This was our second time staying at Island Retreat- first in this unit. We enjoyed the location of the unit and space. Could use another small couch or a few chairs in living room. Plenty of bars stools but not comfortable to gather in living room. We brought a few beach chairs in. I did read in a few reviews that the porch gate was broken and it was for our stay, too. I called maintenance Friday after noticing shared bathroom shower was broken. He came, took the broken piece and we never heard back from him so had one shower for 6 adults. Ceiling fans definitely need dusting and we found foil in the oven covered with crumbs. We did enjoy our time with family, loved the pool and beach access.

Great location for the SandFest!! The property was walking distance from the beach. The only bad thing was the patio gate was broken.

There were 2 very small issues that were absolutely not taken into consideration of the overall survey..there was a strange sock under 1 bed and the lint in the laundry dryer was EXTREMELY full..huge fire hazard!!

Great weekend getaway
We stayed at the property for a long weekend trip, and had a great experience! There were some issues with the check in process but the on-site office personnel were super helpful and quickly resolved the issue. It is about a 10 minute walk from the unit to the beach, which is really nice, but quite steep at spots.

Twelve family members gathered in the living space. It was very accommodating.

Island Retreat mgmt was very accommodating for our check-in. I realize mgmt can't make a practice of this but they assisted an earlier check-in for my elderly parents who stayed in a condo next to ours. The inside of this suite was inconsistent with the appearance of the exterior which is more dated (circa 1970's construction). Modern stainless appliances, new cabinets, blinds and furniture made this a more comfortable stay and noticeably nicer than some of the neighboring suites. The pool a stones throw from the porch. Direct view towards the beach dunes. Only minor setbacks was there was no dining table for our family to eat at and the mattresses are unusually firm. However, there's a large granite countertop with 4 barstools to help with dining and if you are active at the beach like you should be you'll still sleep okay.

the size fit our needs access to pool perfect mostly was awesome however, a dust pan to go with the broom would have been helpful, we had to get more towels brought over in the beginning not equipped for the 3 nights and 7 people. a couple more items like a griddle to make pancakes instead of one small skillet--gate worked but very unsafe for kids going in and out, tie wraps holding it in place. BUT mostly was awesome and a consideration for next summer, property very nice very clean well kept and pool area great.

Early May-Perfect Time for the Beach!
This property was perfect for our long weekend! We were 2 couples and 2 little ones and we had plenty of room leftover! Everything in this condo was brand new (Except the patio gate, which looked like it was in the process of being replaced.). Perfect 1st floor location with a big grassy yard right off the patio and SO close to the beach! We will definitely book this property again! Thank you!
