The cottage features a full kitchen with quartz countertops, 2 full bathrooms with double quartz vanities and custom tiled showers with glass doors. The washer/dryer, air conditioning, and heating are all brand new for your comfort. The cottage includes a downstairs queen bedroom, upstairs queen bedroom, upstairs twin bunk bed room and an upstairs full bedroom. It comes stocked with kids toys, books, a couple beach chairs, a beach cooler bag, corn hole and games to use during your stay. Conveniently located two blocks from the beach at the blue stairs and breathtaking sunsets over Lake Michigan! One block from the amazing Kids Corner playground, 5 blocks to the kids Splash pad and 5-6 blocks from downtown. Plus steps away from the paved Van Buren State Park Trail and a short ride to the Kal-Haven 33.5 mile trail for biking, running or walking. Love the water? Ask us for information on fishing charters (contact us for guest discounts) or sailboat cruise. Our cottage is open for year round fun and is the perfect winter retreat! Walk, cross country ski or snowmobile the Kal-Haven trail. Ice skate downtown in a festive atmosphere or go downhill skiing at Timber Ridge or Bittersweet 35-45 miles away. Take in a movie at Michigan Theatre of South Haven or play the over 65+ retro video games and pinball games at Rocket Arcade. Then shop and dine downtown after viewing the lighthouse in all of it’s winter glory! End the day by coming home to relax in front of a warm, cozy fireplace. We absolutely loved our stay at Carrie's house! She is an incredible host with such excellent communication and a welcoming manner. This was our first trip to South Haven and she gave me great information on places to go, where to eat, how to enjoy the area etc. We loved the history of the house and it is really so charming and cozy. Can't wait to come back another time!

My husband and I along with our two year old little guy had an amazing time! Communication was stellar, the location was perfect, the lake house had everything we needed including a s'mores welcome kit! The perfect destination to remove yourself from the chaos of the real world and focus on yourself & family. We read, we walked, we talked by the fire, we ate, we had great wine, we enjoyed the beach, the playground, and we recharged. We look forward to our next trip at Carrie's cottage in 2024. She is an amazing host! Don't hesitate to book, you won't be disappointed!

This was a cute house. It had everything we needed. The gas fireplace was so nice on a cold and wet night and it let out a good amount of heat. The location was perfect. Easy walk to the beach and I felt safe walking in the dark. Carrie was great. She answered any questions I had and always responded. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

We will definitely rent this house again! Carrie was an amazing host, and spared no detail in designing an outfit in the home for our stay. Every detail even down to a basket of goodies to make s’mores. The location is two blocks from the beach and a quick walk into town. The absolute ideal location. Communication was quick and very easy.

This property was exactly what we were looking for at South Haven. The location was great for the beach and close enough to hit up other points of interest. The floor plans provide a lot of flexibility and recent renovations are holding up nicely. The side yard and well stocked game/toy cabinet were a perfect mix of fun for both young and old. Definitely hope to return at some point!

Great location in pretty neighborhood about 3 blocks to beach access. And only 1 block to kids corner. House is updated, clean and well appointed. Kitchen and bathrooms are brand new, very clean, super functional. We enjoyed fire pit, grill, porch, and driveway/play area. Kids love the bunk beds, play space, their own tv (!!) and video game. Owners are great with communication and very helpful. Great week at the beach!

After years of trying and not quite succeeding at finding the perfect place in the perfect town on the perfect Great Lake for a family vacation, we pulled it off this year. Carrie's place is everything that the pictures and description and other reviews all say it is - in a word, great. It took about two days for my wife to stop talking about how clean it was and for us to get to know the nooks and crannies of South Haven, but once that was over - wow! Just the perfect spot to spend a week. The house is an easy walk to the beach and to the main business district, and it was the perfect base for our daily round (walk up to town for coffee and donuts; walk to the beach in the afternoon; walk up to town again for ice cream in the evening). We hope to return again and again to this clean, bright, white gem of a space.

We loved our stay here! This house is in the perfect location. So close to the beach, park, restaurants, shopping and bike trails! We walked / rode our bikes everywhere. The layout of the house worked well for our family.

Excellent host. Communicated well and made sure we enjoyed our stay. House was clean and updated, could walk everywhere (although we had even more fun by renting a golf cart). Rooms were very comfortable, although upper level requires walking through the bunk room and a bedroom to access the main bathroom (but what a beautiful bathroom it is!). This makes this rental best for families with children in my opinion.

This was a wonderful house for a relaxing vacation. The house is located a couple blocks from the beach, a couple blocks from the playground and a few blocks from downtown. We enjoyed the walkability, having little kids and not ever needing to load them into the car. The house was clean and the beds were all very comfortable. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very personable. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning to South Haven!

Right off the bat, Carrie and Marc communicated information to us regarding the property and our stay. Upon arrival, the house was very inviting and clean. The surrounding neighborhood was amazing, too. 2 blocks to the beach and a few more to downtown made it very convenient. Enjoyable stay for our family and would highly recommend this property! Hosts were so friendly and informative!!

