Situated in Hanmer Springs, this attractive chalet for $152 per night is a great option for your next trip. This charming little flat-access multi-level home perched up above the township is one of the early chalets just a short two minute drive or fifteen minute walk to the town centre, cafes, bars, pools etc but is well away from the day-to-day bustle of the busy village. Snowdrop Chalet is very handy to the network of walks and mountain bike tracks. Average fitness is required to walk up the hill to this property from the village – there is handy walkway next to the property that provides a shortcut via Alpine Ave. For those who are keen to take advantage of the views and tracks, just up around the corner on Acheron Heights there is also access to Conical Hill and the Majuba track. The property offers open plan living including kitchenette facilities (including crockery and utensils, 2-hob cooktop, benchtop oven, microwave, toaster and Nespresso machine [BYO pods]), dining/lounge area with a log fire for the colder nights as well as a heat pump. A deck area flows off the lounge where you can take in those amazing mountain views or dine with the BBQ provided. The shower/toilet is also located on this level. The two bedrooms are on the lower level. The cozy master bedroom has a very comfortable plush Queen bed (with an electric blanket fitted) and the second bedroom has a set of bunks (double bed lower, single bed upper). There is a third sleeping space - an open mezzanine sleeping loft which is accessed via a ladder from the main living area. It has a Queen sized bed as well as a single and trundle option, and a couch that can fold out. Please note that this space has a low sloping ceiling. Please note that due to the steepness of the loft ladder access and the bunk beds, this house is not suitable for young children (unless well supervised). The loft ladder and stairs are polished flooring and can be slippery in just socks. This property is best suited to a single family or a maximum of four adults, although there are sleeping options for up to nine, the compact open plan living areas are not ideal for larger groups - as per the photos - and definitely not for parties. Wifi is included. Tenants are required to clean this home upon departure so that it is clean and tidy for the next tenant. Guests are required to bring their own sheets and pillowcases for the beds (or sleeping bags), towels, facecloths etc . A duvet and pillows are provided. A minimum of three nights' stay applies to long weekends./statutory holiday periods Pets are only permitted to stay by arrangement – please ask first and provide details including breed, age, whether they have their own sleeping crate etc, and that you agree with our rules: - There is no fenced “yard” area; there is a small grassed area for comfort stops. - Only obedient, toilet-trained adult dogs will be permitted and must be kept under effective control at all times. - All flea and worm treatment must be up to date before arrival. - It is preferable that you bring your own sleeping crate and that dogs are kept outside. If your dog does come into the house, they are only allowed in the lounge area and are not allowed on the furniture. - The bedrooms/downstairs are no-go areas. - You must clean up after the dog daily – poop and hairs – including hosing the grass area as required. - The dog must not be left alone in the house at any time. - Any damage or stains must be paid for in full. A security deposit may be charged.

We had a wonderful 3 days staying at Snowdrop Chalet - we only wished we could stay longer! It was very clean and comfortable, perfect for our family of four, with enough space for everyone to relax. Great location and the hosts provided detailed information. We hope to stay again soon, thank you!

Property was just right for us. In a good location to walk up Conical Hill and a short walk into the centre. The house had everything we needed for our week long stay and was very tidy and well presented. We LOVED the bench top oven!

Great location in quiet cul de sac close to town. Lovely family home but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as all bedrooms are assessable only via stairs or a ladder. We did most of our cooking outside on the BBQ as there is no proper oven inside, this worked for us as we had great weather but it wouldn’t be practical in the colder months. Having two young children (3&5) the ladder to the loft in the living room caused a lot of anxiety, as did the fragile shower door but we survived!

Exactly as described. Cute, private and perfectly suited our needs for a short stay. It snowed while there so this added an element of excitement to our stay. Snug and cozy while inside. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

I have written my review already so it’s hard to muster up the energy to write it again. We loved our stay at Snowdrop Chalet. Great location, comfy beds, super easy check in, amazing communication with Naomi. The cottage was warm and cozy. It has a great location on the hill, amazing decks to enjoy a morning coffee or a meal on, cool gardens and is super affordable. A short walk to town, direct access to Conical hill and we all really enjoyed being there. I always travel with our dog so having him able to stay with us was also fabulous. Thanks for everything, we hope to be back.

We loved the log fire. The house is walking distance to the woods, had a walk up the walking track. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen has the best view of the mountains and from the loft window you can see the town. We enjoyed having board games and puzzles, kept the little one busy.

Great heating options but actually having a sunny living area and outdoor area is just as crucial. There was kindling chopped for the fire which was appreciated.This chalet is on the sunny north East slope of Conical Hill. Watch out if you go elsewhere in winter as there are some south west faing streets on Conical Hill with holiday homes that dont see the sun for weeks on end in Winter which must be grim and unpleasant.This spot is the opposite.This house is well equipped and tidy. Guests must be prepared to clean the house properly after themselves as it explainsas this is a Holiday home, not a motel with cleaners.It is a nice walk to the village. Will recommend to my friends and family. Thanks to the family that trust visitors will do the right thing.

We had a lovely stay and would come back here to stay again. The location has the most amazing view. Parking is convenient and easy. We stayed in the Middle of winter with some snow and it was so warm and cosy. Great facilities. We had a fun weekend and felt very welcome staying. Totally recommend.

We have stayed at many holiday houses and never experienced this! Pillows, duvets, blankets and mattresses were urine and blood stained. They had obviously never been washed or even checked. The instructions sent prior to arrival indicated that they employ a contractor to check the property, but on arrival this was obviously not the case. The shower is also in a bad state, but by far the bedding ruined our weekend. My parents are elderly and ended up driving home as they couldn't stomach sleeping on the bed. I called the owner and she said there was nothing she could do about the bedding. Please sort this! Snowdrop Chalet has been a delightful spot to stay but has sadly been neglected.

We loved it! Beds were super comfy, chairs are super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, the view and location are amazing, and we loved having a fire AND a heat pump. It was midwinter and frigid cold outside but we were cozy inside. Such a great place to spend a couple of nights with the inlaws. Loved it!

This is a very nice chalet tucked away at the top end of Hanmer Springs with awesome views of the surrounding hills/scenery, it has everything that you need to make yourself comfortable and was a great place to spend the weekend, allowing us to enjoy the Hanmer Springs experience to the full.
