Situated in Sawyer, this lovely house for $508 per night is a great choice for your next trip. New for Summer 2024- 12 x 20 Pergola with outdoor fans and lighting to add even more appeal to the backyard oasis in summer. One mile from the amazing Warren Dunes--this is a perfect ALL-SEASON getaway on just over an acre. Winters are aided by a huge fireplace inside and a large hot tub outside... Summers are dreamy with pool, outdoor shower, and pergola. And Fall/Spring visitors get the most out of the outdoor firepit! With a whole house overhaul in 2020, the bright and open-concept kitchen is ready for a crowd and the custom square dining table easily seats 8-12. It's a perfect location for family getaways, weekends with friends, or even a holiday break. Hang out back on the new and improved large patio (pics coming in Spring 2024), sit by the outdoor fire pit, enjoy an 8-person hot tub under the stars, or even float the day away in the 30' round pool. With 3 bedrooms, the house sleeps 8 on the main floor and, in the game room downstairs, you’ll find ping pong, a pool table, and a trundle for two additional sleepers. The house is close to everything you love about Harbor Country and yet, away from the crowds. Run or bike to Warren Dunes, the Michigan Fruit Stand, or Greenbush Brewery, just about a mile down the road. Plan a vineyard or brewery tour... you can even use our bike trailer to tote gear, kids, or dogs! A perfect location for a golf getaway, biking trips, and close to all the best shops, bars, and restaurants of the area. We provide needed linens, towels, and firewood. We've even got a pack n play if you need it for your visit. Extra sanitation measures are in place. Just pull up and enjoy.) Three-day minimum in Fall/Winter/Spring and week-long minimums in Summer. (We’re dog-friendly, but not fenced and we have some restrictions regarding numbers and size so please inquire before booking if you have more than one dog.)

Pros: The location is convenient to Warren Dune State Park beach (2 minutes!) and restaurants like Greenbush and Staymaker in Three Oaks. It’s only about 20 minutes to St. Joseph Silver Beach.
The house is roomy with a good size kitchen and huge island. The dining room table is large. The washer/dryer is convenient. Ample towels. Big backyard with turkey and fawn sightings. TV was nice for watching a football game. Appliances were nice. Dishwasher pods and other products provided. Nearby railroad track sounds were entertaining for toddlers, but maybe a negative for some.
Cons: The kitchen needs an inventory taken. There were only 7 forks, no decent frying pans, no big cookie sheets for pizza, etc. The furniture was cute but not very comfy. The pool was so cold it was unusable- as if it was just filled. The pool table and ping pong table have seen better days and the equipment was worn out.
Overall, it was a nice place but for our family and the price point, it disappointed in regard to the reasons it was chosen.

We love southwest Michigan and love the lake and Sawyer. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the pool. It was way bigger than we expected! The living space is huge and perfect for family meals.

This house was perfect for a week away with three children and a dog! The pool was a huge hit! Very well maintained and refreshing with plenty of floats and room for the whole family. We enjoyed the outdoor seating for our meals and the fire pit was perfect for evening fires. Great proximity to the Warren Dunes, as well as shops (ice cream and antiques, our favorites!), several nature preserves with hiking trails, and a little “fun park” for kids (go-carts, bumper cars, mini golf, etc). The house was a great size for a family to spread out and everyone thought the beds were comfy. Plenty of games and books for a rainy day. Elizabeth is a wonderful host!

The property was as listed and more. Everything you needed was there. It was clean and homey. Meijer was just down the highway. We drove to New Buffalo, 20 min ride, ate at the Stray Dog. OMG the food was very good. I was disappointed it wasn’t warm enough to use the pool. Maybe next time because there will definitely be a next time.

The house was perfect for all of us. Plenty of space for all and lots to occupy our time. We spent evenings in the comfortable kitchen area playing games. The hot tub was an added bonus. We will recommend the house to others and hopefully be back. Love this area!

Every part of the process from booking to leaving the property was made very easy by the property owner . We even accidentally locked ourselves out and vrbo had no issue contacting the owner ( my phone was left inside ) The place is a clean and welcoming place to stay ! Wanting to visit again :)

The property is really nice and modern. It's a great little getaway and is so close to the Warren dunes. There is plenty to do north and south within a 15 minute drive. I have to give extra credit for cleanliness; the place allows pets and I didn't notice any pet hair on the furniture. Good job! The property manager was very responsive and accommodating when we had trouble working the themastat. I'm not very tech savvy and she was able to adjust the themastat to our liking without coming to the property. Wonderful place for a family to stay!