Everyone loved the house! I heard people compliment the house all weekend long! The location was great, the fire pit with s’mores was so much fun, very quiet and peaceful. Super clean and organized. I would stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay! Check in was easy, owner was very nice and answered our questions. The house was clean enough you could have eaten off the floors! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen doesn’t have much cabinet space but there is enough countertops to do the trick. Besides we loved the windows in the kitchen! We loved the fireplace as we were there in March and it snowed. The area was close to town, but just far enough away to remain quite. The location couldn’t have been better. There’s plenty of parking and a great fire pit with lights. We would definitely come back. Thanks Carrie, we loved it and we will be back!

We truly had such a nice visit. Communication was excellent, and the house and fireplace were so cozy. We cooked a few meals here and loved the open kitchen. We also loved being within walking distance of just about anything. The owners have thought of everything for kids, too — puzzles, books, toys and a little screen time with Disney+. Haha. Would love to visit South Haven again in the warmer months!

Our experience at this property was amazing! The house is so adorable and clean and is stocked with everything you need. It’s perfect walking distance to everything. Our host Carrie was INCREDIBLE. She was prompt to communicate and help us with any questions we needed. She also helped me with a little extra surprise for my mom when we arrived by putting balloons and flowers ahead of time. Would recommend 10/10 and we will definitely be back! Thanks again Carrie :)

We had a great stay at Seasons of South Haven cottage! The space is perfect sized for a small family or group. We stayed as a family of 4 with two young kids (ages 3, 1) and definitely took advantage of all the amenities. Like others have noted, the 4th room isn't a true bedroom, but more of a large landing at the top of the stairs with bunk beds. It's a great kids' quarters, but does require some caution with babies/toddlers as there is no gate at top of the stairs. There are, however, great baby/kids supplies - Pack n Play, portable highchair, toys, and books, just to name a few. The location is PERFECT --- we went on lots of walks --- to the Kid's Corner, lakefront, and into town. We enjoyed the extra outdoor space/property, using the driveway and lawn for bubbles and games, without fear off being close to the street. The cottage itself was very clean and organized. We appreciated all the kitchenware for throwing together meals, to the very thoughtful welcoming gift of a s'mores kit! One of the best things about this property is working with Carrie - she is very easy to communicate with and clear in her instructions. We even had a brief power outage due to a storm and she looked into it right away (power came on maybe 10 min later).

First time to South Haven coming from Ohio and it was great experience. The beach, kids park, splash pad and restaurants are all a short walk - nice not to have to try to find parking. Owners excellent with communication and fast with responses. Place was nice and clean and well stocked for all of our needs (including toys, books, high chair and pack and play for kids) Will be looking to rent again next year!

We had a nice time. The house was nice inside and out. I would comment that it would be nice to have some storage in the kitchen. None of the cupboards were empty for storage. Our things fit on the counter and in window sills but an empty cupboard would have been helpful. The kitchen was well equipped.
The house says four bedrooms but the arrangement leaves an open loft like area (no doors to close it off as a separate bedroom) where the bunk beds are. So you're walking through the loft area to get to the two bedrooms which are on each side of the loft area. Not a problem but that's where the kids were sleeping so you have to be quiet as adults when going to bed. Just an FYI if you're bringing light sleepers
Only the downstairs bedroom had a dresser for clothing storage. Racks were provided to keep your suitcase on, but again instead of having chairs in one of the upstairs bedrooms a dresser of some sort would be nice. There were some cubbies in the bunk room for some items to be stored.
The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and the showers are perfect. The beach towels were small so you may want to bring your own. They are acceptable but I prefer a bigger towel. Nice that some were provided which is not the case in most rentals.
All in all we had a great time and understand that no house fits everyone's needs perfectly. Thanks to Carrie for the use of their beautiful home and easy check in. Everything went off without a hitch and the beach and neighborhood are lovely as usual.

We had a wonderful stay here - the location so close to kids park and a short walk to downtown area was amazing! The house was clean and very nicely updated. The bunk room upstairs acts as a walkway from the upstairs bedrooms - just a heads up for those with tricky sleepers and looking for a true 4 bedroom house. Overall a wonderful stay and communication with the owner was the best we’ve had over the years in SH.

The thoughtfulness put into the details that matter on a vacation were outstanding. The abundance of hooks available for bags/hats/coats/towels were so appreciated. The fully stocked first aid kit that my husband described as “stocked like a mom would”.
Carrie was quick to reply to our minimal questions-resetting a breaker, propane for grill-made it easy to resolve.
The beds were comfortable, the sunshine flowing into the kitchen was beautiful, and the corner lot fire pit and large driveway were perfect for scooter riding and enjoying the yard. Front porch rocking chairs were a nice touch.
We loved making memories here with our young family. The location was ideal, the space was convenient and well thought out. We will be back!
