Beautiful, comfortable house. Everything you need. Short walk to Shore Path, restaurants, shops. Perfect location: walking distance to everything, but in a peaceful neighborhood away from the crowds. In short, one of the best VRBO experiences I've ever had.

Stayed at Avery Skye last year and liked it so much we booked it again this year. Perfect location so we could walk to town and get in and out of the park very easily. Jacqueline is a fantastic host and her house is well stocked-even had a cake server for an impromptu birthday cake we bought. We loved all of the games and puzzles too.

The home was perfect. Jacqueline was so responsive to any questions we had. The house was stocked with all the essentials and she thought of everything. We were so close to Acadia
We had coffee on the front porch every morning and walked down the path to bar harbor before most were awake.
The back yard was relaxing and all in all it was a wonderful vacation for all.

Perfect location and beautiful home. Everything we could have wanted was provided. Wonderful kitchen, spacious bedrooms and lovely backyard and porch. Great home base to explore Acadia and beyond. Host was great for communication. Would definitely stay again if we are fortunate enough to be in the area.

Great house. Good location.

This home was perfect for our vacation. It is a short walk to the center of Bar Harbor and to the shore path along the water. We loved being able to walk to dinner and ice cream at night without having to find parking.
It is also close to the park so that we drove between 10-30 minutes to the busy part and the quiet part of the island respectively to hike and explore.
The street is quiet and we always felt safe there!

having traveling often and rented many vacational rentals, I can honestly say this was one of the best ever. The home was immaculate and every detail was attended to. There wasn't one thing that we wished were included in the home. Every room was totally equiped with everything needed to relax and enjoy to time to plan and cook meals and snacks. The beds were extreley comfortable and all linens and towesl were of the higest quality. The location was absolutely perfect, being able to walk to the shore or to the town for shops and restauants and the harbor.
I heartly recommend this home rental as one of the finest and one that will ensure you have a wonderful Bar Harbor experience. I hope to return again someday. Maureen and two other friends.

we had the best experience at this wonder house! it’s a few steps from the shore path which we took everyday to walk to restaurants and shops on the water. the house was very roomy and squeaky clean with everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. we went across the street one morning to a farmers market and bought delicious fruits and veggies and homemade snacks. we sat in the very private and beautiful backyard every night and enjoyed the stars. the hostess was very responsive and provided many ideas on activities in
the area. couldn’t have been
more wonderful!

This house is not cheap but well worth it. Location is perfect: only one short block to Main Street and very close to the Village Green. The house is over 100 years old and retains all the charm of such a place with modern conveniences. Decor was nice and consistent with what you would expect in a Maine house. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped for all manner of cooking. There was also a nice weber grill in the back with very nice outdoor space for both dining and lounging. We enjoyed the fire pit on the lawn as well. Bedrooms were all a good size and beds were comfy. If we come back to bar harbor we will definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. There was plenty of room for our group of six adults and two kids. House was very clean and included many thoughtful touches including more than enough towels and fans available in each bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, as well as updated applicances, and the outdoor dining and sitting areas were lovely. Local artwork throughout the house was very peaceful to look at during our time in the house. Kids were happy to have premium channels on the TV.
The location could not have been more ideal- we were able to easily walk into town and along the Shore Path every day while leaving cars in the driveway. We would love to stay here again!

Great place to stay!
My brothers and I hosted my dad’s 75th birthday trip to Bar Harbor and this was the perfect home base. We had kids and older adults and proximity to town, restaurants, shops, beautiful walking/running path overlooking the harbor was priceless. Also so close to Acadia which allowed us to really maximize our time in the park. Would be happy to stay here again!

Bar Harbor Perfection
We have been vacationing in Bar Harbor for many years and this property has been our favorite by far. From the quiet neighborhood, which is perfectly located for easy walks on the shore path and for strolling into town, to the comfortable and well appointed house and yard, we felt at ease from the moment we checked in.
Our host, Jacqueline, was great and we appreciated her many thoughtful touches like the fresh flowers and a handwritten note welcoming us. Hope we are lucky enough to stay at Avery Skye again next year !

This was the best vacation we've ever had. My wife and I took my mother, sister and my wife's parents all to Bar Harbor for a week. We hiked Acadia but the best walk in town is the shore path. We took it every morning and you can't stay any closer. The restaurants and bars were incredible and the house was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at the Avery Sky Cottage. The property is well maintained and cleaned. The owner was very efficient in communicating and providing information. The house itself is 100 years old with tremendous character while being fully functional. We used the well stocked kitchen every night. And the outdoor space was very inviting. Plus, the location was perfect - just a short walk to town and the shore path. A really nice stay in Bar Harbor.

Well appointed 100 year old home near the shore path and walking distance to restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds. Air conditioners in all but the twin bedroom. It was humid so we used a few nights. Well outfitted kitchen. Nice back deck with grill, sitting area and eating table. Flat back yard with hammock. The online listing and photos are accurate. Enjoy all that MDI and Acadia offer.

Beautiful, well appointed home in downtown Bar Harbor. Tucked away in a quite neighborhood but within walking distance to any where in Bar Harbor. Plenty of parking, good WiFi. Kitchen well stocked. Beautiful back deck and back yard and charming front porch. We were a family of 8 and had plenty of room. Easy check in and good communication with owners. Many small details attended too, i.e. umbrellas and good selection of games. Would love to stay there again.

Nice property. True 5 bedroom although one a twin. House is lovely. Walkable to anywhere in Bar Harbor and sits right by the end of the shore path. Only negative is that it was mid-90's temp several days we were there - the bedrooms have window units AC but don't think they were intended to handle that. Rest of house is un-air conditioned. Think those temps are unusual though. We would stay there again no issue.

What an amazing home for our Bar Harbor and Acadia stay! It was wonderful to walk the ocean path with coffee in the morning or sit on the back deck /swing in the hammock in the evenings. The home is close enough to walk to town for dining/restaurants, shopping, and sunrise/sunset viewing, yet removed enough for quiet and privacy - an extremely peaceful stay. The drive into Acadia only took minutes! My family of 5 had ample room/bedrooms and the 2-1/2 baths were a plus. It was a also bonus to have the washer and dryer after days of hiking in the park. Although we did not cook during our stay, the kitchen was fully stocked and there was even a grill on the deck. We had warm days during our trip but the air conditioning units and fans in each bedroom made the nights completely comfortable. The owners left small touches, such as disposable masks and hand sanitizer for our stay which were thoughtful and appreciated. I highly recommend the home and hope we can return for another stay.
