the pool to about 25 degrees (F) above the recent overnight low temperatures. Keep an eye on the weather forecast, to determine if that will be worthwhile for you. Trying to heat it more will burn through fuel very quickly and cost more. If you have requested the pool heat option and paid the setup fee, we will show you how to use the system (within the first day or two of your stay). Depending on the weather, it may take a few hours to heat the pool to your desired temperature. Fuel is stored in propane tanks (outdoors, near the pool equipment) which could run empty during your stay depending on pool heater usage. In such cases the fuel delivery company will refill tanks as quickly as possible for your continued use. Refilling all 4 propane tanks usually costs about $500 in fuel and requires 3-7 days advance notice for delivery or refill service.

Everything about this home is nice. It was only my husband and I staying but we love space and he wanted to play golf here so it was perfect. At the last minute our pet sitter canceled so we had to bring our dog and Sam was more than happy to accommodate with a small fee. This will be our first choice whenever we come back to Chandler. Thank you Sam for a wonderful experience. Lisa Mcarthur.

Very nice location and house in a quiet neighborhood. Backing up to the golf course gave a relaxing feel and made the sunsets enjoyable to watch as the backyard faces west. The pool heating option was great and came in handy for us. Our host, Sam, was very responsive to our questions and requess.

We enjoyed our stay greatly. The location on the golf resort was great entertainment itself and is a very pleasant setting. Lots of nearby biking and hiking opportunity. Great restaurants abound in Chandler/Queen Creek area. Access to 101/202 loops quick and manageable. Owner/Manager Sam was very responsive to several issues and provided the best resolution possible in each case. If modern TV streaming is not intuitive to you, ask for a demonstration tutorial upfront or written instructions to avoid any technological frustration. Outdoor grill looks daunting but works fine. It is a little cranky getting even flame across the cooking surface. Pool heating and cleaning is easy to learn and the pool system, as it is described, is very reliable.

We so enjoyed our stay at this property. Our host worked with us because we had some requests that some VRBO hosts did not want to deal with and I understand that. (Dogs) My parents who live in Albuquerque stated that they could live in Arizona if they could live in this house. It was the perfect location as we were visiting elderly relatives who live in an assisted living facility down the street.
