We enjoyed our stay! The reviews were right about the drive to get to the house! The nice thing is the road is in good shape just up and down and around the mountain! Would not recommended hauling a boat up there, but there was a nice place to park boat trailers! Luckily this house had a lift! Unlike most houses, the newly installed lift was SO NICE! We used it way more than I thought! We are already planning on another trip back to this house!

Amazing property! Very remote and secluded. Enjoyed are time! About a 45 minute drive from town in the mountains definitely need to make sure you have everything packed with you for food and drink, not an easy ride! But the drive was amazing scenery.

This was a beautiful home plus awesome view! Everything was nice, beds comfy, bathrooms have a sauna feel to them and the night time sky is breathtaking! Hot tub on the deck was very nice also! The decks are so nice that you will start having ideas for your home ha. Be prepared to take your groceries up on the first trip up. It’s a 25 min drive up to go 4 miles. Some steep areas and lots of curves of coarse. Once you get there you will want to stay and get cozy! If fishing don’t forget the bait ! Pretty steep stairs to the nice dock but great exercise! Not many restaurants so plan on cooking! Have fun, it’s all about the memories… we aren’t promised tomorrow so make them today!

On The Rocks
Our group of 4 couples had a wonderful and relaxing vacation at this home. Everything we needed was provided at this unique mountain lake property. We created delicious meals, rented a pontoon boat and floated on the lake, and just enjoyed each other’s company while staying here for the week.

Nice house but lots of stairs to the lake
This was a very nice house and very remote. Dock was nice but it is about 200 steps from the house so this would be very difficult for young kids and older adults. Dock lights were not working which unfortunately prevented using the dock at night so you have very limited night activity. The dock also had a loose floor tile which could be very dangerous as I fell through the dock during our first walk around. Both issues were communicated to the property manager during the stay but neither were addressed during our stay.

Very nice property. The weather was rainy off and on, so we did our tourist stuff, played games or enjoyed the hot tub. There are a lot of steps to the dock, but a nice view of the lake. I will say the drive up is an adventure, my crew are road warriors and all drive 4-wheel drive. If you have someone with motion issues take something before you start up. Abby was easy to contact and addressed minor issue right away. Would recommend , just don't forget the milk on the way up.

We have been renting vacation rentals for years now, with our family and friends. By far, this was the best house we rented. All the amenities in this house are the best and are top-notch items and fittings.
Be it the utensils, patio furniture, indoor furniture, bathroom fittings - everything inside and around the house are the best we have seen.
The route to the house is a bit lengthy, it takes 30 minutes to cover 7 miles, but the drive is worth it. It goes up and down in small mountains, with many hairpin bends, ups, and downs, and will be pretty dangerous driving at night. Be careful and if you motion sick, get some medications before the drive.
The nearest Walmart is 40-45 minutes away and has an Ingles store near the Walmart. I would suggest stocking up on essentials if you don't want the drive frequently.
The steps down to the river are pretty steep and be prepared for many stops on your way up. We didn't get into the lake as we visited in December.
The lake and mountain view from the deck are amazing and is worth every penny. There is no one to disturb you in the lake too.
We spend 4 nights and 3 days at the house and everyone was so happy with the house and amenities. The manager was so helpful once we were able to get in touch with them. There is little to no wireless coverage ( we had T-Mobile), but once we got in and connected to WiFi, everything was smooth.
I wanted to give an honest review and hope this helps. Everything was so good at the house and it had all the best amenities we have seen for a while in rental houses.

We rented this beautiful house despite the fact that the only review available at the time said “There are a lot of stairs down to the lake”. Well, there ARE a lot of stairs down to the lake. About 180 if I remember correctly. Since we were on vacation and eating a lot, I felt it was a fair trade to walk the stairs every day, which we all did. There’s a floating dock that is partially covered. Very nice to sit down there when it rained and not get wet. The chairs available on the dock were locked in a little shed, and very clean. The kids enjoyed fishing and swimming. There were 3 kayaks available, about 30 steps up from the dock, on a landing. We had to carry them down and back up. Definitely a two man job. They could probably use a good cleaning. The seats were not pleasant. We just sat on some towels. The house itself was beautiful! The bedrooms were big, had comfy beds, and had beautiful bathrooms. The decor of the house was so nice!! The kids loved the bear in the living room, the pool table and the card table in the basement . The adults loved the seating area on the porch outside the kitchen, and the hot tub.. The firepit area was really nice, but we didn’t get to use it because the wood was so wet and we didn’t pick up any wood while in town. The negative things are: it is about 30 minutes from town. We stopped and got groceries in town on our way TO the house. We packed the cold stuff in a cooler with some ice. I would strongly recommend shopping beforehand, because not only is it 30 minutes away, the roads to the house are twisty and some are very steep. We didn’t want to go back down the mountain once we got to the house at 7pm. A 4 WD vehicle would be helpful. We made the drive with a small enclosed trailer attached to an Expedition without a problem, but it’s something you should be aware of beforehand. Also, pay close attention to the gps directing you to the house, because 1 wrong turn could take you out of the way. There are not a lot of places to just turn around. The other negative was the spotty WiFi. The best signal seemed to be in the upstairs bedroom. The worst place was downstairs or out on the deck. There are plenty of trees on all sides of the house providing privacy. The view is amazing. Overall, we really liked this property. There was plenty of space for 2 families. While there, we rented a pontoon from a nearby marina, went to a waterfall, and hiked in Cumberland Gap State Park.