This house did not disappoint! House was clean. Lots of room to spread out. Close to different things. We would absolutely stay here again! Elizabeth was great to work with! They accepted our dogs. Yard has lots of room. Hot tub and fire pit were great!

A nice get-away for the Thanksgiving holiday and birthday. The hot tub was great, the fireplace was used every night and the pool table and table tennis (ping-pong) was so much fun! Despite the cold, we visited the Warren Dunes for some sunset photos - which was a short 5 minute drive. Very generous that bar soap, body lotion, laundry packs and firewood were provided for our stay - never had that before. Even though we only had 4, the kitchen table would be great for at least 12 people. Also, we brought some of our favorite games to play, however, they had quite the selection from which we also played. We will definitely come back again!

The house was perfect with all the essentials, so much room and so much to enjoy with the hot tub, fire pit was perfect for star gazing and relaxing, and the pool table allowed for some good indoor fun. Love the kitchen with all the seating. Definitely the heart of the house. Would recommend this to anyone looking to explore MI wineries and breweries. Thanks for a great stay!!

Our experience with this quaint home near warren dunes was exactly what we needed. We traveled with 2 kids under 8 and grandparents …. It was a great place to stay with a wide range of generations due to ease of home layout, large yard for play, hot tub to enjoy the fall foliage, and HUGE table for shared meals. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities which is great when traveling and less to worry about for packing details. Furthermore I want to thank the hosts for the ease in check out. We have traveled extensively at vacation home rentals- and the exhaustive lists for check outs have gotten ridiculous where we have debated on going back to hotel stays so we can actually finish a relaxing getaway. Staying at this wonderful sawyer home ended with ease in check out and not a laundry list of “to dos”.
Lastly- lots of great places nearby for families- Peats Cider Social, Three Oaks, Tabor hill winery, sarett nature center and of course the dunes!!

We enjoyed our stay in Sawyer. The proximity to the Warren Dunes State Park was great. The owner was quite responsive and the inside of the house was quite nice. The pool was absolutely refreshing!

Fun family vacation
My husband and I along with two nieces and their families had a wonderful week long stay at our Willow Dunes Retreat. The house was just as advertised and met all our needs. The teenagers enjoyed their trundle bed in the semi finished basement rec room with pool & ping pong and all the privacy they wanted. The open concept kitchen and dining area allowed everyone to be involved in meal prep and cleanup, and was perfect for evening game playing. Having a laundry room came in handy since we made daily use of the amazing 33 ft swimming pool which could accommodate all 8 of us and floats at the same time.! Beautiful beaches were within 5-10 minute drive; but the pool won out most days! We enjoyed the fire pit several evenings and the gas grill and patio. It was a very private property but within 15 minutes of quaint towns, shopping and a beautiful park with playground and excellent disc golf course which the guys enjoyed 3 times. We had two minor appliance malfunctions that our landlord addressed immediately. Her husband was even gracious enough to come out on July 4th morning to get our gas grill and the freezer ice cube maker operating satisfactory. A really wonderful couple to communicate with and a vacation stay above and beyond our expectations! Thank you Elizabeth and Jim!

Short trip to the beach
Loved the location, you are only about a five minute drive to Warren Dunes. Beach chairs are provided at the rental and there is plenty of space and seating in the kitchen and living area for quality time with family and friends. Loved the fire pit, pool and hot tub as well.

We had a fun filled week staying at this location. There was alot to do in the area. The week was very hot so we took advantage of the pool and the hottub when in cooled down at night. Elizabeth, the owner was very responsive with any questions that we had and even provided a detailed packet of information prior to our visit.

Our winter stay at the Sawyer Warren Dunes retreat was great, house is beautifully updated and furnished, plenty of space to spread out and relax, huge kitchen for meals, cozy fireplace, large tables for eating and doing puzzles/playing games, enjoyed the hot tub, and so close to the beach for walks. Great house and location
This was our second stay at the house and it’s great! Pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, grill...it all makes for a great family stay! House is super clean and well stocked with items you might need for a wonderful summer vacation. It’s a great location as well! Right close from the Dunes and Beach Bucket! We will definitely be back!

Everything you could want!
Nonstop pure Michigan at this property! Our four year old loved it all.
The beach is a two minute drive, and easy parking, great water and sandy beach with food trucks.
The pool was an amazing (warm!) option for when we were all beached out. The fire pit s’mores were delightful.
Sawyer has adorable shops, and is close to so many great restaurants.
We hope to come back soon!
